Très très déçu

Ce fut ma 3e fois que je séjournais. Heureusement de la complicité de Jacques que j’ai pu rentrer. Vos beaux mots de bon voyage ne cachent pas déception.

La communication ne s’est pas faite soit par courriel. Pas de plan B en cas de désastre. L’air climatisé tellement froid, donc pas de couverture pour rester au chaud. Même pas d’eau potable disponible. Un odeur nauséabonde qui sort du frigo lorsque la porte est ouverte. En plus c’est endroit fumeur où on mange. Je devrais recevoir un remboursement. Pas de gérance sur place.

Very Dirty for most of my stay. Not fitting for me as a traveler since most people were mexican workers. Wifi did not work.

The outside area

The communal kitchen area is a health hazard. Understand that it's up to the people living there to clean up but there is no supervision and people have different standards.

Not bad for the money.

it was very reasonably priced for Puerto Morelos.

I’ve never stayed in a hostel before and so don’t really have anything to compare it with. The kettle and coffee maker didn’t work and it generally felt like it could do with a bit of a spruce up.

good, but would be better if there was someone on-site to address issues

clean, comfortable room, good for the price

the pool was dirty so we never got it and didn’t see anyone else use it either. we stayed one week, and the room was never serviced, so no new towels and since you can’t flush TP, the bathroom garbage got stinky and we took it out ourselves but then had to find a new garage bag. also had to find more TP.

It is a good place for working guys or backpackers. the shower was just a trickle. the kitchen was usually quite messy.

no wifi in the rooms but no private area for phone calls either.

Great location, helpful staff

Pool area is great, outside relaxing area has comfy seating, roof top terrace has good views, excellent showers, good sized lock box for passports etc. Good pick up service from the airport. Staff helpful. Felt very safe

I was on my own in an 8 bed dorm, no aircon only a fan, very hot even with one person. Room would be cramped with 8 people+luggage. Toilet cistern broken but usable although staff explained that there was a difficulty in obtaining the appropriate part.Nowhere to put luggage securely. Fridge disorganised. No information booklet so constantly having to ask staff for information. Difficult to avoid smokers in the outside area-personal issue

I had an absolute blast at Humanity Hostel, from the beginning to the end !!!!!!! I am so happy I came to this tiny hostel, at first I wasn’t sure about Puerto Morelos, but the village is fantastic. Valeria has been an AMAZING host, she helped me out at the hostel, explained everything I needed, gave me tips about the town. She really made me feel like home !!! 💕💕 I will 100% come back ! Lili

You guys should add a kettle and microwave, otherwise all good!

Cheap stay in the village 3 km from the beach

The staff is really nice and the distance to the beach is walkable (30 min). It was a good idea to go there on foot because I saw a crocodile in the mangrove along the road. ;) The room was clean, the location is also nice beacuse it is very close to the center of the village.

A nice, quiet hostel

I really enjoyed my stay. The staff and the young woman taking care of the place, Valeria, was very friendly and always cleaning. The place was very clean, including the pool. And she likes speaking with the guests in English and is very helpful if you want to practice your Spanish too! We had fun language exchanges. It was nice to be in a "local" neighborhood in a quiet hostel. It isn't a party hostel with a noisy bar. It is only a few years old and in the private room the furnishings looked new and the bed was comfortable. The dorms look nice and well maintained also. There are outdoor, but covered common areas. A comfy sitting area by the pool, shared kitchen, and counters to sit by, adequate to do work if needed. It is about a 7 minute walk from the ADO minibus stop. Easy to find. Major supermarket and cheap, local restaurants nearby. Transport to the beach is inexpensive.

Nothing really. Eventhough I did not book an AC room, I never felt hot. The fan, window, and ventilation kept the room cool. But there is an AC room and some dorms have AC if you need it.

The staff are nice. Adequate facilities in relation to the price.

A microwave would have been nice. I would bring a bed topper as the mattresses are extremely uncomfortable.
