Everything! Angela was the most perfect host and went above and beyond. So generous and helpful with organising things for me. Not only has she designed a beautiful property, there were so many wonderful extras and she went out of her way to make the stay at Atheras a perfect experience. You really do not need to take anything other than yourself and clothes with you as Angela made sure the villa had all provisions in place. The flower and fruit tress in the garden were lovely and it was wonderful to be able to have a refreshing swim in the pool in the beautiful surroundings. The property exceeded my expectations and was idyllic with beautiful views looking beyond mountains and the sea.

Shower was too hot and struggled to control. The mattress in the second bedroom was a little uncomfy. Exact directions to park the car would help.

The hospitality of Angela was more then a 10 (:; she is a great host, who makes every trip a great experience. Our favorite aspect of the villa was the pool with a super view to the sea and the landscape of north-west Kefalonia. We will definitly come back. Thanks a lot Angela

Beautiful villa located in a peaceful village on the hill tops .One can begin to appreciate the amount of effort and passion Angela has put on every single piece of decor once you live in the villa . The host was really helpful and was always there to ensure our stay was comfortable , enjoyable and memorable.We had fresh bread left each day which was really nice gesture.The village also has a beautiful beach which is around 3 km from the villa and great for hike ,picnic or family day .
If you are looking to spend some quiet time away from busy life look no further .

What a beautiful house. So nice to stay in a villa that has so much character and loving attention to detail paid to all aspects of the build and decoration. From the quality of the sun beds, to the pool, the lighting, the aspect of the terraces and to the full fridge. But as a super keen gardener I was also in love with the planting.

Angela is a fabulous host, together with her mother warm and welcoming. Generously stocked fridge and local provisions on arrival. The villa, pool and garden are beautful - and equipped and maintained to a high standard. Lovely rural location on edge of quiet village, with extensive views. Very peaceful and comfortable. Superb family run fish restaurant at nearby Atheras beach (approx May- early Oct).

We had a fabulous five night stay in August. The villa is exquisite - well appointed and comfortable, fully air conditioned with exceptional, lovingly tended gardens overlooking the coastal headlands towards the sea. We very much enjoyed the well-maintained swimming pool. There is parking space on the property. All of this is self contained and completely private. The area itself is very quiet - perfect for total relaxation. The local beach is just stunning - try the taverna on the beach with fabulous food.
Angela is a warm, kind and generous host. We were grateful for the well-stocked fridge - beer, wine, local honey and preserves etc. Fresh bread delivered everyday.
Our stay was just perfect and we hope to return.

The location overlooking both sea and mountains was breathtaking. The grounds and pool were very well maintained and the lovely host (Angela) provided us with more than we could have imagined; baby crib, extra cot, fresh fruit, milk, eggs, cold cuts, coffee, toast, honey, wine, olive oil, cookies, juice...you name it!! In other words, don't grocery shop before you arrive. We had a small issue with the hot water in the bath and she immediately came to our aid to fix it. She was very attentive to everything, wanting to make sure we were always satisfied and all I can say is, she didn't disappoint! Next time we come to Kefalonia, this is the place to be!!
Parking was a little difficult so if you drive stick you better be well accustomed to some steep parking.

The villa was beautiful and clean, it had everything needed and more. The pool was outstanding, a really good size with a lovely view. There were sunbeds and a sun umbrella. The nearest beach was atheras beach (10 min drive) which was beautiful and mostly frequented by locals, with a great taverna Gialos just above the beach. Angela was a great hostess who was very attentive and ensured we had everything we needed. She left us some groceries in the fridge which was very helpful and brought us fresh bread every day.
The location was in a small remote village so about a 20 minute drive to Lixouri which was the nearest town with mini market, cafes restaurants etc. a quiet location if you want to get away from it all, but no amenities in the village.

Angela was a fantastic hostess from start to finish. We booked this wonderful villa for our honeymoon. Angela greeted us on arrival and had decorated the villa especially for the occasion, stocking the fridge with essentials and even treating us to a wedding cake! The villa was spotless, cool from AC in every room and the pool and views are best we've ever seen! Thanks again to Angela and her family for making the best honeymoon!
Also I think the Villa has been redecorated since the photos were taken on here so it looks even better!

The owner was friendly and a great host. The fridge was full and we got fresh bread every day. We got everything we asked for and she provided all the information neded. The poll was an added bonus and really refreshing. The house felt like home. Very flexible with the check out....

