Weesp, quite Amsterdam :)

I booked Boerderij Honswijck for my parents as their wedding gift. My parents dont speak english so I was in touch with Irmgard and she was very helpful since beggining. She offered to pick up my parents from the train station and she had also ready two bikes for them. During the stay she also offered to drive my parents to the station due to bad weather and also day of check out. Thank you very much for your hospitality! My parents told me that the house is beautiful and there is everything what you need. Very close is small city Weesp where you can go for shopping or eat. They told me that Weesp is kind of similar to Amsterdam but more quite and with less people. They love the location especially after day spend in Amsterdam. Its easy to go from house to Amsterdam, they had public transport card so the price for public transportation was not so high. Can totally recommend :)

Excellent place to be!

The location is just a kilometer away from the city center of Weesp. There are free bikes available for guests so within less then 10 minutes you can visit Weesp. I booked without breakfast so I cannot judge that.

There is nothing I did not like. It was all good unless you want to be in a more lively environment this is just great.

Exceptional

Irmgard and her husband were wery nice, and did everything to accommodate us. She even picked us up at the train station, and the last day of our stay also drove us there, so we could catch the train to the airport. And they also rented us bikes, so we could drive around ( we borrowed it for free :D ) The house we got was very clean, and beautiful. It had everything you need for relaxing holidays. We also liked the surroundings of the house - you really get to see beautiful rural Dutch landscape and houses, even if it's just 15 minutes ride with train from Amsterdam. Would really recommend Boerderij Honswijck for any couples that want to explore Amsterdam, and then in the evening return back to nice, quiet and relaxing place.

There were spiders and frequent mosquito so could not open windows and sleep . First day net was not working . Rest was good

Exceptional!

The barn conversion is beautiful, with furniture in keeping with the 17th C farmhouse and quality beds & linen, bikes to ride to nearby Weesp (markets every Friday) and Muiderberg’s castle & village. Nico and Irmgard are friendly, welcoming and helpful hosts who answered any questions within minutes. The train station in Weesp takes you directly to Amsterdam Central. We loved our three nights on this fairy farm & would love to return. Highly recommended.

A wonderful stay in a beautiful surroundings

Where do I begin. First of all the host is gracious, very helpful and communication was a breeze. the place is extremely comfortable, equipped with everything I expected and more, it was sparkling clean and set in a beautiful and quiet scenery surrounded by endless green fields and sweet animals. I found it easy to go anywhere I needed using the bicycle provided. I'd definitely come back whenever I'm in the area and I recommend this place to all. Thank you :)

Wonderful authentic little house at the farm just outside Weesp ❤️

Wonderful authentic little house for me alone just outside Weesp (on biking distance) at the premises of a farm, great views on the meadows around, quiet, fantastic bed (slept sóó well), great kitchen, great double (!) shower, superb hosts (bike free of charge, and I was driven to the train station in order to not miss my plane) !

Bathroom towels too small (very common in NL, though :))

cosy country cottage

very cosy and clean place to stay, the host was very friendly and helpful. everything the host promised is what we expected. comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen, quiet location. highly recommended.

Wonderful stay! With wonderful hosts!

Irmgard and her husband is super amazing and we had a wonderful stay! The loving touches in the rooms are super cute and Irmgard really has a special touch with the decoration. The room was super clean and tidy and whenever we needed a change of bedding or towels, Irmgard was there in a flash! I would really recommend Boerderij Honswijck to anyone who wants something out in the country in a cute vintage setup. Thank you Irmgard, for all your help and chats and kindness. We really appreciate it.

highly recommend - will definitely come back again in future

We were living there for more than two weeks. During this time we were working from there, and the Internet connection was perfectly fine, with good speed and no glitches. We were provided with bikes, they are very reliable, and riding them while tripping to Amsterdam was a perfect experience

A peaceful and beautiful farm stay easily accessible from Amsterdam

Boerderij Honswijck is quite close to both Muiden and Weesp. Located on the banks of the vecht river, this is an ideal weekend getaway! We enjoyed the walks and cycling paths around this area. The house is also very spacious and comfortable, with a good kitchen unit.

Superb

Irmgard was so lovely and very welcoming. She picked us up from the station in Weesp and took us back there on our last day, this was such a lovely touch. The farm is very quaint, a perfect and relaxing getaway. They have bikes on the farm which they were kind enough to lower for me as I'm very short. If you're staying here you will need the bikes (included with your booking) or a hire car to get into town as it is a 40-minute walk (only about 10-15 on the bike).

Fantastic Stay!

What a wonderful time I had for 6 nights in this delightful place, where my hosts were very communicative and helpful both before and during my stay. So many beautiful details and attention to ensure a well-cared for experience. The unit was incredibly clean, with homey touches, fruit, flowers and one of the most comfortable beds I have traveled to! There are dairy cows on the farm, which you can see being milked if you like. They offered the loan of a bicycle, so if you are not travelling by car, you can bike into town. You are situated in a lovely stretch of Dutch countryside, where a picturesque walk will show you goats, pigs, sheep and more. I highly recommend staying here if you are ever visiting the village of Weesp.

nothing! The only thing to note are some narrow stairs to the second floor bedroom, so if you have any mobility issues I would recommend choosing the accessible property they have available instead.
