A living, breathing Chateau with pleasant surprises.

The breakfast was well served and just right. Fruit e.g melon fresh apple juice croissants and baguettes with cheese, tea and coffee. Hospitality was friendly and courteous and well informed and put us at ease. Information concerning any number of matters was always available. The quiet hour was maintained. Views are magnificent and grounds excellent to stroll in.Room spacious, bathroom too. The ground floor is beautifully furnished and a perfect space for relaxing. La Fontaine is small but has an interesting shrine to St Martin. Places to visit such as Chateau le Tude not far away and roads are quiet.We tended not to use restaurants only lunch in Bistros.Our host Eric on horseback was a sight to behold.

It is impossible to identify anything which could be improved upon since even the weather came good during our stay.

!! A wonderful castle with incredible surroundings. During your stay in it, you really feel aristocratic. Silence and beautiful nature. a delicious breakfast is served at the royal table. Excellent !!! WE RECOMMEND THIS TO ALL OF YOU !!

Beautiful chateau and grounds

Mirrors in bedroom badly cleaned leaving smears Toilet and shower poor Poor reception -shown to our room then abandoned would have liked to be informed breakfast times and location for breakfast,WiFi information . Would have liked to have asked information on restaurants nearby Overall disappointed

A beautiful house with no means to get a drink for 23hrs per day.

The property is beautiful, beautifully furnished and very clean. The views of the lake are lovely and the use of the rowing boat was fun. The two black swans followed us around the lake.

We arrived in a heatwave and couldn’t get a drink, not even a glass of water! No glasses were made available. We arrived with tea and coffee but there wasn’t a kettle available for use. You have to provide all food and drink, including cups and water from breakfast time until breakfast the next day. We had travelled 6hrs to the Château and had to them travel 20mins to supermarket to get a picnic set and drinks. In temperatures of 39c not supplying even water to drink seems unbelievable. The owner, who another guest told us was absent, was very keen to remind us this isn’t a hotel via text. A holiday home, as this is advertised usually comes equipped for preparing food and drink, this is literally a beautiful house and a very average breakfast, nothing else. Come prepared with crockery, cutlery, water, drinks, kettle and food. We asked for a fan as the listing said these were available but we didn’t receive one. There was no TV or Wi-Fi in our room.

Breakfast was freshly made every day. Generous portions, lots of variety, pre-arranged time, beautiful breakfast room

WiFi was patchy but functional, but understand that it’s a large historic house in semi-rural location, so tricky to provide high speed internet

A fine place to pass few days ,if you can overpass that maintenance is almost inexistant

Fine and sophisticate property ,friendly check in ,very quite almost serene ,beautiful gardens ,decoration of common places with high class touches .A dream place

Unfortunately almost dirty and that’s for the whole place ,room was juste with average clean at the bathroom ,the bedroom was obviously not clean for a long time .

Exceptional breakfast with homemade cake. Amazing property grounds with animals. The castle itself is well furnished with antiques, it truly feels like living the life of a Marquis!

The wooden floors were a little noisy, but aside from that everything was great!

Exceptional peace and quiet a true family chateau experience.

Breakfast was absolutely stunning, truly a breakfast fit for a chateau! The grounds are extensive and make a lovely pre dinner walk.

The town has no bar or restaurant, it is a missed opportunity not to offer a glass of wine on arrival - it would have made a great stay superb. I would stay again, but bring a tipple with you. You will need to book a restaurant in town, the chateau booked one for us which was very good.

Beautiful authentic Château. Amazing scenery. Romantic place.

Beautiful and authentic Château. I can’t fault the beauty of the place and scenery. Also very friendly staff. Feeling of being welcomed in someone home.

Only thing is no possibly of having dinner, but the lovely town of La Flèche is 10 mins drive.

Spectacular!

The property is stunning! So much character, grounds are well maintained, we had a room upgrade, the breakfast was out of this world.. I could go on all day about it’s amazingness.. Go try it for yourself. Special mention to joey, she made our stay extra special.. nothing Was too much trouble x

The reception we received from our most charming host was so welcoming. Nothing was to much trouble, we had a wonderful stay our bedroom was fit for a King. Breakfast was great in such a beautiful Chateau
