Wonderful hotel, great price.

This hotel had the best shower of any place I've every stayed. Wonderful control, flow and pressure, ease of use. Great towels (two different kinds!) and plenty of them. Room darkening shades for privacy. Bed was very comfortable. Lots of desk space for computer & accessories. The breakfast was terrific--corned beef hash, fresh hot scrambled eggs, potatoes, etc. and the coffee was very good. One TV with the sound turned off (thank you!). Everything very clean.

Sehr gutes Hotel mit einem guten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis

Sehr geräumiges Zimmer für 3 Personen. 2 Doppelbetten, somit musste niemand auf einem Sofabett schlafen. Gutes standard amerikanisches Frühstück. Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus. Sehr freundliches Personal. Check-in/Check-out schnell und unkompliziert. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Wer ein Hotel in Poughkeepsie sucht, ist hier falsch. Wir sind nur 1 Nacht geblieben und haben beim Abreisen die Brücke zu Fuss besucht. Können das Hotel auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

Nicht zu empfehlen, wenn man die Stadt Poughkeepsie besuchen möchte, da es ausserhalb liegt. War uns aber bewusst.

I did not partake in the free breakfast. The facility was extremely clean and comfortable. It was my third stay. I would stay again.

Lots of road noise from Route 9. Some of the front desk staff did not say anything…hello, good morning, anything…

Beautiful except Rm 310 loud low groan all night long

The breakfast was really good: steel cut oats, almond slivers, raisins, fruit salad, scrambled eggs, bacon, pan fried potatoes, corned beef hash, flour tortillas available to create wraps, ice tea. Room decor was beautiful. Shower was powerful.

Loud low machinery groan all night long in room 310. Window shade was like a stage scrim which would not provide privacy if lights were on in the room. No lactose free milk and yogurt offerings at breakfast (such as “Silk” or “Ripple”)

It was beyond our expectations. Management should recognize all their staff members.

We liked everything about Hyatt Place Poughkeepsie. Good customer Service at the reception. The location was perfect and the hotel in itself was very clean and smelled fresh all though. It was exceptional. I hope the Management of Hyatt Place Poughkeepsie recognize all their staff members because this is team work, from reception, housekeeping, laundry and dietary. Keep up the good work!!!

The staff was lovely. The place was clean.

There were no drapes in the rooms so there was no sleeping in. The tiles in the bathroom floor were all loose so there was no sneaking in for a midnight pee. The tiles clacked under foot. The morning buffet was not great. Their version of bacon was bacon bits and their sausage was "Jones" precooked. The selection of baked goods was bread or bagel. Pancakes and waffles were only possible thru a commercial toaster. There wasn't a handicap door button at the backdoor so it was a trick to the mobility scooter thru the 2 sets of fire doors.

Nice place

Very spacious room. Excellent breakfast.

I arrived 30 minutes before check-in time of 3PM. I was very surprised when they told me I couldn't check in until 3. There was no checking to see if a room was ready, it was just a no. They do.play some music on speakers outside the front entrance. Unfortunately, my room was located above that entrance and, though I eventually fell asleep, I should be able to hear that music at midnight.

The breakfast was ok.....but I didn't like the eggs. I liked the outdoor patio with the gas fire pit. Nice area to relax. The pool was nice but it would have been nice to sit outside on at a patio area, after my dip.

A good hotel at a very competetive price

Very reasonable hotel with lots of extra facilities including swimming pool, gym, free on site parking & breakfast Everything was clean and the shower was just so powerful

It's an out of town location where a car is really essential though in our case this didn't matter The decor was also a bit staid but maybe that view is influenced by the fact that it had absolutely poured with rain all day so everything had gone grey and green
