About this house rental
Simply put, Lake George is one of the most beautiful and pristine lakes in the country. The northern end is perhaps the most peaceful and picturesque area of the entire lake. Our lake house is uniquely located facing south on the peninsula of Black Point. Just sit back in a chair on the lawn (or in the living room) with your beverage of choice and watch the wildlife, boats, movement of the water or wait for the sunset over the mountains. So restful.
Our lake house features 150 feet of water frontage, large dock, beautiful sunrises from the kitchen window and sunsets from the living room window and backyard, short walk to the town sandy beach, and only 5 minutes to the boat launch. The town beach has lifeguards, bathrooms, swings, beach volleyball, and picnic pavilion. There aren't very many waterfront houses on Lake George that face south. This is a great house for families or for a week escape with friends - there's even a finished basement with ping-pong and a foosball table!
When you enter The Point House you'll be struck by the view straight ahead out the dining room window. Come in, drop your bags and rush to the living room window. The southern view of Rogers Rock and Anthony's Nose is spectacular. Leave the bags in the hallway and go out to the back lawn exiting through the three-season porch. This is why you're here – the shady lawn is the place to spend a summer afternoon. You'll notice the dock and the shallow water down below – kids (and adults!) will have a blast jumping into the lake. The lake bottom here is a mixture of sand and small rocks – no muck here. Notice the large rock next to the dock and make a mental note to reserve some time to sit there with a book or come out at night to star gaze.
While you'll love the view and the closeness of the water, you'll also feel at home with the accommodations and amenities the house has to offer. The large kitchen features all new appliances including a double wine/beer chiller, dishwasher, and microwave. There is plenty of counter space to prepare food and even an eat-in kitchen dining area. All necessities are included: traditional coffee maker, blender, KitchenAid mixer, and service for twelve.
Long after you travel home you'll remember the view from the living room picture window. Watch for sunrises, sunsets, birds, or enjoy the peaceful lulling of the water. There is also a wi-fi TV, fireplace, ping-pong table, and game cabinet. This main room, furnished in mid-century modern, also features a dining area. The table comes with several leaves and can accommodate ten people.
If you prefer, make the three season room your main living area. With a dining table that seats six plus a loveseat and armchairs, you can spend all day here. Open the windows for a summer breeze, or keep them closed for a cozy fall afternoon.
The large master bedroom has lovely lake views and a king size bed. There are great views of Rogers Rock from the bed! The second bedroom has two sets of twin bunk beds and an additional twin trundle and sleeps five children or young adults comfortably. The third bedroom has a double bed. There's plenty of room for the whole family, and is great for a vacation with extended family or friends.
The main bathroom has been completely renovated and features a tub/shower and double-basin sink. There is also a great view from this room! The second bathroom (on the lower lever), also renovated, features a shower stall. There is also a half bath next to the kitchen.
The lower level has a laundry room with washer and dryer. The playroom is down a half flight from the laundry area, with ping pong, foosball, and its own Sonos speaker.
A blue stone patio at the lake's edge is the perfect place start or end the day. The patio has a fire pit and plenty of space for the whole family (we supply firewood in the shed). Five kayaks with life jackets and paddles are available for use.
During the summer season The Point House is available by the week on a Saturday to Saturday basis. The dock can accommodate one boat up to 25' in length. Please note that we do keep our boat at the house during the summer. It is stored on a lift out of the way. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate jet skis.
We're travelers ourselves and are committed to providing a great vacation rental experience for all our guests.

This place is amazing, and the hosts are the real deal! They have amazing attention to detail, and we arrived with fun homey surprises around every corner. It was the perfect lake experience!

We were delighted by the house upon arrival—it was clean, tidy, and very spacious. It came well-equipped with many amenities to enhance our stay, including kayaks, a new dock, a large outdoor grill, fire pit, wine fridge, ping-pong and foosball tables, and more. The house had thorough instructions and labels on light switches, cabinets, and other essentials, making it easy to navigate and use.
The hosts were exceptional. Their responsiveness was practically instant at all times, and it was clear that they genuinely wanted us to enjoy our vacation.
The house boasts an absolutely stunning view. Located in the northern portion of the lake, the house sits atop a point facing south, providing a direct view down the lake.
Situated in a quiet residential neighborhood, the nearest town is Ticonderoga, near historic Fort Ticonderoga. Beyond that, there are no attractions and very few restaurants in the vicinity. This makes the location perfect for those looking to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of the more crowded Lake George Village, just over an hour away by car.
We highly recommend this house to anyone looking to disconnect and enjoy a serene vacation in a secluded part of Lake George with a breathtaking view. If your vacation plans involve frequent dining out or visiting Lake George attractions, this location might not be ideal due to the hour-long drive to popular destinations. However, for a relaxing, picturesque getaway, this house is perfect.

