Great for a short stay, beach getaway!

The pool was amazing, they even provide pooltowels! The staff was super friendly and the AC works really well. The shower is great and the location couldn’t be better.

The wifi in the upstairs room wasn’t stable and kept going on and off. When you go down (poolside) it works better. Also if you have the private room upstairs then you have to know it’s very noisy. You can hear your neighbours talk and walk. The building seemed kinda empty but unfortunately we did get neighbours for 2 nights. Also you have to know that the bed moves a lot when you use it with two people, we found it hard to get comfortable.

Entspannung pur

Wir haben uns im Penthouse richtig wohl gefühlt. Zum Strand sind wir gerade mal 3 Minuten gelaufen und dort war es wunderschön. An dem Ort kann man richtig entspannen, viel los ist hier allerdings nicht.

Hotel was close to the beach, and a good restaurant nearby, the room was comfortable, the outdoor settings had a great funky tropical theme, staff were friendly and helpful

Nearby construction work started before 7 AM in the morning (this was out of the hosts control though)

A charming interlude.

There is a big difference in ambience between "cookie cutter" standard construction resorts, and a place which has bloomed through years of TLC from devoted owners. El Reinas has that extra charm. And André's smoothies are the best ever!

Great location and fabulous staff

El Reinas has the friendliest, nicest staff ever. They were really happy to help us with anything we needed and were extremely nice, there is a dog called Dafne and she is so sweet. Also, the hotel has a great location with a 3 minutes walk to the beach.

The walls are so thin you could hear everything from everywhere all at once. We stayed in the rooms on the first floor and got all the noise from the entrance, the swimming pool, the restaurant, and the upper floor.

I would come back

Beautiful hotel with plants and flowers, birds around, nice pool and gym space, surfboards rental on site, AC, nice staff, good smoothies at the restaurant (I didn't taste other breakfasts but they seem good too), near the beach and the center of Playa Grande, quiet so it's perfect to relax, private bathroom.

Some insects in the room (but kinda normal in a warm country), mouse poop in the bathroom near the toilet. I was confused with the pictures on Booking which made me think that there was a common kitchen, but there's not. The kitchen is for the loft only.

Staff untrustworthy

The room was big, clean, and comfortable

The staff stole jewlery from one person's bag and a makeup bag from another bag. We took carry-on bags only. The bags were never out of our sight except in our room, and the last day, they offered to watch our bags until our driver arrived. They went through all the bags and stole from us. The staff is rude and untrustworthy.

Farily basic but clean friendly and great value for money

Amazing staff, great breakfast, lovely pool and outside area and only a minute from the beach. Good value for money.

As per the other reviews the rooms are noisy, there is very little sound insulation between rooms and the hard floors transmit the sound. Not much that can be done, carpet perhaps but possibly not feasible with the sand.

Nice family run h otel

Nice location close to the beach. Great little spot with a pool in the courtyard. The restaurant serves breakfast. The rooms are clean and a good size. We would definitely recommend to our friends and we'd stay again!

It's a wooden building, so you hear the people above you.

Cozy smaller hotel in excellent location with great staff

Outdoor common area, close to beach, excellent staff, very good breakfast.

Wifi in the room was spotty but good in common areas. Rooms are clean and comfortable but no blankets.

Good

Great location just a few minutes walk to the beach. The pool is great and has fun features (seats in the pool and a gradual slope in the shallow end great for kids). Inexpensive board rentals in the front office. Quiet while we were there and seemed great as a family friendly spot. Staff were very welcoming.

The AC stopped working on our second night which was a bummer. The cleaning products in the bathroom were strongly scented (not unusual for hotels, but hard for me as fragrance can be a migraine trigger).

Fantastic accommodation! Great food and location perfect for surfers

The room was clean and spacious. The food in the restaurant was fantastic. They make the best pizzas. There are some really nice seating areas and a great pool! Great location literally 2 minutes from the beach. The staff were friendly and accommodating and a big shout out to Luis who helped me with my excursions! Great hotel for surfers who want to ride the waves on the pacific coast
