About this cabin rental

Cabin 1 of 7 with Private River Access to the Nueces River
3 bedroom/2 bathrooms with Exclusive and Private Access the amazing Nueces River.
The Riv Resort is approximately 45 mins from Concan. 30 mins from the Frio River. 5 mins south of Camp Wood. Sits on an exclusive section of the Nueces River.
Come stay at The Riv Resort for a unique vacation experience as you take in the serenity and beauty of Texas!

Answers to frequently asked questions:
-We do not allow pets
-The Riv is located 5 minutes south of Camp Wood, Texas on Highway 55.
-Sleeping arrangements:
3 bedrooms (Room 1: king bed, Room 2: king bed, Room 3: two twin beds) and a living room (one daybed with a pullout bed).
-We provide all linens and towels...even towels for the river, as well as body wash, shampoo, and conditioner.
-The kitchen is stocked with kitchenware: utensils, plates, cups, pots/pans, dish soap, etc. (there is not a dish washing machine), and coffee makers (one Keurig and one traditional coffee maker).
-Refrigerator and freezer (there is not an ice maker)
-Microwave and oven/range
-Each cabin has a propane bbq and a wood bbq on the patio.
-Must be 21 years old to reserve and an adult must be present during the rental period.
-Maximum of 8 tenants per cabin.
-Only tenants of The Riv cabins are allowed on the property and have access to the river.
-Fire pits are on site. Firewood can be purchased from us as you request it.
-The cabins are only about 100 yards from the river.
-You can rent kayaks, paddle boards , and tubes from us, as long as we have timely notice (a few days). First come first served, since we have limited amounts.
-You can reserve one of our three riverfront pavilions or one of our two private docks, as long as we have timely notice (a few days). First come first served, since quantities are limited. When reserving, you can specify which pavilion or dock you want, or one will be assigned.
-You can rent the entire resort (6 cabins, 2 lodges, 2 cottages) for full privacy or you can rent them individually. Contact us if you would like to add more than one cabin.

The house was excellent. The entire staff were polite, prompt, and professional. Cynthia is an incredible manager, she checked on is several times to make sure we had what we needed. The staff was dealing with repairs after the major flooding incident. They were working very hard to put the property back together. I enjoyed the stay and will be back.

We were blown away! Everything was exceptionally great! Management was superb, the grounds were definitely well taken care of. My family was impressed especially the teenagers. We all enjoyed our stay. Will be back next year!

Absolutely stunning location

Although a bit on the pricey side (like all vacation rentals this day, it would seem), it was absolutely worth the visit. River access is fantastic, and there was plenty of action on the fishing front. Clean, nice cabins, and very spacious pavilions available for rent along the river. Will definitely be visiting again.

We had a great time. The river was so clear and warm. The house was the perfect size for our family. My only advice to future renters is to make sure to read the entire welcome email. The pavilions and docks must be rented and are not included in your stay.

Perfect property for a large group. Lots of activities and lot of space to spread out. The Nueces river is crystal clear and a perfect temperature. Pavilion rental definitely recommended. Bring floaties of all shapes and sizes and an inflator.

Our group had a wonderful experience at The Riv. The cabin was clean, well appointed and well maintained. The kitchen had all of the essential tools and they were of better quality than I have experienced in other vacation rentals. We loved the river access and the quality of the water. We are not experienced outdoors folks, but were able to enjoy the river like we actually knew what we were doing. On our evening "constitutional" we did see some whitetail deer on two separate days, so we felt very satisfied with our interaction with animal life, too! I will be recommending The Riv as a site for a family reunion with my brothers next year.

We totally fell in love with the place. Cynthia was great and was always there if we needed something. It truly is a hidden gem!!!! We were there for 4 nights and there is plenty different things to do. Swim, tube, kayak, basketball, relax. The river is beautiful!!

We loved The Riv! We had a group of 6- two adults and five kids, ages 4-12. Everything was just as depicted in pictures, and checking in and out was a breeze. We can’t wait for our next visit!

Great getaway!

A fun long weekend with family! It was a relaxing get away! We loved the river and the fire pit! There is no dishwasher so be sure to bring paper products if you don’t want to hand wash a lot of dishes. Also, there are no skillets but they did have pots. We will be back sometime!

We loved the river! The water was clear and we enjoyed our stay. We arrived on a Thursday and left on a Saturday. The only thing I would mention is if the place is packed, I can see where it is hard to get a good swim area for little ones, but we had no issues and it’s nice that only the families who are staying can use the river on the property. Most of the spots are deep, perfect for older kids and adults. However you can drive to the outside and there is shallow clear water for little ones to play. The house was beautiful and comfortable! We loved it! I would recommend adding a few pans, there were only pots in cabin 1. We will definitely be going back! Just a thought for the owner, maybe adding a few smaller houses, to house 4 people. I think smaller families who do not need a large house would love this and you would definitely book up!

Great Memories!

Great Memories!

We had a fantastic time on the river! It felt as though we had the lake all to ourselves. My young adult children spent most of their time out there! The cabin was a perfect size for 8 adults. The bedrooms were roomy and the beds were comfortable, and we were especially thankful for the 2 full bathrooms. We also want to acknowledge Ivan, David, and John, who took time out of their work day to help us air up our floats and rafts. They really saved the day! We are already planning our return trip next August! :) Thank you to the Michael and Josh. They responded immediately every time I called or emailed. Sara Diaz

We had a great time! Beautiful location for sure. Once the construction is complete it will be amazing. We did try to rent a second cabin for our friends through the same site and couldn't. The message we got back stated the other cabins were full. When we got there only Cabin 4 was occupied and Saturday one other party came in to Cabin 2. Not sure if that was an error or not but I'd look into it. We had a tough time communicating with the onsite property manager though. Asked for simple cleaning supplies, rentals and fire wood and only got 2 trash bags... When we met Jody on the last day she seemed very nice in person and apologized. The kitchen needs a ventilation unit for the stove for sure, master bath shower needs a shelf and to have the drain looked at to solve the stinking issue. Having simple cleaning supplies for tenants to use through their stay would be an added bonus as well. We ended up buying tubes and cleaning supplies for ourselves. The kitchen was a mess and the front room had broken green glass all over the beds and floors when we arrived. We brought our Jeep to do some exploring over our stay and took advantage of the lot the cabins are in. We REALLY wished we could've gotten to one of the hill/mesa's to take some photos. Overall we had a great time and enjoyed our stay. Thank you! P.S. - What is this I hear about exotic animals you've got on a separate parcel? Would love to know a little more and possibly set up a hunting trip in the future. James B.
