Ausgesprochen freundliches Personal, schönes Ambiente, top Essen sowie Wellnessbereich!
Hotel Almgut befindet sich in einer recht ruhigen Gegend, ist jedoch mit ein bisschen Fahrzeit von wunderschönen Bergseen & vielen Wandermöglichkeiten umgeben. Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich & hilfsbereit. Gesamtes Hotel sehr sauber & stilvoll eingerichtet. Essen war sehr gut - angefangen vom sehr großen Frühstücksbuffet, abwechslungsreiche Nachmittagsjause, und ausgezeichnetes Abendessen- da ist für jede/jeden was dabei. Viele verschiedene Saunabereiche, Ruheräume sowie ein gepflegter Poolbereich. Sehr angenehm Atmosphäre im gesamten Hotel! Man fühlt sich einfach wohl! :)
Die erste Sauna wird leider erst ab 13 Uhr in Betrieb genommen - man kann sich jedoch ab der Früh im Wellnessbereich aufhalten & schwimmen gehen. Sonst gibt es wirklich nichts zu bemängeln- Top Hotel :)

The pool and spa area were very good! Renovation overall is good! I guess the location and the carpark is fine as well.
Food was "fine" but not what you expect for the *s or the price.. very pretentious but not freshly made and not very tasteful (production kitchen for 100-200 guests). the Wine-fridge was (apparently) broken so we and other tables were served lukewarm wine bottles (also prestigious wines were warm) the staff quickly got some ice buckets but the bottles (of all tables) were already open. When we arrived in the room there were 2 big clumbs of dog hair in teh room and moving the carpet showed some more hairs.. we also found a towel with some feces stuck behind the door. The cleaning staff obviously don't feel like really cleaning, the spa area was very clean the rest of the hotel not.. also obvious by the many flies in the restaurant. The owners didn't seem too happy, the atmosphere wasn't great and not many guests smiled. Seemed that the (fantastic) renovation was ill timed and there is no money left for running the hotel at the quality that it deserves.. maybe sell it and get out if you don't want to work in hospitality!

Perfect wellness holiday in Lungau
Great food, sauna & wellness facilities. What's even better, welcome and departure gifts made feel especially pampered. My husband had his birthday diring our stay and we got a real treat )) The traditional wood-based decor in the saunas and especially restaurant deserves a special praise. Lungau is not yet a mass-tourism place, come and enjoy unspoilt nature and quiet mountain landscapes.
Music in the sauna is not to everyone's taste )) but otherwise PERFECT place to wind down, relax and enjoy good food.

The dinners (half-board) were a bit disappointing and not quite leaving up the high standards of everything else.
