Superb!

This was my second stay and I hope to return again. The surrounding natural environment is so peaceful. We had rabbits visiting us every morning. The lodge (17) was lovely and situated in a great position with a good amount of privacy. Beds are very comfy and the shower was powerful. All the furnishings and appliances are of very good quality.The kitchen contains everything you need. The lodge really is a home from home. The welcome tray is a nice touch (tea, coffee, sugar, milk, biscuits and crisps) and means you don't need to bring too much for your first night. They even provide cleaning/washing up stuff too. There is a big supermarket just down the road and takeaway delivery services serve the lodges. The hot tub is wonderful and it's well worth choosing this option.

Check out time of 10am is a bit early for my liking - 11 would be preferable. WiFi was fine for phones but the iPlayer didn't work well and we had to give up watching.

Excellent lodge very clean and the staff were very friendly and welcoming with good communication would definitely visit again. Loved that we had a little welcome pack also 😊

We all thoroughly enjoyed our break and we were able to easily visit Paultons Park.

location facilities and cleanliness. nothing was missing or not working. very well equipped beds/pillows comfortable

Perfect city escape in the countryside but still nice and close to fab attractions!

Overall it was such a lovely stay in the lodge as our first trip with a newborn. It was so nice to be away in the fresh air surrounded by nature. The location was nice and close to Winchester and other local attractions which was great for days out. We loved the hot tub facility that was very clean (although heavy with chemicals so much so that it bleached our swimming costumes!). The lodge was clean and spacious and there was enough space for all our baby’s stuff! The multimedia TV experience was brilliant too. Would definitely return! The hosts were great and very responsive to our needs.

The units were less secluded that we anticipated - you often get views of the neighbours and them of you in all rooms/the patio which is a little unnerving. When we arrived we noticed some dirty mugs that were packed in the cupboard. To be picky, there was also no hand soap provided in the kitchen, and very few bin bags which was tricky with baby nappies. We actually went to buy handsoap and bin bags during our stay. The bins in the kitchen were so small and the guests are asked to throw the rubbish out in the main bins (a walk from the lodge) on check out. One toilet didn’t flush well which was less than ideal and we didn’t love the one ply toilet paper. However these were minor things and we still had a lovely stay!

The lodge was clean, larger than expected with a veranda that was safe for our 2 year old to play. It had many extras to the usual stays with a deep freeze, dishwasher and washing machine. As it is made of wood the insulation was very good.

Maybe a few more cleaning cloths but that is only an observation.

location & lodge was absolutely lovely. we all enjoyed our stay especially with hot tub.

no milk provided at lodge when been said in welcome information. contacting the office was difficult as all of us are deaf so the communication was limited.

Our cabinet was very cold and the beds were very hard. Maybe they were 5* when new but they definitely are not 5* now!

Super relaxing stay

The lodge was amazing! Really well equipped and enormous. The tray of treats was a lovely touch. Hot tub was brilliant - lovely and warm. The surrounding area is so well kept too and very peaceful. We're not golfers but visited the clubhouse bar a couple of times for drinks and food and found it very welcoming with a lovely terrace. We stayed for 4 nights and it went too quickly. Hope to visit again.

Location, accommodation, space and use of the mini golf course was great!

The floor boards were very creaky but I'm not sure you can do much about that. The bottom of the toilet bowl in the en suite bedroom in cabin number 2 was a bit stained, but at home I find a toilet pummel stone works a treat. Other than that the accommodation was wonderful - Thank you!

Very spacious and comfy lots of great eating places around

Stayed with grandchildren who loved the hot tub and space around the lodge and site. Easy access for visit to Beaulieu motor museum and Winchester Science museum

Lodge was lovely, decor was great and upkeep also very good. Hottub was great and well serviced. In a lovely quiet location. Lovely large decking with gate so that my dog had a lovely area to roam. Nice welcome pack as well

Lovely lodge in excellent surroundings.

Lodge was superb and location excellent. 15 mins to Winchester and 30 mins to the New Forest. Facilities in lodge were good, very clean and beds extremely comfortable.

Hot water supply ran out rather quickly it was obviously an issue as it was stated in the lodge’s book that thermostat had to be reset if water ran cold. However if a lodge is advertised for six persons there should be enough for everyone to use in the mornings . We staggered our showers and it worked okay however we shouldn’t really have to do that for the money we paid.Nevertheless it wouldn’t stop us from booking again with South Winchester lodges.

Pleasant but basic

*The surrounding views *The shower - amazing *The beds comfortable *The size of the lodge *Clean and tidy. *plenty of towels *two pin shaver in both bathrooms. *booked a lovely massage with Lisa. *Washing machine- total winner!

*Main TV are too high. *BedroomTV practically on the ceiling. *Electric heating- cold *Slippery kitchen floor *Oddly placed sofas *Glass topped tables with sticking out legs (tripping hazard) *Carpet needs a clean. *Badly misplaced mirror, away from plugs in Bedroom. *Poor lighting. *Nothing to do close by. Ended up driving half an hour for any family fun. *Bangs in the night (guessing people closing hot tub lids at 1.30am) *Trip hazards on the bottom of door frames (see photos) *Potholes everywhere , completely unaffordable. *old cobwebs and small spider *Fairly surrounded by other cabins.
