Heel fijn adres voor een paar dagen Canterbury, vooral als je goed te voet vooruit kunt.

Een mooie tuin met diverse zitjes, heerlijk. Parking gratis en in schaduw.

Geen lift. De kamer nogal warm.

Great. Loved the space. Must make the floors above more sound proof.

Huge apartment and loved how it was decorated. So many mirrors so as a trio of ladies no one had to wait to get in front of one. Location was excellent - just 20 min walk to the centre.

1) A sewer-y smell in the bathroom 2) Garbage didn't have a lid so got a bit stinky by the second day 3) People walking upstairs can be clearly heard in the bedroom so we were woken by 6 am every morning. This was the worst issue tbh. 4) Couldn't find cutlery which was well hidden in a secret drawer within a larger drawer. Easy fix - just put a label on it so people know.

Hôtel de charme proche du centre touristique

L'hôtel a du caractère et une décoration très anglaise non standardisée bien agréable. Une des chambres avait un lit à baldaquin, très romantique, et l'autre était très grande pour 4 adultes. Lits très confortables et petit déjeuner avec beaucoup de choix. Nous sommes arrivés assez tard et cela n'a posé aucun problème. Certains d'entre nous repartaient très tôt et ont pu quand même prendre un petit déjeuner. A 20mn à pied du centre de Canterbury et nous avons préféré laisser la voiture au parking de l'hôtel.

As an asthmatic the privet hedging did affect me but that really is not a negative on the hotel

Good quality hotel in convenient location

Location OK. Liked the building, car park, breakfast. Room OK. Felt safe - important fir woman travelling alone. Nice garden.

Usual thing with single rooms - little space. No table lamp. No glass or cup for use in bathroom. No blind in bathroom.

I was looking for a comfortable pretty space for an impromptu stay and this more than delivered.

The staff were outstanding. The reception welcome was friendly and efficient. Housekeeping were really helpful.

Fantastic hotel just outside the centre

Located a short walk away from the city centre, this hotel is brilliant value for money. We had a nice, clean, large room with a comfortable bed. The staff was very friendly - from reception to the cleaners - and the breakfast was lush as well.

The only downside was the water pressure being virtually non-existent. I suppose this is down to it being an old building. The much-awaited shower at the end of the day was but a trickle.

Erholsame Nacht in Canterbury

Das Hotel liegt nahe am Zentrum, ist aber trotzdem ruhig und hat einen schönen Park. Das Personal war durchgehend freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet, die Atmosphäre ist sehr britisch.

Very enjoyable and would definitely return

Ideally located for watching cricket as Kent Canterbury ground a 10 stroll away. Excellent parking and a very good full English breakfast. Canterbury centre 20 minutes away so easy for evening meal, plus of course the cathedral.

No lift so could be problematic if you have mobility issues.

Lovely setting and brilliant staff. Carpets need shampooing more often.

The staff were very accommodating. The building and setting was beautiful.

The carpets were filthy and the corners of the bathroom have dust and dirt build up. I think the cleaners work very hard and need to be given more time to do there job properly. The cleaners need to be given time to shampoo the carpets at least once every two weeks. The bathroom needs a deep clean.

Komfortabler Aufenthalt mit Hunden in einem stilvollen Gebäude.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war lecker und bot ein große Auswahl. Das Hotel ist durch das Alter des Gebäudes sehr charmant. Der Garten ist groß und bietet zahlreiche Sitzmöglichkeiten.

Es gibt leider nur einen Frühstückstisch, an dem man mit Hunden sitzen kann.

Bon emplacement, mobilier et propreté à revoir

Le logement est très bien placé. L'environnement extérieur de l'hôtel est agréable. Il est facile de se garer devant l'hôtel. Le centre ville est facilement accessible à pied. Le logement est spacieux et les lits étaient confortables. Il y a des commerces à proximité ce qui est pratique pour faire quelques courses.

Le logement est sombre. Le ménage laisse à désirer (sol peu propre, crotte de mouettes collées sur les fenêtres, miettes sur les chaises à notre arrivée). Pas de balai à disposition, uniquement un aspirateur qui ne sentait pas très bon à disposition. Le mobilier dans le salon n'était pas confortable (mousse du canapé toute enfoncée). La vaisselle est disponible en petite quantité (4 cuillères pour un logement quatre personnes). La vaisselle était un peu limite (assiette ébréchées, casseroles très usées avec le téflon parti). Il aurait été appréciable que le personnel de l'accueil nous indique que nous avions accès au jardin de l'hôtel.

Excellent séjour dans une ambiance vieille angleterre 😊

Super acceuil bienveillant et bons conseils. Petit dej très varié. Vieille demeure anglaise avec tout son charme. Très calme. Nous n'avons pas pu profiter du superbe jardin, il pleuvait 😔

Great location but not as comfortable as usual.

The location is fantastic and the gardens are beautiful.

The beds were extremely uncomfortable. We have stayed here about 5 times and they were not good this time round. There was also mushrooms growing in the bathroom and the new sofa was not comfortable. The price has increased but the facilities haven’t.

Return visit to the hotel, will visit again.

Location good. Didn't have breakfast. 2nd stay at The Ebury as the first visit was good.

The dishwasher hadn't been emptied. 3/4 of the bulbs in the lounge didn't work. The tv ariel socket in the lounge looks like it needs securing. The extractor fan in the bathroom doesn't work, causing black mould-type marks on the ceiling.

Great way to to start an UK adventure with the perfect english experience!

The rooms were very spacious(living, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen), clean linens, clean bathroom and kitchen. We enjoyed the full kitchen facilities. Very comfortable beds, quiet and relaxing area.

Highly recommend

Location was perfect for us to continue out trip to Dover the next day. Easy 20 minute walk into town. Staff very helpful and friendly. Decor and standard of cleanliness excellent. Would certainly stay there again and highly recommend.

The hotel is well connected to all attractions in Canterbury. Me and my dog had a great stay.

Lucky with the weather, I arrived with a backpack and a small dog a few mins before check in. It was easy to access the room located on the first floor inside the main building. Excellent room with the greatest view out to the well maintained garden. What a scenario! Interior amazingly decorated, with hand carved wood details on furniture, big bathroom with a bathtub and a shower turn off the radiator. City center within easy walking distance. Private key to room. I had a great nights sleep and woke up by dawn. I prepared a cup of hot coffee in the room with the provided electric water kettle and instant coffee. Breakfast was served voluntarily by the bar, as I wanted to bring my dog with me. Most of the visitors had brought their furry little friend with them. There was a queue in the kitchen and the breakfast was too late. However I had a simple outdoor breakfast on the stairs of Kent's engine house and Canterbury theatre, watching the guided tours passing by. Canterbury West station is easily reached by foot from city center.

What a great place, there is no dislikes.

I enjoyed my stay, as usual

I have stayed at Ewbury 3-4 times and I have 2 further stays booked. I really enjoy staying here. It is very clean, lovely choice for breakfast. The staff are very friendly and helpful