The villa was really nice and the pool area was fantastic, especially the garden and the view!
Nothing major - the bed could have been more comfortable and a shower curtain would have been welcome.

The location is in a small and quiet village, Atheras.The view is absolutely amazing.
The house & the pool has everything you need for a family with 2-3 kids and our host, Angela was the best.

The villa is just as nice, maybe even nicer, than the photos! a beautiful private spot on the hillside with views out to sea. The pool was amazing and gets sun all day long. Aircon in the living room and both bedrooms so we were very comfortable. The host is very keen to make sure you have a wonderful stay.

The hostess was the sweetest and brought us fresh homemade bread daily! Made us feel so welcome and provided tips on what to do and where to eat in Kefalonia. From the minute we walked on to the property we were blown away by the view! Pictures don’t do it justice and it is really as beautiful as the pictures. Everything was clean and we had everything we needed. The private pool was amazing and so relaxing. Breakfast in the morning on the terrace was beautiful. Truly absorbed in nature with the beautiful gardens full of beautiful flowers with butterflies everywhere. My family and I will miss this place and am thankful we chose this place over a hotel. Recommend to definitely rent a car as it is located in a village up in the mountains but great starting point to visit the many different areas of the island. There is a beach about a mile away with 2 really good tavernas as well. Just book it! You won’t regret it.

The house is very beautiful and clean. The pool is fantastic and the view is amazing.
The location of the house is perfect, with easy access to the most beautiful beaches in Kefalonia: Myrtos, Fteri, Petani, Vouti and Agia Eleni.
Also, Angela is a perfect host, being very responsive to all our requests and very kind. She suprised us with traditional products from Kefalonia, which we've really appreciated. 😊

The location was fantastic and the view of the sea spectacular! The pool was very nice and the host was superb. Anything we needed she took care of - we highly recommend Country Villa Atheras. Both bathrooms were very nice and well-appointed, as also was the kitchen. The WiFi worked great too. The entire property was very clean and livable, with plenty of room to relax and enjoy the surroundings. It was located nearby our favorite beach, and driving the entire island was easy to do from the location. At night you could watch the sunset from the deck of the pool, and later you could star gaze from the same location. A welcome gift from our hostess was a yummy dessert cake, and the kitchen was well stocked with beverages, meats, cheese, condiments, etc., and fresh bread was brought to us each day. Our host was very pleasant and helpful, gave great advice for things to see and do, and really just wanted us to be happy during our stay. And we were. Very!
Not our host's fault: Three weeks prior to our arrival, a huge storm (like a hurricane) washed out the main road between the ferry port of Sami and Atheras. This meant trips to the other side of the island took longer, Our host was positive, explained our options, gave great recommendations on routes to travel, and we adapted.

We stayed at the villa for three weeks (July through to August).
We were treated very well by our host, Angela, and the fridge was stocked with some food, wine and beer on our arrival. We were made to feel very welcome and comfortable.
The villa itself is immaculate and well equipped- it was so clean- and practically, we didn’t want for anything. There is more than enough cookware to make meals and all the features and facilities are of a very high standard. We were impressed. The villa was cleaned every couple of days and we had an abundance of fresh towels and toiletries.
The pool was great. It’s around 10 meters long and more than catered for our needs. It provided a lot of entertainment and fun for our children (4 & 15yrs). Swimming in the pool early in the morning or late in the night is a wonderful experience! The garden that surrounds the pool is pretty and blooming. The pictures do not lie-it’s a stunning as it looks!
Every morning we were able to eat our breakfast listening to the goats and their bells moving across the fields while gazing out across the beautiful Atheras landscape. Each evening we were well placed to observe the stars and spot a shooting star too!
Atheras was a lovely village where we were able to experience real Greek life (no British 👍🏼) which was a great opportunity and it was just what we were looking for. Real Greek life with real Greeks and we were not disappointed. We were surrounded by the sights and sounds of Greece and we loved it all especially listening to everyone chatting away into the night.
The village has a cafe which serves delicious food and drinks and all the community visit most days (it seems).
A little way down the hill is Porto Atheras where you can enjoy long, lazy days swimming in the bay and playing - plus there are two fantastic restaurants to enjoy (don’t be squeamish-the fish is served whole-not as a fillet and it is DELICIOUS).
Advice:
You absolutely need a car.
Only that maybe a iPod docking station would be a good investment :-)
