With a brand new bathroom, a well-equipped kitchen with top line appliances, a dining room with soaring ceilings, Provençal floor tiles and large beams, this space was designed to be luxurious and theatrical.

1 - Duration of rental:
Your stay cannot exceed the number of nights indicated on your rental contract.
2 - Arrivals:
. Arrival is handled at the apartment after 2pm. Should the apartment be
vacant the night prior to your arrival, we offer the possibility of entry before 2pm.
. In case of delay at your arrival, we ask you to inform us as soon as
possible so we may reorganize accordingly.
. Any check in between 11pm to 5am will be subject to 50€ super late check in
fee.
3 - Departure:
. Check out time is until 10am.
. We will meet you at the agreed time. A survey of the apartment will be done in your presence.
. The tenant will, at this time, return the keys.
. Should the apartment be vacant the evening of your departure date, it is possible to request to stay in the premises until 12pm. Please do not hesitate to contact us to know whether this option is possible or not.
. If your departure time must be after 12pm we suggest that you extend your rental time to 7pm, for a supplement of only 50% of the per night rate, provided that the apartment is not rented that evening. Should this apply to you, please contact us.
B - USE OF PREMISES
. The residence shall not be occupied by or left in the care or anyone not listed below. The number of people occupying the apartment must not exceed the
number of 4 people. No exceptions will be made. This policy guarantees our customers maximum comfort.
. The guest shall not keep any pets without written permission from the owner.
. The apartment is for personal use only. The apartment is not to be used for professional or commercial activities of any kind. The guest shall use the premises only as a temporary residence and shall not engage illegal, dangerous nuisance or other activity that could embarrass the owner or cause the owner to receive complaints from other residents or building management.
. The guest and accompanying occupants agree to not make noise or otherwise disturb other tenants and agree to respect the rules common to the building. Should the guests ignore the rules of the building, they engage their sole responsibility.
. The owner shall not be responsible for any injury, loss or damage to tenant and guests or guest's belongings other than as a result of the owner gross negligence.
. The guest agrees that smoking is not allowed in the apartment.
. The guest agrees to be responsible for insuring his personal property.
. During reasonable hours, the owner shall have the right to enter the premises for necessary repairs, upon prior notice of the guest.
. The owner will not be held responsible for cuts in water, gas or electrical service, or theft or damages involving the guest’s personal effects. Nor will the owner be held responsible for neighborhood nuisances.
IMPORTANT:
1 - All debris, rubbish and discards should be removed from the apartment.
2 - No dishes should be left dirty. All garbage should be removed from the apartment.
3 - No damage should be done to unit or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear.

Lovely apartment. Right in the heart of the city.

My husband and 12 year old son enjoyed our one week stay in Marseille at this apartment. Yes, it is on the top floor requiring climbing up stairs at the end of the tiring day but well worth the accommodation. The air conditioning was very welcomed after the end of a long day. My son loved the loft area and claimed it as his room. The upstairs was definitely hotter but there was a fan to help with keeping it cool. My husband and I opted to the lower floor bedroom for temperature reasons. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable. The view is incredible. There were nearby eateries and markets. the home is well appointed and very comfortable. The bed was a bit more firm than preferred but still slept well. I would highly recommend but just be forewarned about the climb up the stairs. We would stay here again. Also the check in process was very smooth and Kenya was very communicative and easy to contact to update her on our arrival to Marseille. The check out process was very easy as well.

This is a nice property in a great location. I likely would have selected a different property for our stay in Marseille had I understood the nature of the vertical climb required to access the apartment: the 4+ flights of stairs that you have to scale to reach the front door are quite difficult (and we are physically fit!). I would also comment that the apartment floor plan is a bit unusual. The loft is also difficult to access (another steep ascent). I can't imagine that this would be a comfortable apartment stay for more than 2 guests. With that said, we had a nice stay - a number of very good restaurants within 50 meters of the front door!

With its proximity to the "vieux port" and the metro, the flat is ideally located for exploring Marseille. Despite the hustle and bustle of the streets, we had relatively quiet nights as the windows isolate well. It was also pleasantly cool thanks to the air conditioning. The maisonette area can be a bit stuffy, but we were still able to sleep there. All in all, we had a lovely time.

