Like a rare and resplendent shell on the beach, the newly re-imagined 'The Ocean Oasis' a two-story, direct Ocean front 3,800 square foot home located on prestigious Marlin Drive, stands out among the others on the exclusive Fripp Island with its lovely vaulted-ceiling grand room, lavish kitchen and inspiring ocean-front views.

Built in 1986, 'The Ocean Oasis' underwent a complete transformation just this year and every aspect of the home shimmers with crisp newness. The six-bedroom, five-and-half bath home sleeps 18. Three large master bedrooms, two expansive bunk rooms, and an adjacent bedroom with two Queen-size beds. All within steps of our backyard is the new custom boardwalk to the Ocean.

After working up an appetite golfing at one of the Island’s two heralded golf courses, paddle boarding or dolphin watching on the Atlantic, retreat to the stunning 15 x 18-foot kitchen outfitted to impress even the fussiest gourmet. Entertain or catch a quick snack at the kitchen’s welcoming rich-colored granite island with seating for nine or share a family meal or host a formal gathering in the dining room that seats 14. An outdoor kitchen with a fixed gas grill is available on the screened in porch for laid-back barbecues.

Multiple ceiling fans and three-zone central air ensures that everyone is comfortable throughout the house no matter the coolness of the evening or heat of the mid-day. A large screened-in porch offers a wonderful spot for a little reading or maybe family game night.

After dinner or on that rare raining day, escape to the warm and airy great room to catch a movie on the 80-inch flat screen television or cozy up to the gas fireplace to relive the day’s adventures. A second floor loft overlooks this room and further complements the open style of the entire house.

The main floor’s master bedroom with a restful king-size bed and adjoining deluxe bathroom provides a place for peaceful reflection and absolute relaxation.

The second floor features two additional master bedrooms, with entreating ocean-front balconies where you can soak in the last rays of the day. These rooms, too, offer luxurious king-size beds and all-new deluxe bathrooms with the latest amenities.

Together, the two bunk rooms sleep eight and is a great fun space for tots and teens alike to call home base with a shared bathroom to help wash away all but the memories of the glorious summer days.

The sixth bedroom is furnished with two queen-sized beds with a luxury bathroom. There is WiFi throughout the house, televisions in every room, and a desktop computer for family use.

The property includes 10 amenity cards that are used to grant you access to pools, tennis courts, restaurants and golf courses.

My four adult children and their families gathered with me under one roof for the week in this lovely updated home. It was everything we had hoped for, spacious rooms to accommodate the boy cousins in one room, girls in another and plenty of room for the adults. A game room in the lower level kept the kids entertained. The home accommodated us with privacy as well as many options for seating for conversation and meals. The owner met with us to explain and answer our questions about the house and island. He encouraged us to contact him if we were lacking anything in the kitchen in the way of pots and dishes. The island had enough activities to occupy all ages. We ran 5K race, arts and crafts, pools, shopping, pier fishing, deep sea excursions, T shirt dyeing, golf cart excursions and everything else the island offered. I highly recommend this beautiful home and island.

We enjoyed a weeks stay to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary! This house was perfect! The kitchen was large providing ample room for everyone to help out w/ meal prep. The appliances were amazing and the ice maker was a hit. Grilling are was very nice as well. The bathrooms were fantastic w/ large showers and several water features. The view is breathtaking! First time our family experienced high/low tide. The beach is about 1/4 mile walk. There is a wagon to help haul your beach gear. Tons of beach chairs provided in the storage room under the stairs. Everyone enjoyed the evening golf cart rides to watch the sunset. Gary the owner was extremely welcoming and attentive as well. Overall a fantastic vacation!

Gary was very helpful and a great host! The house was well equipped with everything. Beach chairs galore! The beach isn’t as close to the house as it looks in the pictures, but very accessible by the boardwalk and you can see the ocean from the house. Absolutely perfect and beautiful setting. We will be back!

The property was fabulous. Our family so enjoyed the gourmet kitchen with the huge dining table where we all gathered after a wonderful day on the island. Would have booked for next year but our week had already been reserved. Gary a great host and very attentive to all our needs.

My (large) family and I stayed in this house and had a wonderful time! The house was big enough to accommodate all of us although one of the bedrooms has a wall that doesn’t reach all the way to the ceiling which let in a lot of noise. The house was super clean, had a bunch a places to hang out and the kitchen was spacious and has a lot of great features like extra refrigeration drawers and a separate ice maker (genius)! It is in a great location with the beach a short walk away. The owner was also very responsive and helpful!

The property was wonderful and very well appointed. Gary lives on Fripp Island and was very helpful without being intrusive. I really can't say enough good about this home and the wonderful time our entire extended family had on Fripp Island and at this house. If you are looking for a relaxing time to recharge with family - book this now! We also hired a photographer (Susan McCann) to take family pictures on the lovely beach dunes - I am so glad I did this.

Very nice. Kitchen very well equipped--lots of refrigeration/freezer space. Bikes/golf cart/beach chairs available on the property. Bedrooms each had own private bath with Jack/Jill bathroom between kids rooms. Would highly recommend for large groups.

The house and location were perfect for our large group of four families. The house was beautiful and very well-appointed and had everything that we needed. It was a pleasure dealing with Gary. He was always responsive to our questions and very attentive when we arrived. There are so many things on Fripp Island to keep the kids entertained that we didn’t have one dull moment. We all agreed that was the best vacation we have had and will be booking the ocean oasis if we come back.
