Alabasta accommodation is located in Oakura Village. Fifteen minutes drive south of New Plymouth on Taranaki’s unique Surf Highway 45. Close to all village amenities, with cafes, Indian Restaurant and Pub and only 5 minutes walk to beautiful Oakura beach. Alabasta offers new, modern and fresh apartment style accommodation. This is the ideal place for short or long stays for all visitors to Taranaki. A great alternative to a hotel, Alabasta offers all comforts of any home. This apartment can sleep up to five people with a queen and single bed in the bedroom, a king single trundler bed that converts to a double bed or two single beds in the living area. It has a spacious bathroom, an open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area. The apartment is fully equipped for your convenience. Alabasta has laundry facilities and off road parking.
Special conditions:
$130 for 2 people. $25 per extra adult. $15 per extra child under 16.
Smoking allowed outside only.
Please note, minimum stay 2 nights over holiday periods.
May to September 1 night stay available.

We had a one night staycation at this property. It was great to be able to walk to the pub and cafes. The property was nice an clean and the bed was super comfy. I gave it 4 stars rather than 5, only because the couch and chairs appeared to be like reception furniture and wasn't awesome for relaxing in the evening. It would be nice to have a decent couch that two people could relax on comfortably. Otherwise, it was great. Nice selection of teas and thanks for the cookies!

We had a great time exploring the local community culture and beach. Close enough for us to catch up with family in Omata and New Plymouth but also a place we could come back to relax and unwind.

Perfect for our needs, walking distance to the coffee shop, restaurant, and the four square. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. Communication with the host is quick and easy.

We loved the beach towels that were provided for the swim in the lagoon nearby. The beds were comfortable. The space was clean and centrally located.

All facilities were as described, beds were comfy, reasonable price. Problem with getting sound from the TV. Bit frustrating after a long day travelling. Jenny offered to come round the next day. We eventually solved it by unplugging everything, then replugging and retuning channels. Overall though, I would recommend.

Wonderful spot quick walk down to the beach although there was no proper heating so we were cold visiting in midwinter. Overall would stay again.

We came for Womad festival, the place is located on a main road-easy to access. Well presented, comfortable, very clean (to excellent standards). Quick response from the owner. We were very happy with everything. Thank you 🙏. We are pleased to recommend it to others.

The apartment was excellent. Clean, well equipped and plenty of room. As a beach property, the huge supply of towels was very welcome for a family of four. As well as a washing machine, dryer and great shower. All in all, a really great place.

Absolutely perfect place to stay. We purchased a couple of fans as it was very hot and sunny while we were there. Great location. Highly recommend. Comfortable beds and nice and airy with large ranch slider. Owners are so helpful and thank them for everything. Due to covid booking changed a couple of times over the years.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was just perfect. Had everything you need, and a lovely thought of a fruit bowl and eggs left for us! We would definitely stay here again. Thank you so much Guy and Jenny.