Our nine day vacation was just what we were looking for. The house was clean, comfortable and the view was just absolutely amazing. Everything we needed was provided.
Rob was such an excellent host; kept in contact and answered all our questions and concerns. We even had a beautiful welcome basket complete with a s’mores kit and a bottle of Prosecco.
Thank you again for sharing your lovely lake house with us and we definitely be back! A+++

We had some family join us at this wonderful home on the water. Plenty of space for everyone. Enjoyed the amazing scenery. We fished and kayaked. We enjoyed talking around the outdoor fire pit and eating s’mores. Very close to Ticonderoga so if you forget anything there is a Walmart close by. House was neat, clean and well stocked. Thank you!

Trip was absolutely perfect, couldn’t have asked for a better house. Host was amazingly helpful and quick response if we needed anything at all, house was immaculate and stocked with every necessity. Paper products, kitchen appliances, new grill, laundry and toiletries, literally everything we needed to arrive and feel right at home. Felt like staying in a cabin right on the lake with all the amenities of a fully furnished house. High speed internet, consistent temperature in the house with updated thermostats, awesome Bluetooth sound system connected in the entire house, comfortable furniture. Highly recommend and will DEFINITELY booking again in the near future. A+++++ Review 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟’s for sure.

We travelled with life long friends to this wonderful house on Lake George to view the 2024 eclipse. The house was perfect—right on the lake with spectacular views of wildlife and sunsets. We cooked most of our meals in a fantastically equipped kitchen. Everything you could want, from Kitchen Aid mixer to a wine cooler is there. Spent some time exploring the area but were happiest sitting in the Adirondack chairs overlooking the lake. Our stay was definitely once in a lifetime—we won’t forget it.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our week - the view was breathtaking. Everything we needed was readily available. The only negative comment I can make is we didn't book it for longer.

Our family had an amazing time. The weather was perfect. The view and amenities were exceptional. Our granddaughters enjoyed jumping off the dock and navigating their paddle-boards. We really enjoyed watching the turtles on turtle rock which was nearby. The home had everything you would need for a comfortable stay.

Great location in a quiet neighborhood. Actively on the beach four houses down during the day but always quiet between 9-10pm. House is clean and well stocked. We traveled with a 4, 7 and 9 year old that loved fishing off the dock and closeness to the beach and the streets were quiet and safe to easily walk or paddle board to the beach.
About an hour fifteen from lake George village day trips in that direction were easy enough but provided for a nice quiet lane end stay. Beautiful views. Rob was was nice checking in on us and quick to respond to any questions.

This was the cleanest, well supplied rental we ever stayed in. The owners responded immediately with answers to any questions we had. It is in a VERY QUIET area. Beautiful views of the lake. There aren't many restaurants in the area. We had to drive into Bolton Landing or Lake George Village for dinner.

The views at the house can’t be beat. The lake and mountains are gorgeous and there are plenty of spots to admire them from both inside and outside. The house had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking and eating tools.

This place is beautiful and a great place to get away and relax. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and made it easy to check in. A little far out, but worth it for the views and privacy. Thanks for an amazing place to stay with friends for my birthday!

Great home, with fantastic hosts, and excellent communication. Will return next year for the third time. In the most wondrous area, on our hikes we saw a pileated woodpecker, bald eagle, and porcupine.

Another great week spent here. As always easy communication with Rob and Heather, clean home with whatever you need. Could spend days just hanging on the dock taking in the scenery. Gorgeous place and area, hope to return again!

This is an amazing place. We have stayed at 5 lake houses in Northern Lake George the last decade and this is by far our favorite. The house was incredibly clean and Rob was tremendously responsive and gracious. With the location and elevation of the house, the panoramic views of the lake looking south, Rogers Rock and the surrounding mountains are breathtaking, probably the best on Northern Lake George, and the pictures hardly do it justice. The views are just as incredible from most of the house as they are from the porch, yard and dock. The house is perfectly set up for children and seniors alike, and unique to houses in this area, the main living area, the driveway, and yard with the views is level which is wonderful. The fire pit with orange Adirondack chairs with lake views provided hours of relaxation, and the perfectly situated dock provided hours of enjoyment swimming and sun bathing. We rented a boat at Snug Harbor which is conveniently located a few minutes away near Ticonderoga. We cannot say enough about this property and cannot wait to come back next year!

