Die Möglichkeit, Spa und Bar im benachbarten Schwesterhotel zu nutzen. Auswahl und Abwechslung des Frühstücks. Zimmerwunsch wurde berücksichtigt. Lage direkt am Meer. Deutsche Sprachkenntnisse des Personals.
Nutzer des öffentlich zugänglichen Fitnessstudios haben sich auch im Hotel aufgehalten.

Great choice for a couple
Great location for max 3 days if you don’t rent a car. Lots of food options around the hotel to supplement the terrific free buffet breakfast.
Very clean and well equipped. Bathrooms could use ventilation. February was a good choice as the hotel appeared less than full

Muita coisa! Primeiramente o ginasio e piscina do hotel é utilizado por pessoas de fora do hotel, fazendo com que os hóspedes do hotel tenham que ligar para saber se podem utilizar a piscina e jacuzi porque pode estar a haver aulas. O acesso a piscina e jacuzi temos que passar pelo ginasio e passar por tantas pessoas, nao ha privacidade! Resumidamente dão mais prioridade as pessoas de fora do que aos hóspedes. Não é um hotel muito preocupado em acolher bem os hóspedes. Pior hotel em que ja estive!

Das Beste an dem Hotel war die Tatsache, dass man das andere Hotel mit Spa - Bereich mitbenutzen durfte. Das Frühstück war gut. Die Betten waren sehr bequem. Die Ruhe in und um das Hotel war hervorragend.
Die Aussenanlage mit Pool lud nicht zum schwimmen ein und war auch sonst nicht besonders schön. Das Fitness-Studio war nicht besonders ansprechend weil man immer einen Mitarbeiter brauchte um rein zu kommen. Die Sauna im Keller war abgeschlossen und konnte nur mit Reservierung benutzt werden. Das Restaurant musste auch vorher gebucht werden und war daher eher unspontan. Der Preis für das Buffet war unseres Erachtens zu teuer (fast 30,-€ pro Person ohne Getränke).

Everything was perfect! The staff has high standards of customer centricity, everyone is helpful, nice and doing their utmost to meet the customers expectations. All of our questions and requests were answered and handled immediately with a smile on their face, thank you for that!
Thr breakfast is amazing, big variety on the bufet and diversity from day to day.
Location is quiet with rooms with sea view, amazing view. Indoor pool, sauna, jacuzzi, indoor squash field, gym, outdoor pool.
We definetely recommend it and for sure we will come back!
The parking can be difficult during full-season time, we didn't had any issues though, could find a parking place nearby every day.

Das Hotel hat eine wunderbare Lage. Besonders das Frühstück ist wirklich sehr gut und die Zimmer sind sehr gut eingerichtet. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Restaurant Atlantis ist wirklich sehr zu empfehlen! Die Reinigung des Zimmers war sehr gut. Das Lido zum Baden ist einfach perfekt und auch sehr gepflegt. Die Sitzmöglichkeiten auf den verschiedenen Terrassen sind auch sehr schön und man findet immer einen tollen Platz in der Sonne. Alle Mitarbeitenden sind sehr hilfsbereit und bemühen sich dass sich alle wohlfühlen.
Das Buffet am Abend haben wir nur einmal genutzt, 27,50 Euro ist wirklich überteuert wenn man die lokalen Preise betrachtet.
Wir hätten uns eine Info gewünscht zu folgenden Themen: Ausfall Heizung und Warmwasser aufgrund des Wetters z.B. über das Infoportal im TV. Technische Schwierigkeiten kann es immer geben, allerdings wäre eine Info an die Gäste wichtig. Wir mussten immer erst nachfragen.
Ich hatte ein Zimmer mit Meerblick gebucht, der Meerblick war eher seitlich was nicht so schlimm war. Ich fände eine transparente Auswahl bei der Buchung wichtig. Die verschiedenen Gebäudeteile sind sehr unterschiedlich. Wir hatten das nicht angesprochen, da das Zimmer trotzdem schön war und für uns ok.

Hotel is newer compared to hotels in Funchal.
This hotel is very remote with limited access of places to dine or eat. You are otherwise limited to dining at the hotel’s restaurant every night. If you are not renting a car, you will either use bus or order taxi to get around Canico. Most of tours meeting place is around Funchal which is 25 mins away from the hotel which can be inconvenient.
However, if you are looking to stay at a hotel away from hustle and bustle and are looking for relaxation, Sentido Galasol may be a place for you. They do have an in house spa.

