Great central location with very helpful staff

We had an early check in free of charge. Central location just a few minutes walk from cafes, bars, night market and lake. No noise disturbance from traffic. Staff very helpful. Room very clean and good space.

Breakfast was ok but if you want variety or have dietary requirements then maybe get breakfast outside.

What is the most I like about Starhill : The friendly and welcoming smile from the owner, Mrs. Lien. The team at front desk is open 24/24, staff gave me advices for activities and making sure that I could enjoy the good stay during the long holiday weekend of 30/4 which is the busiest time in Viet Nam. The room is nice, with clean sheets and towels. There is elevator to get to the balcony where I can see the view of Dalat city, The location is perfect for walking around the market and for the abundance of restaurants choice. The staff is helping me in finding excursions and tours. The breakfast is included and I enjoyed the variety of food choices. Mr. Hieu is very kind and knowledgeable. Everyone at the lobby is very polite and relaxed atmosphere. I will come back in next October. Tuan Nguyen from Canada.

good location, poor cleanliness, wouldn’t stay again and would only recommend if there are no other available hostel spo

good location staff seemed helpful but I didn’t need to ask them for much the food they gave at breakfast was okay

dorm was in the cellar they had damp in the bathroom found a dead cockroach under my bed on my last night breakfast ended a bit too early for me so i was unable to wake up in time for 2 times

Reasonable price for a basic room and breakfast.

The hotel had a reasonable location - it was close to markets and some restaurants, as well as the lakeside. As for all hotels in the area, bus stations for the major companies are a taxi ride away. Sheets and towels were clean. The room had tea and coffee making facilities, fridge, space for bags and clothes and sockets near the bed. The WiFi was very good.

Given the price, the hotel offers reasonable value for money, though there are some things that are expected whatever the price. Some staff were not that welcoming, and even an little intimidating, on arrival and during breakfast. We were expected to provide or visa for scrutiny, which has not been necessary anywhere else. Cleaning standards in the room were adequate, but no more: for example, hairs next to the bed, dirty information brochure. The same can be said for the breakfast room, which could have been a little tidier. The bathroom was better. The pillow would benefit from a pillow protector Breakfast was quite limited, which would be no problem given the price, but there was not enough fruit and if you got there late there was not much to choose from. It would be better to have a fruit bowl prepared for each guest.

good location, overpriced for not-private basement dorm

central location near restaurants, rentals, and sites

not good value for what you pay. dorms are in a basement next to cleaning closet so cleaning staff hangout there as you try to sleep in. not much privacy or comfort. breakfast served for a very limited time early in the morning. staff has limited English proficiency.

It is difficult to find! Look out for the Tulip hotel , it's on the same side of the road but two doors down and you need to look inside to see the sign for the property. It's doesn't have a sticking out sign like the Tulip Breakfast was average.

Great location. Right in the centre.

The bathroom was really hard to get into as the sink was right in front of the door! The room felt a little damp.

We got an early check in. The rooms were clean. The hotel booked us bus tickets to Mui Ne at a lower price than the tourist agencies in the city. We were served breakfast early so we could catch the bus.

The buffet is simple but meet my expectation considering the room price (inclusive of breakfast) however the hotel is not providing buffet everyday. The staffs are very helpful except some of them are not too conversant in English, anyway we overcome by using google translate. airport bus stop at the market within walking distance from the hotel. inform the bus driver the hotel name. they helped to purchase limo van ticket to Nha Trang also has scooter rental service.

It will be better if the light at the corridor can be switched on everyday.

Great location but just ok.

Excellent position right in the centre of town & close to market, cafes etc. A few English language channels on TV which was great.

It was quite noisy, if you are a light sleeper you will need earplugs. Breakfast was just OK, we had it included but after the first couple of days we chose to go out & pay elsewhere.

Central location. walking distance to market and night market.

The first room I booked was in the basement with no separate shower/toilet which was my mistake. The shower water was brown at first use which is unacceptable. I decided to pay extra for a different room and the new room is normal. First day breakfast was buffet style and good but not enough food. My family went to breakfast 15 minutes after it started and there was barely any food left. Second day breakfast was made to order because there are not enough people staying at the hotel for a buffet. Food was good, portion was ok. A little small for westerner' appetite but it is what it is. Had a little hiccup at check out. I thought booking.com already charged me so I was debating with desk clerk it was already paid but he right, it was not pre-paid. He was very professional and patience with me. However, he claimed their card machine did not work and I had to pay a big chunk in cash that I usually do not carry which is another unacceptable aspect for a hotel business. Especially since it was advertised you can pay in card. I think they didn't want to pay for the card service charge not that the machine wasn't working. Overall, with so many options in the city, I personally would not be coming back here, and I cannot recommend it to others.

Older basic hotel but worth a stay.

Great location, wonderful staff. I tore my dress on the bus and the lovely lady at reception repaired it for me ..by hand...and you can barely see where it was. Close to town and markets, great food near by. All tour tickets and bus transfers can be done at the hotel. WiFi is good. Happy with our stay for the price I paid. Give it a go

Not that I didn't like it, but breakfast is basic as is the hotel, but it's great value and was a comfortable stay. No complaints really.

The host and ladies who cook breakfast are very cute and enthusiastic, I woke up late after serving time, but she still cooked food for me. The location is right in the center, a little walk to the Da Lat market.

Dorm room is in the basement, feel suffocated,, but overall it's worth for the money spent.
