Was so so so dirty they did not even have any soap or toilet paper

Extremely dissapointing

We arrived to the villa after driving 2000km from Denmark. We could quickly concluded, that the villa was not in a shape where we could stay 2 families. About half of the mosaic tiles in the pool was broken off, leaving the entire pool with razor sharp edges and unsafe to walk around and swim in. Unfortunately some of our kids had already jumped in and one of them cut his feet pretty badly. Besides the unsafe pool we have never seen such dirty house. Everything was dirty. Not only floors with duft and a lot of black hair, but also inside cabinets and drawers, old food items in the kitchen etc. All kitchen ware needed to be washed. There was also a large crack in one of the terrase windows. Even the sunbeds and their pillows were covers with large stains and bird crap. Upon arrival when the owner showed us the house he promised to fix the cleaning the next day. But when we realized how unsafe the pool was, we decided to move to another villa we booked. Sunday morning when we left, the property owner returned after telling him we would leave. He recognized the conditions and as he stated he could not rebuild the pool, he agreed to make a full refund. Unfortunately now 2 month later he has been refusing ever since, so we never got any kind of refunds.

Good

We really loved staying at this villa. The view was great and the surroundings were quiet. The house is spacious and cosy. There is a great swimming pool outside. All in all, we loved the house and the host was very helpful and friendly.

Although it’s a little bit unclean in the house and there are some insects, which isn’t nice. Sometimes you can hear domestic animals outside (goats, dogs...) at night. It wasn’t bothering for us (even funny) but if you have sensitive sleep - it may be a thing.

Spectacular villa in the south of France for a great coastal holiday

A beautiful villa in a great location near all amenities. Great view of the coast. Host was very accommodating and proved always responsive. The house comes fully equipped for a hassle-free vacation. We would definitely recommend for a great holiday in Côte d’Azur. Merci Robert.

The next door villa was undergoing construction during our stay, which was a nuisance for noise at times.

Exceptional villa, didn’t want to leave

The villa had everything you needed, very well equipped. Pool was gorgeous, location was great, you are close to the town but secluded by trees that you felt very private. It was a big villa, 4 double rooms and so much seating areas, it would be a great place for 4 couples to stay in. Perfect location for visiting Cannes and Monaco, our main aim for our holiday. We just loved our stay at Villa Defendum and didn’t want to leave.

Had abit of trouble finding property, security gates at entrance to driveway, luckily a gentleman was there that knew the code. Did speak to hosts by telephone as it was stated on my confirmation we would be met on arrival. If my confirmation had said we wouldn’t be met by hosts that would’ve been fine, but after afew questions, shutter operation, keys to property, all was sorted. We didn’t actually see hosts as very relaxed for us to enjoy their property as our own.
