Breathtaking villa at the top of Funchal

The villa is a special place on the top of the hill in Funchal. The view was breathtaking. The interior space was accommodating to many people to stay and sleep. The outside space was a nice to use. Pedro was so attentive and helpful. He offered so many good local tips to visit during our stay there. Excellent service. When an appliance broke, he came over with a new one and was always very considerate.

The hill to the house is very steep and can be nerve wracking for some to drive on, but that comes with visiting Madeira. There was a pre-existing leak that continued during our stay, however, Pedro sorted that out quite quickly.

Fantastic host along with the property.

Everything about the property was amazing to including the pool. Very nice, the host always gives us good advice recommendations.

On the grill, it was not pre cleaned on arrival and was dirty. So we did not end up using it entirely. Also, the location of how shopping takes over half and hour but thats not the host fault. We chose it like that.

Amazing villa, amazing views.

Spectacular views, really well stocked with kitchen equipment. I was worried the villa would be a bit of a squeeze for 10 people but there was loads of room! Pedro was an incredible host and couldn't have been more useful. Location is perfect if you don't mind being a little outside of town.

Exceptional

The place is situated in a beautiful location with a fantastic view and very independent. The house is very spacious and comfortable with everything you need including towels for the swimming pool. Pedro was always available and helpful. We had a great time there.

The rooms downstairs are a bit humid.

lovely place to watch the world go by but very isolated with few places to walk from the villa. Madeira is like this in

Pedro was a very welcoming efficient and professional host. Views are amazing Property is spacious

The amazing views come at a cost which is you need to trail miles up the hill. Fine if you want to spend all the time there but if like us, you like daily outings, it is a bit of a trek to go anywhere. Hills are scary for the timid driver and you will definitely need to drive.

Wonderfull stay

Very confort and nice accomodation, we enjoyed super view and perfect pool, we would like to thanks owner of villa, he was very helpfull and carre of us as we are his family. Thank you Pedro for beautiful stay!!!

Peaceful villa in between Funchal city and the nature

The kitchen was well equipped with enough utensils. The location was nice and quiet. The roads are steep for walking and a car is necessary if you want to visit places although there is a bus line nearby. The nearest levada (aqueduct) was easy to access and it was a nice experience to explore the nature of the area without resorting to a long car drive.

The bottom floor was a little humid, and more ventilation would improve the situation, but I understand that the building convention is slightly different here in south compared to the northern parts of Europe. It would be a nice improvement if the paving on the villa's driveway could be extended approximately one meter. Then one could turn the car inside the gate safely compared to backing up to the steep road where fast moving cars are passing.
