Pleasant

Good location .comfortable and reasonably priced. Within walking distance of my family

Communication prior to arriving was terrible as even though I had paid and it was confirmed I still wasnt sure whether I had anywhere to stay as no one would reply to my messages and then I was sent the wrong information . I then had to prove that I had paid with a copy of my bank transfer. This was happening prior to my flight from Rockhampton to Melbourne, and the result from when my son went to check in and get the key due to my proposed late arrival. It was extremely stressful. Initially, a lot of appliances were not working, and it was difficult to communicate with the hosts through booking.com as I wasn't receiving any replies and the phone number was uncontactable. Eventually, I was able to contact them personally and sort things out .so that when other problems arose, I was able to contact them straight away at the main residence, and repairs were attended promptly

House comfrotable and cozy. Nice and quiet suburb. Have parks to go for a walk and coles only 20 min walk.

Could be worse, but could be alot better.

Reasonable rate (but not worth more due to faults listed below); comfortable bed; pleasant neighbourhood location that would be very quiet but spoiled by upstairs tenants during this stay; carport parking.

Unfortunately kept awake and/or disturbed sleep for most of this stay (my second visit) due to excessive noise from upstairs tenants during the night. Other ongoing concerns: small fridge, tiny freezer compartment without door; no window covering in bathroom; old vertical blinds in poor condition that don't work on other windows; unpleasant location of sewage and drain pipes (from upstairs) in the kitchen; dangerously slippery tiles and mould in shower recess; no exhaust fan in toilet/shower; loose power point potentially hazardous; open gully trap space in kitchen allows access of rats (rat droppings throughout kitchen and bathroom floors occurred on two nights), but at least able to close off kitchen from living area/bedrooms. Also disappointed that host did not answer my text enquiry for an extended stay, even though dates were showing online as available. I hope the hosts will consider this review as constructive feedback.
