2 night break

We only stayed 2 night's. Reception were very welcoming, and very helpful. Staff in the restaurant on 13th could not fault them at all. Food was really good. Staff on the morning were very helpful. Would stay there again.

Barking dog !!!

Great room service - quick response, friendly staff. Good variety for breakfast and staff friendly and welcoming. Easy parking and great location for access to Barnsley town centre. Why are non assistance dogs allowed allowed in hotel?

Brusque approach of one member of reception staff. All other staff excellent. This is not a 4 star hotel as rooms are in need of refurbishment especially ensuite.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay in Holiday Inn, Barnsley.

It was comfortable, clean, food was good & people very friendly. Well located.

Nothing, would certainly stay again if ever in that area again.

I booked two rooms many weeks ago. I was given two rooms at the very back of the hotel there was absolutely no view from the windows the window was broken an unable to close the hair dryer only worked when red hot or not at all there were no batteries in the remote tv control the bed mattresses clearly were very old and uncomfortable I was told they were fully booked and unable to give me an alternative. This is not what I expect from a hotel that you recommend and will certainly think twice before booking with you again

Change the barman to a more friendlier professional. IHG is a professional company and would re train the barman or get

Very good clean and presentable. Reception staff nice and welcoming and friendly. Professional

The bad point - the barman was rude and not at all professional. No welcome and no conversation. Just stood there with no hello and stating “what do you want” didn’t look happy in his job and gave a bad impression

Nice pobby and good size room

Rusty bath, dirty mirrors and hair in bath. Wasn't particularly clean. Breakfast was expensive and not good quality. Dry as had been left out too long. Broken kettle that I reported which I would have thought were regularly checked. Only stayed for a night so it was ok for a bed after a night out but wouldn't stay for longer than that

Staff very friendly

Room was very noisy , extractor fan from the kitchen close to the room kept us awake . Blakes bar - food very poor for the price . One of curtains in Room hanging ( broken ) . Place in need of refurbishment

clean and friendly staff

bed slopped inwards, no sound proofing so could hear radio from next room- all speech. it was expensive for this level of room. chair in room cracked leather.