This is a fantastic home to rent. It is very spacious and comfortable, and the views are just amazing! The kitchen is well very well equipped, and there are air conditioners in every room. A queen bed rather than a double in one of the bed rooms would be an improvement. There is one canoe and five kayaks! Incredible! And the dock is excellent. There are lots of life jackets in every size and lots of beach towels! The hosts are very responsive!
We had a wonderful time!

View is breathtaking
House has all new appliances which was really nice everything we could of needed was there. The welcome gift was a nice touch. Plenty of room for the whole family. We spent 90% of our time outside. Great dock for the boat. Great area to snorkel and fish.

Wonderful second year in a row!
This was our second time staying here and just as wonderful as the last. Rob was an amazing host, he truly went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable with an infant and two small children. We loved the nearby beach and fishing off of the dock. My 6 year loved climbing up and down the rocks! The view is unbelievable even on rainy days. We love this home!

Beautiful and secluded
We've stayed at several Vrbo properties and this was unanimously our favorite. The location was gorgeous and the amenities were outstanding. I mean who supplies a crockpot! The kayaks, beach towels, firewood, stores supplies... I could go on and on. We loved our stay here and plan to go back.

I can't imagine a better place to stay on Lake George. Rob and Heather are the perfect host and their lake front home has everything you would need for a fun, relaxing and peaceful family getaway. We can't wait until next year!

A Gem on Lake George
Our stay at Rob and Heather's home was a pure treasure. The incredible views of Lake George and the surrounding mountains will remain with you long after you have traveled home. We spent numerous days kayaking the lake, viewing blue herons, pileated woodpeckers, and osprey. The house is perfect and has everything you need. The lakefront is perfect in every way with a great fire pit and barbecue, topped off with views galore. This home provides the opportunity to be truly one with nature. Communications with Rob were prompt and easy. We happily booked our return trip for next year.

We had a great stay at the house, the views were incredible, and Rob was incredibly quick on communication when we had questions. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying there!

Rob and Heather are amazing hosts . They have thought of, and provided , everything we could possibly need to make our stay at their Lake House literally perfect ! They were available for anything we might have needed, although we needed nothing, and messaged us a few times to make sure all was well.
The view of the lake is postcard perfect!!
We enjoyed the fire pit outside, and also the fireplace inside. We also loved using their kayaks to get a close up view of Rogers Rock ( there were actually a few guys rock climbing up it! )
We have already booked our return stay for next year, and hope for many years to come .

Since 2015, we have been renting vacation houses in every month of every summer and so far this is the best vacation house we have been to. The house is sorrounded by incrediblely beautiful lake with the mountain view. The kitchen is equipped with all necessary items, so many seasoning, great utensils etc. We had fancy breakfast in front the beautiful lake which was a very good experience. There are canoe and kayak provided which was a plus. We went for a little tour for fishing and my brother actually caught some fish 😁😁. In the basement, there is a table tennis court where my husband, brothers and brother in law held a tournament. Beds were very comfortable. Every corner of this house is decorated with its own style. Looking at the lake and the mountain sitting in front the fire pit at midnight and making s'mores was something that can't be described in words. We were so lucky it was full moon 🌝 time during our stay. We already recommended this property to half of my extended family and friends.
Now the host part: Rob is the best host and human being who went above and beyond to make our vacation more enjoyable. He was super responsive to my texts and inquiries. He left a nice welcome gift on the dining table for us. He was very flexible and helpful with check in and check out process. A big hug and hand shakes from me and my family to you, Rob. Thank you so much for everything. God bless you and the property ☺️

Wonderful and relaxing setting, house very clean. Lake fun galore. Quick trip to Vermont for maple syrup, Vermont flannel, cheese curds and Adirondack crafts. And as always, too short a vacation!
Especially appreciated not having to lug up linens and towels.

We loved this property! Of course the lake is so beautiful, but we had the most wonderful spots to sit outside and drink in the view! The house has a wonderful big porch and even has a fireplace there and a good big table and great seating areas. When you are in this home you can enjoy the beautiful mountains from the large windows, it was almost as good as being outside. I would have given all 5 stars but we trouble with water pressure, we had to space out showers and if dishwasher is running you cannot even wash hands. Overall I am planning on going back next year, we will deal with issue because everything else was great.

We had a wonderful time on Lake George. The view from the Adirondack chairs is breathtaking. Our kids enjoyed swimming in the lake and fishing in what they called the “honey pot”, which was right by the buoy near the large rock. The house is in the perfect location and the picture window made rainy days easier to take. The beach down the street is great for younger kids. We had a lovely time on Lake George. Thank you for a great vacation! We hope to visit again.
