We really enjoyed our stay at Tree Tops. Annette and Fred were super hosts, really responsive when we had questions about the area and helped to quickly remedy the few small things that were not quite right (e.g. missing grill tools). The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed walking on the nearby trails. Thanks Annette and Fred!

From arrival the landscape out front was beautiful. There is a no-shoes rule and they provided slippers for guest use. The master suite is definitely the star of the home, gorgeous tub and shower. The view from the deck was amazing. It was smaller than it appeared from the photos, only seating for 4 we had a group of 6. The downstairs bedrooms are small but comfortable. Would have preferred to know the second queen bed was actually a pull out couch/bed. Overall the space fit our needs and was beautiful.

This house is beautiful. Three levels with calming views of a woodland area. We came for the Thanksgiving week and found the kitchen, and entire house, exceedingly well stocked with the little things travelers need. Three flashlights came in handy during a storm and power outage on the last night. I would highly recommend the property.

We found this home to be peacefully quiet and comfortably restorative, just what we were looking for after our busy days of sight-seeing. It is very well equipped with all the conveniences of home, as well as all instructions for operating the facilities were clear and thoroughly provided. The owners were helpful and easy to communicate with throughout. We appreciated this home’s cleanliness and organization, and the views are spectacular. We highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a peaceful, restorative retreat in Half Moon Bay.

My friends and I loved staying here for my bday. This is one the cleanest houses I’ve stayed at on Vrbo/Airbnb, not to mention beautiful and serene. Annette was great with communication, and happily accommodated my requests for alternative checkin/out times. The master bedroom is beautiful, with a comfortable king bed. The hot tub is a nice extra. FYI, if you plan on getting around with a lyft/uber know that it may take up to 20 mins to get one. I would highly recommend this house and would consider staying again!

Traveling from the flat lands of the Midwest to Half Moon Bay, California, could not have been filled with better surprises than we encountered on our trip. Days were busy exploring but it was such a pleasure to come back to suck a beautiful home. Clean, perfectly maintained, room home with fantastic views and amenities.

Our stay at the Tree Top home was very enjoyable. It had all the amenities that one would need or want. The no shoes in the house policy is a major reason the house was so clean. The security check-in procedure was very smooth and easy. The fireplaces added warmth and ambiance.

We are frequent VRBO renters and found this home to be exceptionally well stocked with every possible creature comfort you would crave to thoroughly enjoy your stay including slippers, robes, cozy blankets to curl up with by the fire (inside or outside, coffee pantry supplies, and plenty of linens, towels etc. That make your feel like you are home. We rented this home over the Christmas week, with our 3 adult children so we could spend time in HMB with our family that also stay in the area for the holidays. The neighborhood is quiet and convenient to downtown HMB, and the owners were a pleasure to interact with (via text message) and even went out of their way to mail us our daughters makeup/jewelry bag accidentally left behind. So nice! A few minor issues were: The neighbors were not very friendly and seemed to give us uncomfortable stares as we came and went over the week. Also there were a few oddities we found that you should be aware of when staying here. The owners want all shoes removed at the front entry due to their recent installment of new hardwood floors and carpets. In general this is understandable since they are trying to preserve their flooring, but may not be realistic or easy to comply with if this is not your normal habit at home. Also the owners have a small apartment onsite under the main home, and could be staying there while you are renting the main house which also may not be as comfortable if you are looking for privacy. They were not there during our rental week, so no issues for us. I Think they live in the main house when it isn’t rented, based on their personal items, pictures, being displayed throughout the home. This also shows in the very high end furnishings and cooking and dining items, which are all top of the line (a plus for us since we love to cook). The only feedback I would give is that they have a home office setup at the bottom of the stairs that you have to walk through to access the 2 guest bedrooms and guest bath on the lower floor which was obviously being used with papers everywhere. I work from home too, but would not want renters walking through my office and potentially rifling through my personal paperwork. Seems like they could put papers away and shift the layout to use the space better? Also, the guest room with Murphy bed is quite hard to sleep on. Perhaps a Feather/memory foam topper could be added? The master suite is awesome and the forest backdrop was so serene We loved our stay!!!

This is a clean and charming home nestled in the trees. We enjoyed our stay.

The property is well-maintained. The home is clean, with lots of windows and natural light. It's comfortably furnished without being overdone, with ample closet and drawer space, as well as open counter tops and surfaces for your stuff. The kitchen set up is wonderful; something we appreciate since we like to cook. It had all the equipment, utensils, and dishes we needed...and knives that were sharp. The deck off the dining room was perfect. We especially liked the "no shoes in the house" rule since we're from Hawaii and like the fact that floors and carpets were very clean so we could walk barefooted inside. The homeowners had thoughtfully left a basket of disposable house slippers for our use--a nice touch! We also really liked the electronic lock so we didn't need to fuss with a key.

Such a beautiful and family friendly property. The kitchen is remarkable with fabulous cooking components!!! All of the helpful touches, I.e., charging stations and charging chords. We all loved the accommodations!!!!!!

Gorgeous home in the hills above Half Moon Bay, everything top of the line. It felt like a brand new home and they spared no expense making it comfortable. Very quiet and peaceful, perfect for a couple or family. Great kitchen and open concept for gathering or lounging on one of their two super comfy couches to relax and read a book. We especially liked the hot tub on the deck overlooking the eucalyptus trees. Once you arrive you won't want to leave, but if you have to, groceries, restaurants and nightlife are a short distance down the hill. Both the owners were VERY nice and super helpful. We know we'll be back for sure.