We (2 adults and a teen) were extremely happy with this apartment, the photos may not do the place complete justice. It offers an amazing view and it has an amazing location (in addition to the obvious, la navette maritime 3 min walk from the building took us to L'Estaque (North, for kayaking) and to La Pointe Rouge and La Goude (South, for e-biking in the calanques) all in within another 5-10 minutes walk from the destination port. Totally unexpected and a treat in itself as we opted not to rent a car. Finally, the apartment itself was absolutely magical: in an old building with nice niches and the mezzanine that made our teen happy to take possession of. Another plus, it had everything, the kitchen was all equipped, an extra touch was the dryer! Yes, it works! Well, the touch... dryer for me/coffee machine for my husband. :) Grocery stores and restaurants practically just out of the building. And, I can go on: the communication with Marc was great, getting the keys easy! For us, the stairs too were amusing - great practice before hiking. Seriously, not for people with mobility or heart problems, and ... they could make you buy croissants for breakfast on your way up the evening before, ha ha totally not French, but we had a blast. BTW we are not in top shape despite all sporty things we claimed we did, surely we were not fit when we arrived, so if we could do it, you can too and the place is totally worth it!

My family and I had an amazing visit to Marseille, and Marc's apartment was the perfect place to stay! The home was spacious, clean and centrally located to restaurants, groceries, attractions, the port, metro and bus lines. Marc and his local contracts were friendly and knowledgeable; the check in and out processes were easy and communication was timely. Honestly, we couldn't have picked a better place to stay!

Apartment was exactly as pictured. Excellent location nigh in old port, easy walking distance to shops, train, and transportation. There was a grocery, boulangerie, and many restaurants right downstairs. The apartment had everything I needed during my stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Location Location Location
Absolutely the most perfect location ever. Minutes from everything and the restaurant options are endless. It was easy to shop around and drop off our finds back at the apartment to lighten our load and keep exploring. By the end of our stay we felt like locals.
We were initially there for a concert at the Orange Velodrome, which also proved very easy to get to via the metro.
The only note to mention is that it is on the 4eme Etage and there is not an elevator. Being I am the sort to always take the stairs, we weren't impacted much by the climb. If you are fit and travel light fear not - for this is your place. I will admit, I had some trouble getting my heavy suitcase down for our final ride to the airport, but that was my fault for all the amazing shopping.

Excellent Apartment
My wife and I enjoyed our 2-week stay in Marc’s apartment. Although in our 70’s and with heavy luggage, we managed to climb the four flights of stairs (106 steps) on our arrival and, after a few days, almost got used to it. Air conditioning was real plus during the heat wave! Hard to beat the location.

We are a family of three and had a wonderful stay at this apartment. Our teenager lived the lift area and we enjoyed the extra space to spread out. Lots of stairs and no lift, but we were gone all day so it wasn’t an issue.

Conference and Holiday in Marseille
We enjoyed this large comfortable apartment in the heart of Marseille. Despite its location it was very quiet. Bakeries, restaurants and shops are a short walk, as is the market in the Old Port. There is even a cool hardware store on the ground floor of the building.
The apartment is on the 4th floor (5th floor if you are from North America) so it is best suited to people who are comfortable climbing 5 full sets of stairs.

Superb Apartment and Location
We enjoyed our stay in this apartment immensely. It would be impossible to find a more perfect location. It is steps away from the Vieux Port and is right in the center of a vibrant area of the old town of Marseille. There are literally hundreds of restaurants, other eating places, and bars within a few minutes walk. We were overwhelmed by the number of them and by the very excellent food. There is a grocery store and boulangerie right outside the apartment and a vast array of shops of every type in the immediate vicinity. The apartment is also a very short distance away from bus stops, the metro stop, and taxis. We didn't use public transportation very much, though, since the apartment is ideally situated for walking.
The apartment itself was perfect for us also. We were a group of three friends and used the sofa sleeper in addition to the two bedrooms. One bedroom is completely enclosed and private. The other is in the loft, which also has privacy but is more open to the lights and sounds from below. The comfortable sofa sleeper is in the living room. The layout is very convenient. The kitchen is in the front of the apartment near the front door, so is away from the sleeping areas in case someone wants to get up early and have coffee or have a late snack. We ate only breakfast in the apartment because of the incredible selection of restaurants in the area, but the kitchen is complete with everything needed for cooking.
The four flights of stairs were no problem at all. We took breaks at the landings and considered the walk up the stairs good exercise.
Marc was very friendly and always prompt in responding to our inquiries.
If you are looking for a great apartment in the center of the "real" Marseille, you cannot do better than this one! Very highly recommended!

Great Stay in Marseille!
We loved Marc's apartment! It is VERY roomy and the view is wonderful. Many stairs up but great exercise. Lots going on at the port all the time but my favorite was the morning fish market. Grocery store and Pastry shops are just a few doors away. Look for the store "Mr. Bricolage" in big red letters — the entrance is right next door. Herve met us there when we arrived and he was terrific. Parking is in an underground garage across the street.

