Cabinas D‘Val - ein Stück vom Paradies

Die Unterkunft ist ein Paradies. Das Zimmer ist groß und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht, mit einer kleinen Küche, das Bett ist bequem, die Dusche heiß mit Druck (das ist in CR kein Standard). Die kleine Terrasse vor der Tür ist offen, aber auch von Pflanzen umgeben, so dass sie privat ist. Draußen gibt es einen kleinen Pool, eine Outdoor-Küche, Parkplatz, Außendusche. Alles ist liebevoll gestaltet, eingerichtet, ausgestattet und wird genauso liebevoll gehegt und gepflegt. Es bleiben keine Wünsche offen. Und es ist wunderbar leise, man hört nur die Tiere. In 5 Minuten ist man am Surf-/Badestrand. Auf dem Weg dorthin kann man sich Surfboards leihen. In der näheren Umgebung (5 Minuten) gibt es viele Bars und leckere Restaurants. Aber das Beste an der Unterkunft ist der Vermieter Scott. Er hat uns schon vorab mit vielen guten und liebevollen Informationen zu Restaurants und Aktivitäten vor Ort versorgt. Jede unserer E-Mails/ WhatsApp hat er in kürzester Zeit beantwortet. Er hat sich um alles gekümmert und geholfen.

Colorful garden with swimming pool, big bedroom, cooking niche im the appartment, nice bathroom, good location with lots of restaurants, bars and shops arround, privat parking space and the owner Scott is super nice.

Perfect getaway from the heat.

cabinas D’val is a little paradise in Uvita. Cooling down in the pool or with the AC is a must here and very enjoyable! Scott is such a nice person so it really feels like home.

Lovely bungalows in lovely setting!

Lovely little cabins in a beautiful green little hideaway! Cabins had everything we needed, bed is super comfy and soft. The pool is very clean and great to cool off.

The shower doesn’t have the best water pressure. The aircon is facing right on the head of the bed making it a bit uncomfortable to sleep with the aircon on.

Scott was a great host. Helped plan and suggest everything. Uvita isn't a crazy tourist area like Jaco or areas further north. Nice balance between tons of stuff to do (diving, hiking, adventure stuff, etc.) And just chilling out. Food in the area is awesome but pricey (worth it). Some of the Most beautiful sunsets I have seen anywhere.

No TV but you don't need one. You get up early to see and do all sorts of wonderful stuff and then come back to rest up in a comfortable, clean, cool (AC works good), convenient room so you fall asleep early.

Perfect place to stay in Uvita

This is the perfect place to stay in Uvita. Walking distance to the national park's beach (the best one around) and restaurants. A very short drive (few minutes) to many other restaurants, shops etc. With private, very secure parking. The cabinas are very comfy and had everything we needed. It's just 3 of them there, so it's pretty intimate. All the amenities worked great, including AC. Theres a very nice pool and you're surrounded by tropical plants and birds. And of top of that Scott is a very welcoming and super helpful host. Tip: trips booked by him are cheaper than when do it online in the same agencies. Lovely place, 10/10. Thanks Scott!

Comfortable, relaxed, convenient property with friendly and helpful host.

Great property for travelers who appreciate being able to make some of their own meals and have walkable access to good beaches and restaurants. Scott is an attentive host who goes out of his way to provide a comfortable and enjoyable visit. A nice pool, big beach towels, a great king bed and even boogie boards are nice touches.

Cozy Cabinas to relax in a chilled out costal town

Very cute little cabinas, equipped with an eye for details (even a floating cup holder to enjoy drinks in the pool). Great outdoor kitchen, with all the small stuff you normally need to buy (spices, oil, etc). We loved sitting in the garden, chat with Scott and watch the wildlife around the yard. Scott was a great host and is really caring about his guests!

It was our last long stop after 5 weeks in Costa Rica. It was the best place to stay and the best host we had. A vacation within a vacation. The Cabinas are very clean and have everything you could want, also they have a large and clean outdoor kitchen where you can prepare your own food. Scott is very gracious and gives countless tips for the area. If you need urgent help, he is also happy to assist immediately. You can feel the positive energy that the cabinas and Scott exude. We will definitely come back and visit Scott again!

Nice cabina close to Uvita beach with great host

great location 15min walk to the beach, although it’s the National park beach that costs $6 a day to enter. You can also walk to the little town for restaurants and most of the tour operators for whale tours etc. It is much better to have a car though as everything else in Uvita is very spread out. Scott is a wonderful host and the cabina is comfortable. The pool is a nice addition!

unfortunately it was a little noisier than I was hoping for but that was due to the couple next door having a small child that cried at night plus one day there was construction / renovation work on the property. I may just have been unlucky with the timing so just check if any work is planned while you’re there!

This place is just beautiful. With the common kitchen area you have a nice place to cook and meet the other guests. The separated cabins give you a nice and relaxed private space. It’s close to the beach and some nice restaurants. The star of this place is definitively the host, Scott. He helps where ever he can and you feel, that he runs his Cabinas with love. Absolute recommend!

I had the best time during the 4 days at Cabinas D’Val and would highly recommend this accomodation! - Scott is an amazing host and went above and beyond to make my stay pleasant, helping me out with taxis, restaurants, laundry, … - The shared pool and kitchen are a great place to connect with other travellers. There are only 3 rooms, so it’s always quiet and cosy. - Perfect location close to the beach, shops and restaurants

Beautiful property on quiet side street

Scott was a terrific host striking just the right balance of being friendly and responsive without being intrusive. The landscaping and the room design are lovely - just like in the photos. The shared kitchen was well stocked - we cooked many meals there.

The shower had open vents to the outside. While this was wonderful for hearing the bird song, it meant the hot air also got in. We mitigated this somewhat by covering them with the beach towels Scott was kind enough to provide. (Tucked them in at the top.) The AC also blew directly onto our bed and was too cold to sleep, but Scott again had a workaround - just ask him if this affects you too.
