About this house rental
The house has been completely renovated recently. It stands by the sea and enjoys excellent southern exposure, so it is full of light. The blue ceramics and white furniture enhance its Mediterranean and maritime characteristics, making it very pleasant and welcoming
From home - one of the oldest in the Stazzone fishing village - you can enjoy a spectacular view of the sea and the port of Sciacca: just sit on the balcony to follow the coming and going of boats and fishing boats from the docks and observe how the sea changes during the arc of the day.
From Stazzone it is possible to reach on foot, in about ten minutes, the picturesque port of Sciacca (one of the largest fishing ports in Italy), and in about 20 minutes the center of Sciacca. For those who do not intend to tackle the climb that leads to the center, a shuttle service is generally available in summer. Leaving the house, then, you can directly access the Lido beach, for pleasant walks in the direction of Capo San Marco.
Sciacca is an excellent starting point for visiting some of the most beautiful and interesting places in Sicily. Proceeding eastwards, in the direction of Agrigento, sea lovers will find long sandy and pebble beaches, often still wild and not too crowded even in August. The first noteworthy place along the road is, in my opinion, Piana Grande, followed by Borgo Bonsignore, with the Foce del Fiume Platani nature reserve; beyond the mouth of the river and the imposing Capo Bianco, the long beach of Eraclea Minoa, with the archaeological area where the remains of the city founded in the 6th century are visible. C. dai selinuntini, and then Bovo Marina, the oriented nature reserve of Torre Salsa, the white and charming Scala dei Turchi. Continuing eastwards, about 60 km from Sciacca, you can visit the Valley of the Temples and, once in the area, go and take a look at the Farm Cultural Park of Favara, an outdoor art gallery that winds through alleys and courtyards of the country and that, especially in summer, hosts artistic and cultural events.
If you want to change areas, you can head west and visit the archaeological sites of Selinunte and Segesta, the first near the sea and the second in the hinterland of Trapani, and the Cusa quarries, characterized by banks of calcarenite from which the material for selinuntine constructions was extracted. And then Trapani and Marsala, with the beautiful salt pans and the remains of Mozia, the ancient Phoenician city that stood on the island of San Pantaleo, in the Stagnone di Marsala. Walking along the coast, you can admire the spectacle of the Egadi islands placed on the edge of the horizon. After Erice, the beautiful medieval village perched on top of a mountain and overlooking the sea, you can quickly reach the Gulf of Castellammare, a vast area where you can visit the magnificent natural reserve of Zingaro, Scopello, Castellammare del Golfo and San Vito the Chief.
A hundred kilometers from Sciacca to the north, one cannot fail to visit Palermo, a city whose charm increases year by year and which generally offers interesting cultural events.
Many more are the places to visit around Sciacca, and it will be a pleasure to provide further information to our guests.