We loved it!
We so enjoyed our time in Marseille! The location of the space is very central to all we needed. It was in short walking distance to the Metro that is very easy to use. It was right where all the boats are for touring Marseille by boat. Kenya met us there with the keys and was very helpful to give us all the info we needed. We really were only in the flat in the evening since we were gone all day and so the internet was very important to us when we got back and it worked well. For us, it is easily a 5-star place as it was very clean and useable--the only hesitation is the steps up to the 4th floor. But we would no doubt rent it again!

Central location and large apartment
The apartment was just as described, centrally located and as shown in the pictures. It is very spacious and well equipped. It was great to have a washing machine!! Didn't realize until our last day that there was an air conditioner so found it a little noisy with the windows open, and a bit warm too, however the air conditioner would have made a big difference. Furniture was minimal and the sofa not so comfortable, but the beds were fine. It is a fourth floor walk up which was fine for us, but even being in good shape the stairs were pretty steep. Just an FYI! I gave it four stars because it is very well equipped the owner/ property manager were easy to deal with, and the location is great!

A perfect mid-term home away from home
I enjoyed Marc's apartment along with my two daughters and a friend for 2 weeks in the fall of 2016. It was as described - which to me is the gold standard. I am a Resort Manager and a former VRBO Owner myself and while not particularly fussy I expect to get what I pay for and I was very pleased with my stay. We all agreed that it was a perfect location at a good price point for us. Overlooking the Plaza below was endlessly fascinating and the view of the harbor in the other direction was equally wonderful. The afternoon sun glowing through the west facing French Doors was beautiful. The apartment is very spacious and tastefully if somewhat sparsely furnished (but definitely adequate) and the kitchen was modern and fully functional; there was everything we needed to make our own meals when we wanted to. The electronics were better than I would normally expect in a rental; TV with lots of channels, a good stereo system and above average wifi - none of which I care to do without. The washing machine worked and was used but the dryer cycles did not work. However there was a drying rack which served but also indicates to me that this is a known bug.
The location in addition to the views was near a host of restaurants of every type from Vietnamese to McDonalds, outdoor cafes too numerous to count and several grocery stores within a couple of blocks and a pharmacy. Also, I rented a car for a week of our stay, and while I would never recommend driving in Marseille for the faint of heart there is underground parking available right across the street. A bus stop is right across the street as well as a taxi stand (which was perpetually manned) and a metro station nearby, closer to the harbor itself.

Stunning Views
The flat is spacious, airy and well designed. The balcony is a showstopper with the best views of the square - you can sit out with a glass of wine in the evenings and watch the world go by. Perfect location with all the facilities we needed.

Excellent, spacious and well located apartment
We (two adults and one teenager) have just returned from an excellent stay in Marseille. We often stay in self catering accommodation and this is one of the best we have stayed in for the size, quality of accommodation, the facilities in the apartment and location. It was a stone's throw away from the Vieux Port from which there are good public transport links. Marseille itself had more to offer than we had realised and there was more than enough to do in the six days we spent there. We would definitely return to both Marseille and this apartment. Even with the 106 step climb!

comfortable, bright, great location
So pleased as we walked in the door. Spacious, clean with beautiful open living area. Two separate bedrooms with comfortable queen size beds and good storage for clothing. Well appointed kitchen with all you need and a nice bathroom.
Great location within an easy walk to the metro, ferry and all the vieux port sights. Nice bakery a few doors down for a simple morning coffee and croissant as well as a small store for a quick grocery shop. Restaurants are plentiful just across the Cours Jean Ballard and many places to stop for an afternoon break and sit outside.
We would also enjoy a late afternoon break sitting in the comfortable living area with the sun shining in the open windows that lead to balconies. Nice view from this 4th floor duplex. That means 5 flights of stairs so would not work for someone who would have difficulty with this. For us it was not a problem and we enjoyed the view. Getting suitcases up and down upon arrival and departure was an effort but we were offered help.
We also appreciated the many guide books and maps that were in the duplex.
I would absolutely stay here again!

Ideal for family holiday
We had an idyllic family holiday at Marc's apartment for 11 days, my husband and I and our six year old twins. It is airy and bright, with lots of open floor space for playing, building of forts and driving matchbox cars. The fully equipped kitchen meant we could prepare most of our own meals (with fabulous ingredients from the Lafayette Gourmet grocery 10 minutes stroll away). The sunsets were magnificent over the Notre Dame de la Garde, and the harbour. The location of the apartment itself is superb, utterly walkable area, and not even 3 minutes to the Metro station. Once on the metro, you are 2 stops away from St Charles train station and can easily do day trips to the Calanques, Cassis and Aix-en-Provence. We would highly recommend this property and look forward to a repeat visit.