What a beautiful home in a beautiful setting. I spent the weekend here with my daughters and granddaughters as we celebrated and prepared for my daughters beach wedding in Pacifica. The kitchen was a delight for my culinary trained daughter, the dining room was a delightful place for an evening before the wedding dinner for the small wedding party and of course we all enjoyed the hot Tub. The amenities are all high end and the little notes around the kitchen were both helpful and a little amusing to us. My only regret was not having an additional night in this beautiful setting

Nowhere in the property description does it say that the owners are in the building. It made us uncomfortable for the whole stay (8 days). We would not have rented if we had known this. Otherwise, the house was impeccably clean. The kitchen was well equipped. We cooked all our meals there. It was just my husband and I.

Our family celebrated Christmas at this lovely home. The owner put up a beautiful tree for us, the dining table comfortably seated everyone and the living area was perfect. This home was like a seven-star hotel with top-of-the-line linens, bedding and bathrobes. The hot tub was always occupied and a highlight along with the view!

We were in need of a nice home to gather with our adult children for the holiday. We enjoyed the cozy setting and wonderful kitchen. Cooking together is an important part of our family joy and this kitchen was fully stocked with fantastic appliances to work with. Our family was thrilled to relax in the hot tub, play games on a nice big table and take a short drive as well into town. We are thankful for the owner's who graciously left their contact info and assistance when/if needed. We hope to come again!

I recently spent two nights with a couple friends, and had a great stay. The house is modern and well kept, with very nice amenities. The living space consists of a large upstairs master with gas fireplace, a lower floor with two bedrooms (one with a murphy bed), and a spacious living area in between on the middle floor: with a living room, dining room, lounge area, and kitchen. There is good wireless internet available throughout the house, and the entertainment system (complete with Apple TV) is well labeled and easy to use. The location is just 5 minutes by car from Highway 1, situated in a quiet neighborhood overlooking a grove of eucalyptus trees. We are grateful for the stay and our gracious hosts, and will consider coming again!

My family and I went up to enjoy my daughter's birthday weekend. We all enjoyed the home and would definitely go back and stay there again!

This property was truly spectacular. A beautifully maintained home, the owners made sure they thought of every comfort and convenience their guests might need. Spacious rooms, gourmet kitchen (fully stocked with every gadget/appliance you could possibly need) and formal dining rooms are just some of the many quality features. The hot tub off the lower level deck is a must and what a serene setting! There are several good restaurants nearby as well as grocery stores and hiking trails. I would highly recommend this property.

The home was a wonderful and peaceful retreat for our family of four. The house is beautiful with all the amenities one would need. We ate in both days we were there so we could enjoy the scenery and watch the sunset between the trees. The hummingbirds buzzed around us while we barbecued our dinner. Annette was very professional and quick to respond to any inquiries. We would definitely recommend this home to our friends who are visiting the Half Moon Bay area.

Five stars to this property all the way! The house is beautiful and has absolutely everything to make it the perfect retreat. The kitchen is so comfortable and well stocked, that I absolutely recommend planning for some home meals (New Leaf supermarket is just down the road and has delicious organic and local produce). Annette is an excellent host, and she was very responsive to all our questions and comments. The view from pretty much everywhere in the house is majestic. We had a very lovely, relaxing weekend with our extended family, including two kids who enjoyed the multiple board games and the several movie options very much. My only comment is to avoid turning the jets on if you are enjoying the hot tub in the evening. We got in the tub on a Friday at 10:30, and the sound of the jets made us speak in slightly raised voices, which caused a very unpleasant exchange with the next door neighbor. I also recommend to lower the privacy screen when you enter the hot tub (it will put an additional barrier to avoid bothering the neighbors and interacting with them). I would absolutely recommend this place for a family retreat, and I can't wait to be back myself!

The Tree Tops retreat was unforgettable. It was just a described. My husband & I had our rehearsal dinner at Seville Tapas, our wedding at Hastings House Garden in Half Moon Bay and our reception at Sam's Chowder House. (All incredible places). We needed a place to relax and unwind that we could call home during this time. The Tree Tops is very near these places yet seems secluded. The house is clean, peaceful and very well kept. Bright sunlight pours in from every room and the view of the surrounding Eucalyptus trees is priceless. The fireplace in the master bedroom and living room keep the house warm and cozy. The kitchen is very well stocked with appliances and we loved cooking breakfast there for our family. The Hot Tub is a priceless addition that I wish we'd had more time to enjoy. The home has very clear & detailed instructions that were easy to read and to access. Annette was wonderful- incredibly quick to respond to our every question and just great to work with. We can't thank you enough for making this magical place available to us for such a special weekend. We highly recommend it! Amy & Ken

The Tree Top Retreat is a fantastic play to get away, and have close access to half Moon Bay activities. My friends and I visited and went on a big day of salmon fishing. The home's kitchen served us very well as we cooked up a salmon for dinner and for breakfast. It is generously stocked with all you'd need for different styles of cooking. The house is well taken care of and gorgeous, with multiple balconies providing beautiful views. I'd highly recommend it.
