Well equipped appartement with a great location BUT...

The appartement is right at the "Porte de Gênes" and the Bastion de l'etendard which was the old access to enter the City citadelle. Multiple restaurants are on the street/path right under the appartement leading to Place du Marché and the main "haute ville" city Street named Doria with a spectacular view. At night, you hear the live music coming from l'auberge Corse facing the the Bastion or from the restaurant behind the church. Also, a free lancer accordion player starts the day playing at the Porte de Gênes with a mix of tango and Dalida songs. The interior of the appartement is good overall. It was very clean with nice kitchenware, stylish plates and coffee cups. Cleaning products were widely available inside the appartement including detergents for the washing machine.

Well. There wasn't any soap at the bathroom. So, we had to get it ourselves. Toilette paper wasn't enough. So, we had to get it ourselves as well.

Amazing location

Corsica is an amazing place to visit, as is Bonifacio, but staying in the actual Citadel on top of the mountain overlooking the seas makes the whole experience even more surreal. This apartment is right at the cliffs and even though you don’t get much of a view, you can see Sardinia if you lean out the window, it’s all of 50 feet to see the most incredible view of your life. The owner was extremely kind to us and considerate, and the apartment is very updated and modern and has all the facilities you might want including good air conditioning. An excellent choice.

Maybe one could say it’s a little expensive but everything is pretty expensive in Bonifacio especially places to live, especially in the citadel because it’s very rare to be able to find a place outside of the high-end hotels. Very steep stairs to get to the first level apartment but that also is common in Bonifácio as it is a very vertical town by necessity. So no complaints at all.
