About this villa rental

Beautiful and elegant villa in Castellina in Chianti is in the popular Chianti wine area between Florence and Sienna.
A stone-made, typical Tuscan-style house with all the necessary facilities, a refreshing private and exclusive pool, fireplace, outdoor dining area, four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a nicely decorated kitchen.
The Cypresses Villa is surrounded by green hills.

Cypressess Villa is a unique house, a spacious stone-made house surrounded by green and peaceful land, ideal for those who like outdoor activities but suitable for those who like to stay home and cook a great meal made with fresh local products available in the neighborhood and also it's the right place for the ones that enjoy sitting outside reading or soaking the sun by the pool area.

The Villa has two floors; on the 1st floor (2nd American standard), there is a sleeping area with three bedrooms, two with queen-sized beds, one with a double bed, and one single.
On this floor, there are two bathrooms, one accessorized with a tub and shower, and the second bathroom is in a suite in one of the bedrooms.
There is also an extra room suitable for training, a sort of gym room, but do not expect to find a fully equipped gym :) There are just a couple of equipment.

There are plenty of rooms on the ground: one living room with a fireplace perfectly working, a reading room with a piano for those who like to play instruments, and a dining room with a table for eight pax. A Cozy kitchen with a large fireplace is a fantastic place to cook a barbecue or a traditional meal; on the ground floor, there is also a service (bathroom) and a laundry room.

The house entrance is a patio/terrace where you can sit, relax, read, drink a glass of wine, or just soak in the sun.

Next to the Villa is a green private area accessorized with tables and chairs where you can enjoy a beautiful lunch on a lovely Tuscan day.

The swimming pool is attached to the Villa; it's freshwater.
The pool is open from 1st JUNE to 30th SEPT; it is a private swimming pool (4x5 mt and depth is 1,20 mt) for the exclusive use of the guests of the Villa.
In May 2017, we finished building the new private pool, and we noticed that guests before that date would have shared the use of a secondary pool we have on the property. The new pool is located just by the Villa.

Guests can use the pool when open; it is fresh water with sunbeds and umbrellas and a NON- reheated pool.

There is plenty of space outside, the property is large and green, and it's possible to hike and enjoy nature anytime.

I expect my guests to use good common sense and pay attention to avoid damaging the property.

Pats are allowed but must be approved by the owner, so it's good to ask about it at the time of the reservation request.

The maximum number of guests is eight; the owner should approve other options if they ask for them.

The road to access the Villas could be better for sports cars. It is not terrible, but you want to drive slowly and know that you cross a wood area at night so you will not have illumination beside your car lights.
I drive a regular car and have never had an issue. Amazingly, sometimes you cross a deer or a fox.

The Cypresses Villa is fantastic; it is peaceful, green, sunny, and great for families and a small group of friends.

Letting children and non-self-sufficient persons alone is forbidden in the pool.
No animals too in the water!

Danish-American extended family of 7 had 5 great days at the Villa, we might have needed a minute to adjust to the rustic charm but after that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. After warm and exhausting days traveling to Siena and Florence, everybody loved playing in the spacious pool, especially if farm dog Leo came to play! House is 5 mins from Castellina, which was a favorite town on the trip, it has everything from great restaurants, fun shopping and world class gelato. It is also just 30 mins from Siena, which (while touristy) was a nice visit. Prepare for rustic charm and don't arrive in darkness, the 3-min dirt road to the Villa is best driven during daylight!

Wonderful stay in a wonderful place

I stayed 2 weeks with family and friends and we all fell in love with the place ! Such a large exquisite old house, a lot of inside and outside spaces for each to enjoy some privacy. Loved the quietness, the environment so beautiful and green, the pools so enjoyable. The neighboring village is in my opinion one of the nicest place in Chianti, with plenty shops and good restaurants. Access road is bumpy yes, but really manageable. Last but not least, the owner is a delightful person, helpful, attentive but discreet, wonderful ! We are definitely thinking about returning !

We recently stayed in Florence and then on a whim decided to search for a property with a little more seclusion. We found this villa close to Castellina in Chianti. The house was a little on the large size for our needs and could easily handle 2 families. The house has a great feel and is authentic to this area. It is not over developed inside but has retained it's character and was an excellent base for our exploration of the region. The realtor was efficient and the owner who lives close by extremely pleasant.

My family and I spent a week at the house , the house is even better than in the pictures and place is very charming. We had a great vacation in Tuscany and the house was in perfect location to explore around. the owner was there to help if we needed him, and he gave us some good tips. Okay we are used to the city life so I kind of miss all the services , the shops are not 24/7 but that is what you want to find in the Tuscany , right? authentic life.
