Neat accomodation, good base for hikes

Central location in Zegama, perfect as a starting point for hikes in the Aizkorri-Aratz natural park. Spacious and clean room. Quiet at night, perfect to relax. The lady running the bar really went out of her way to provide a warm meal for us while she had to serve drinks to other guests in the bar in parallel - we were really grateful for her efforts!

The photos show a dining room, but at the time of our stay (early season) the restaurant was not open (however, the bar was open, and on request, it was possible to have dinner there). Breakfast was only available from 10 AM, but for early birds the bar across the street offers another option.

Lovely place in many interesting and different ways...

This was an interesting place to stay. The staff were lovely and the room was fine. The location looking over the terrace and towards the square was both heaven and hell. It seemed wonderful at first sight, but...

The view over the terrace and towards the square meant that there was a lot of chattering going on immediately outside our window until about 5 in the morning, so sleep was not too easy. This was on a Saturday when the entire village was out and about, so this may not be the case on other days of the week. Otherwise, lovely.

Disappointing

Location

Extremely noisy as bedroom was above the bar and a group of noisy customers kept us awake until 04:00. Very loud. When we got up after finally having 3 hours sleep there was no staff to be found and no breakfast. Everything was locked up. Very disappointing.

Great place along the Camino

This was a basic comfortable pension. It was clean and well located on the Camino Vasco del interior which we were walking. The staff was helpful.

they do not speak much English and we did not speak much Spanish so we had a hard tim communicating about meals. in the end it worked out and the food was delicious.
