Goede accommodatie met zeer vriendelijk personeel!

Mooie accommodatie met zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Het personeel hielp ons direct bij binnenkomst met allerlei activiteiten die wij konden ondernemen. Uiteindelijk hebben wij via het hotel een top gids geboekt, die ons de omgeving in één middag heeft laten zien. Mijn partner was uiteindelijk haar slippers kwijtgeraakt bij het hotel. De eigenaar heeft de slippers nu laten opsturen naar ons volgende hotel; top service!

De accommodatie ligt iets verder buiten het centrum, al is de afstand nog aan te lopen.

Unfassbar liebe Besitzer, die uns alles ermöglicht haben, was wir brauchten. Egal, ob Transport, Roller, Frühstück oder Empfehlungen - uns wurde bei allem weitergeholfen! Abends wird ein Feuer angemacht und es gibt kostenlosen Tee, wann immer man möchte. Overall eine sehr gemütliche Atmosphäre, ein bequemes Bett und eine heisse Dusche mit super Wasserdruck. Alles war sauber, wir hatten keinerlei Krabbeltiere im Zimmer und das WLAN war gut. Der Ausblick über die Stadt aus unserem Zimmer war ein weiterer Bonus :)

Es war etwas hellhörig und wir fanden es im Zimmer stets kalt. Mit den Decken konnte man sich aber bequem einkuscheln, doch dicke Socken schaden hier nicht :)

Nice!

Nice room and comfortable bed with clean sheets. The shower was good. The location was great, only a short walk to the city centre. The host was very nice. He even washed my trousers for free when they got filthy.

Beautiful place to stay in Nuwara Eliya

The view from the room was really magnificent and the room was also a really good size and nice and clean. The shower was by far the best I had in Sri Lanka and the staff were really lovely. I would definitely stay here again!

It was a little chilly because of the weather but that was the same for everywhere I went in Nuwara Eliya and the nice hot shower definitely made up for it!

My stay at Pigeons Nest in Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka, was truly delightful. The cozy ambiance and picturesque surroundings made for a charming experience. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring I had everything I needed throughout my stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and offered breathtaking views of the lush green landscapes.

Good value tidy rooms helpful staff

The staff were lovely, the room was nice, big views from the family room. We found the room very cold as there is no heating but we did visit during a very cold period. The staff gave us extra blankets which was appreciated. Staff very helpful, ordered our food delivery on our behalf and suggested things to do on rainy days like we had. *A great outing for us was high tea at the historic Grand Hotel

Cold room and no shower wall so bathroom floor became wet and slippery.

The best place with a beautiful view

We had an amazing time at this place. A beautiful location to enjoy the mountain view. The staff were exceptional and always there to assist wherever possible. The owner Prince and his son Akram gives every effort to make their guests happy. And the sister who cooks and serves is a very kind hearted human. So many things to love about this property. Definitely worth the money. Rooms are well designed with a modern touch. Felt so home everyday there. We will definitely love to return.

I highly recommend taking the upstairs room with the beautiful view. the other rooms are directly in the living room so if you can I’d chose to stay upstairs, it’s very beautiful and a huge room. Very hot shower, comfy bed, lots of blankets and good amenities

I spent a weekend here in March and would happily stay again. My friend and I arrived after dark and fully exhausted, but Akram met us at the door, made us tea, and helped us order some very good roti wraps off the house menu since we didn't want to go out again. He helped us plan our itinerary for the next day and arranged a tuk tuk for transport, and gave us his WhatsApp for any questions. The downstairs rooms (where we stayed) branched off a living room area with couches, a fireplace, and a breakfast table -- it sort of felt like staying in a home, which was nice. Good views out the front windows and from the front porch of the surrounding hills. Even though it's up the hill a bit, the walk into town wasn't that bad, and they gave us a map with some pedestrian shortcuts upon arrival. I definitely recommend Pigeons Nest if you are looking for a low-key but comfortable place to stay in NE-- they really did everything they could to make our stay run smoothly.

It got a little cold at night, but they lit a fire in the living room for us which was lovely! Just make sure you bring a warm jacket because Nuwara Eliya can be chilly.

Very kind and helpful staff. They helped arrange trips and renting a scooter. Room was very nice, beautiful view and good bed. And the cook was very good. We really enjoyed our stay.

it's interesting how the building isn't finished yet. it seems they are going to build 2 more rooms on the floor we stayed later. Anyway it didn't affect our stay.

Chilling with the incredible view

The place you can feel like at home, very friendly owner, beautiful sunrise, kind people all around, very beautiful bathroom with strong hair dryer! It can be a little bit cold but there's a chimney, blankets. The room is unique, big windows and such a beautiful view. There are puffs you can sit and enjoy the view and chilling even if it's raining.strongly recommend to visit this place.

Best place to stay in Nuwara Eliya

The place is a like dream. I stayed at their king suite, it was really breathtaking. You can never get enough of this place. Owner was super helpful, and always help you with what to see and where to go around Nuwara Eliya. Food wise I had their Chicken Wrap with Chips twice my stay. it’s really tasty and full filling. Overall this was a top notch experience.

Great place to stay on

Prince and his family are lovely people. Prince helped us with our planning, gave us great tips, arranged our transport with Kareem, our amazing driver who saved the day when our train tickets were cancelled at the last minute. We really enjoyed our stay and would come again.

Clean, beautiful room with amazing view, got an upgrade from the host. The host is very friendly, has good recomentations on activities, food and so on, even organised a perfect trip to the tea factory and the waterfalls for us. Big "social room" with open fire in the evening, perfect to just relax or connect with other travellers!

Good stay in Nuwara Eliya for some sightseeing

Comfortable beds with enough layers of blankets to sleep (very important in this region!!), fresh towels, soap present, good shower (but cfr infra). Friendly host! He gives more than enough advice about sightseeing! Breakfast is good, but we don’t love that much Sri Lankan style, so we asked for European breakfast. The host did everything to arrange this! Loved their effort! Good communication with the host!

The boiler of the shower did not work properly, the water was freezing cold sometimes! It’s a little bit cold inside the building, so perhaps some heating would be a great idea. A fresh towel every day is a basic need, so a guest should not have to ask for it several times!

maybe the pictures looked a bit nicer that what it actually is. The room was fine but the bathroom was quite old, small and needed some maintenance.

A gem of a place with the most incredible host

Prince was amazing. Very welcoming. Helped organise our time there and was very kind and generous. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the family room had incredible views.
