There is a community kitchen, pool. All well maintained and clean The location is great!

The bed I was staying in was situated too high, on the loft like. I hit my head when I woke up. It was hard to get in and out. Other than it was good.

Superb

Amazing amenities including fully stocked hand-built kitchen with gas stove and 2 fridges. It overlooks the clean and refreshing pool with outdoor shower and lounge chairs, and there's a yoga studio with classes (for a fee) with cozy reading area. It's a beautiful property with plenty of trees, plants, and birds around. Really helpful staff that felt more like family. Rooms were clean and quiet with a nice big shower. Safe and secure property.

I loved everything, this is a really special place! There is a bit of truck noise from the main road, but that's nothing the property can control. I barely heard it from the room.

Wonderful stay in a tropical paradise.

The property was beautiful and lush. In the morning you can hear birds and howler monkeys. It’s close to the beach, great restaurants and stores. The staff was amazing!! They made our stay wonderful. They greeted us with smiles every day, helped with tour planning and gave us general recommendations for the area. The communal kitchen was a great amenity and a wonderful place to socialize with the other guests. We loved staying there and would highly recommended it.

Bring plenty of insect repellent. Due to the lush nature there are many mosquitoes.

The best travelling solo experience

I adored that the location being in the center helped a great deal. Especially being a lone traveller, I was 150 meters from the bus stop, which was a win-win. The vibe itself of having a balcony and being able to unwind and listen to your surroundings was the cherry on the cake! Plus, being so close to the beach, you could hear the waves crashing, and it's a spectacular sound indeed. Also, since my checkout was at 11 am and my bus was at 2 p.m., the hotel provided the option that I could keep my bag at reception, whilst killing time in the city center. Now, this was a great perk. That way, I didn't have to lug my backpack all around town. Excellent service! Very friendly Staff Gabriel and Moises are super. Thanks, guys. I'll definitely be coming back.

We loved our room and the facilities!! Everything was so clean. Our beds were cleaned every day which was appreciated. The staff was kind. Hostel felt safe. Kitchen was well equipped, pool was nice, yoga space is great.

Inexpensive, pretty clean, great staff, nice pool area and outdoor spaces.

Rooms are very tight and with only 1 window it’s tough to get any ventilation with the in room fans.

Very nice hotel!

I liked everything. The style, you really feel in Costa Rica with the plants around, wooden balconies, birds singing, etc. It's relaxing. Very cute private single room with private bathroom, balcony and hammock. Super clean, there's everything to cook, good free coffee, clean beautiful pool, very welcoming and helpful staff. One of the best hotels I have been to in Costa Rica. I would certainly come back and for many nights.

No AC in the single room if it's important for you. But there are fans and with the windows open for me it was ok, not too hot (but a little humid).

i would give this resort 10/10 but the management is so rude that I don’t know if I would return

the property is beautiful. it feels as though you have stepped into a little hidden oasis. it is very close to the beach, stores and anything else you may need. the rooms were clean and the fan and a/c kept us cool.

the owner and management of this hotel are unbelievably rude. they did not make us feel like valued or respected guests. They acted like the parents of the guests, rolling their eyes at us when a pair of infant shorts blew off our patio or telling our friends that they had to go and clean their room immediately so the cleaning staff could change their sheets. When they said they did not want their sheets cleaned, they stated it was not an option.

The perfect place to stay when you visit Sámara !

amazing location in Sámara ! We stayed in the two bedroom house by the pool… Well furnished, fully stocked kitchen, and very comfortable beds! The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. Will definitely return soon!

A green gem close to the beach

This hotel is a green oasis close to the beach. Our room had a very nice balcony with a hammock and we especially loved the garden and the great kitchen. Also the room was cleaned every night.

Unfortunately the street next to the hotel can be pretty noisy. Also the construction of the roof is done in a way that it gets very loud when it rains - as it does so usually at night, we didn't sleep that well.

The Tico Adventure Lodge is very central in Sámara and you can reach all the restaurants, shops and the beach within few minutes. The staff is very nice and helpful! Our room was clean but not too big, but for us with our two backpacks it has been fine. Every room also got a balcony or terrace which is great to hang out.

Maybe our best room in Costa Rica in three weeks. Very comfortable and good value.

We really liked this place. We had the basic quadruple room room with two bunk beds and shared bathroom. The shared bathroom was the best bathroom we had in Costa Rica. It had aircon as well. Plus where was a pool. Really liked the patio area we had with hammock, bench, chairs and table. Really liked the shared kitchen and the coffee on tap. Would stay here again. Very good value for money.

Some people might be bothered by the road noise which occasionally can be load but we didn't really care. The majority of places in town are going to suffer from this to some extent or other.

Nice kitchen, uncomfortable beds and smelly airconditioner, dark place.

The hotel is conveniently located, has a small but very green area (maybe that's why there were a lot of mosquitoes), a very nicely equipped shared tree-house style kitchen.

Bad mattresses and horrible smelly air conditioner (water spilled out on the floor made it smell mouldy in the whole room) made our two nights stay there quite unpleasant. The air conditioner has clearly not been serviced for a long time. Were glad to leave the place... Not much fauna to see around despite green area.

Wonderful and would recommend.

The staff were really friendly and helpful in advising about where to eat and organising tours including an incredible visit to see the mass arrival of turtles nesting at Ostional. The lodge, shared kitchen and pool were really lovely. Very short walk to the beach. Lovely, spacious 3 bedroom lodge with swing and hammock.

By a busy road - we knew this before booking and wasn’t too noisy but in ideal world would be away from the road.