Great facilities - especially the spa and the gym (you can even follow sport lessons there), location is beautiful right at the sea.
The opening hours of the spa could be longer into the evening. But definitely not a major issue. We had a great time!

we loved our stay at Sentido. Everything was great, the room was large and comfy, the breakfast was unbelievable, it has many options very fresh and very tasty. We went to the gym, took some classes even, were swimming in the indoor pool since it was winter and it was too windy for the one outside. Everything was perfect, clean, comfortable, the staff was super friendly, helpful. We loved everything here, we'll be back
wifi in the room was not working well. Too bad since it would be a great place to do remote work. but you can go to common areas and connection there is good and fast

Schöne überschaubare Anlage, tolle Lage am Meer, viele Freizeitmöglichkeiten auch bei Regen/Schlechtwetter indoor. Ökologisch top - Haustier ist zb ein kleiner Falke, der die Tauben beim Frühstück abschreckt… Essen, Getränke alles prima .

As instalações do hotel são todas novas. Vimos que passou por uma renovação de pintura, piso, móveis. Quando entramos no quarto sentimos cheiro de quarto novo.
O serviço dos funcionários são excelentes. Sempre prestativos e falam o idioma local (português), bem como inglês, dutch e outros. Comunicação não será um problema. A limpeza e o capricho do lugar é ímpar!
O café da manhã é variado, e ainda podes usufruir de uma vista do nascer do sol encantador!
As piscinas são ótimas e nunca estão cheias.
O Spa é perfeito para relaxar antes de deixar o hotel. Tens sauna escandinava e banho turco.
Altamente recomendável.

Tolles Hotel Direkt am Meer. Moderne Zimmer und ein Wahnsinns Ausblick übers Meer. Gutes Frühstücksangebot. Busverbindung an der Hauptstraße, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und kleine Restaurants in direkter Umgebung.
Die renovierten Zimmer haben ein sehr modernes Bad welches eine offene Dusche hat. Leider ist der Abfluss der Dusche nicht richtig verbaut und omit stand nach dem duschen das halbe Bad unter Wasser.

Recht frisch renovierte Zimmer, schöner Blick direkt aufs Meer, das Frühstück lässt fast keine Wünsche offen, sehr freundliches Personal, sehr sauber!, gut ausgestattetes vollwertiges Fitnessstudio, schöne Innen- und Aussenpools, Whirlpool neben den Innenpool, schöne Sauna. Schöner Liegenereich am Felsenstrand (echter Strand ist äußerst rar auf Madeira) , tolle Strandbar und hervorragendes Strandrestaurant „Atlantis“. Das Schwesterhotel Galomar direkt neben unserem Hotel ist nur für Erwachsene und daher noch ruhiger.
Das 4-Sterne Hotel macht fast alles richtig, dennoch würde der 4. Stern mit Bademänteln auch in den „Standard“ Doppelzimmern (180 Euro pro Nacht inkl. Kurtaxe) sowie einem vernünftigen Kaffee zum Frühstück(die Portugiesen haben vorzügliche Kaffeespezialitäten) mehr glänzen. Die saftige Preiserhöhung von 90! % seit Weihnachten 2016 hat mich überrascht, damals gab es das exakt gleiche Zimmer, das damals ebenfalls renoviert war , für 95 Euro! Das ist mal echte Inflation! Da komme ich mit dem Geldverdienen kaum hinterher ;-)

The room was spacious, recently renovated, clean and nicely decorated. We also enjoyed the balcony with the sea view.
The facilities were not great: a relatively small outdoor pool which was not heated, and a small indoor pool. The location was not great, it’s quite isolated, you need to take a car to go to funchal and Canico itself is far from exciting. The breakfast was ok, but the coffee was really bad. The hotel mostly attracts elderly German tourists. Overall it’s a decent hotel, but very expensive for what it is. I would not go back.

Szilvesztert töltöttük itt. Csodálatos helyen található a hotel a kilátás lenyűgöző. A szolgáltatások kiválóak a személyzet kedves. A Szilveszteri Gàla vacsoràra érdemes befizetni, felejthetetlen volt. A jól megszervezett program ès az ètelek is finomak voltak. A buszmegálló( Funchalba) a hoteltől egy percnyire talàlható.

A simpatia dos empregados
Apesar de ser um alojamento totalmente remodelado existiram alguns problemas no serviço prestado, nomeadamente ausência de produtos higiene (touca, creme cabelo,agulha e linha…), no pequeno almoço , que era bom e bem apresentado não houve capacidade de reposição .
O estacionamento na área é reduzido
