Very clean. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Two bedrooms were upstairs and small spiral staircase. Was not sit conditioned upstairs, but has fans. Spacious living room well furnished. Wonderful location. Well kept yard. Overall, very enjoyable.

There is so much space in this house. Huge kitchen. Large family room. Large living room. Plus many bathrooms and bedrooms. We had more space than we needed but we could stretch out. We liked it so much that the entire group decided to come back here again next year. Wonderful hosts were super responsive to every question.

We held our family Christmas get-together at this comfortable, roomy home. Huge island for all the food and beverage. Beautiful setting on a hill in the woods. Accessible blacktop road. Would highly recommend.

Chickadee Cottage was delightful! It's a charming 'old' home with loads of modern updates that make it very comfortable. There's plenty of space: a huge country kitchen, 4 bedrooms, and additional sleeping space in the basement, 3+ bathrooms, and 3 gathering spaces for TV watching, game playing, conversation, reading, and napping. You're at the top of a hill with a beautiful view of treetops, which was very colorful during our visit in October, and we also had a clear night sky for perfect viewing of a full moon. We loved Chickadee Cottage and would stay again!

My brother & I stayed in Chickadee Cottage the night before and the night of my daughter’s wedding in nearby Rockbridge. What an amazing property! It was beautifully appointed, comfortable and the views from the vista were amazing! Wish I could have another day to recuperate. The coffee & tea service was very much appreciated, too. Highly recommend for a large family getaway.

I have been using VRBO since 2006 and this was one of the best. It was clean, comfortable and came stocked with everything you could possibly need. It was in a very quiet spot near the sites we wanted to see. The grandchildren especially enjoyed all the wildlife that came to visit the large yard.

Went on a trip with friends and this place was perfect for our group of four women. We each had our own bedroom and there were also bathrooms galore. Huge kitchen, nice sitting areas and beautiful views. Close to town but on its own dead end street so very quiet. Owner was easy to contact and very helpful. We rode our scooters (mopeds) around the beautiful hills and valleys of the Richland Center area. Downtown had some good restaurants and shops.

The owners Paul & Therese were very accommodating. Communication was prompt and polite. Overall this was one of the better VRBO stays our crew have experienced and we will be staying here again.

My family and I spent a wonderful week in this house. It was very spacious and clean. The kitchen is big and had everything we needed to cook our meals. The bathrooms had plenty of towels and there was even shampoo and conditioner. The beds were comfortable and I slept like a baby. The hosts respond fast to any questions. I highly recommend staying here.

This property listing doesn’t do the actual property/home justice… it is spectacular and gigantic on this inside. You will feel like you are HOME with plenty of space to sprawl out! Every room and I mean every room invites you to relax! The kitchen is phenomenal, stocked with every glass, dish, bowl and gadget you could possibly need! We brought our own groceries and prepared home cooked meals! You will get a restful sleep, as the beds are comfy and the pillows are fluffed!! The wildlife was breath taking...from the deer right outside of every window each morning, the Cardinals and Blue Jays taking a bird bath in a puddle to the Woodchuck we named Richie (Richland Center), we couldn’t have asked for a more comfortable, like home setting while being tucked away from the hustle! Paul & Therese are incredible hosts, very responsive. They make you feel like family. I could go on and on!! Thank you for helping to make our stay beyond enjoyable, it allowed our family to pause and enjoy every moment of our son’s wedding weekend!

The cottage was just as described. The kitchen is well-equipped, the beds are comfortable, and it was clean. From it's position on a heavily-wooded hill, you don't see any other buildings, or even roads, yet you are less than five minutes from downtown Richland Center. Therese was there to welcome us and show us around. She is friendly and obviously loves people staying at their beautiful house. It is a great place to stay and just relax on the many comfortable sofas and chairs. The kitchen is huge so you can have lots of cooks without getting in each others' way. We had a great time and I recommend Chickadee Cottage whole-heartedlly.

The house us nestled above a neighborhood, but you feel like you're in a bluff. The house was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is huge. Fireplace was a bonus, as well as Netflix, although we only watched for a short time. Plenty of space for a large group. If I had to find a drawback, it would be the spiral staircase to the upper floor. I can't imagine how the furniture was placed, since it was a challenge just to climb the ladder. But we didn't need the area anyway, so not a problem. Will definitely return!! Highly recommend!

The cabin is bigger than it looks! And is a perfect group getaway. Set up on a hill overlooking a beautiful landscape it is wonderful way to spend a long weekend. House is very well stocked with towels, kitchen supplies, coffee, everything you could think of. Just show up and enjoy the stay.
