About this apartment rental
Located on the east end of the island at Scott Beach by Compass Point two minutes walk to the beach. 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, sleep 6, Air condition, Electric Range, Microwave, Granite Counter Tops, Refrigerator, Washer/Dryer, Dish Washer, Dish Network TV' Wifi. Has a large back-up generator (House is fully powered 24/7). Off-street parking, fully furnished. Very quiet, safe and friendly neighbor hood.
Guest access.....
You will have access to the entire unit. You can do your laundry, watch your favorite TV show or sports on a 60" flat screen HDTV. You can cook your own meals, eat out or sit back after a long beach day and do some grilling.
Neighborhood overview.......
The property is located on a private street away from the main highway so there is no traffic noise, every safe and friendly neighborhood, there are 4 houses on my street and I owned two of them, I live in the on across the street so I am always available if my guest need me. It is close to the water only 2 minutes walk to the beach.
Getting around
You can get a taxi to anywhere you need to go on the island but it will be very pricey, I highly recommend renting a car so you can go wherever you want and when you want. We have a family owned rental car business and we offer our guest up to 15% discount on rental cars. Guest can also take our cars to St John on the car barge from Red Hook to visit and explore the beaches and parks in St John.
Other things to note.........
We also have a 125KW automatic generator which is necessary in the Virgin Islands. If you rent a place without a generator and the power goes out you will not have Running Water, Wifi, Toilets, Fans, T.V, Showers, etc.....

The unit we stayed in was a two bedroom and worked out great. There was 5 of us, so my daughter used the pull out. That was what you expect from a pull out couch, but there was an air mattress available. The hosr was very responsive. Loved that there was a cooler and beach chairs for us to use. Property was clean. Having a washer and dryer was a great help. Yhe ac worked great! Hope to visit again!

Wonderful condo, wonderful owner! The place was spotless upon arrival. I would highly recommend this condo. The only drawback was it wasn’t within walking distance to anything. Otherwise, it was perfect for my children and I.

We had a great stay! Our only problem was trying to find the place. We clicked on the google maps link that was provided but it didn’t take us to the condo. The link had us driving all over the place. Dexter was easy to get a hold of and he told us that we needed to actually open google maps and type in “Scott Beach Villas”. Piece of cake after that. Highly recommend renting a car and renting one through Dexter. Very easy to do and so convenient!

Dexter was a great host. The house was immaculate and perfect for our stay with the kids. Safe and clean. They have plenty of towels for beach and shower and make up towels as well as shampoo/conditioner and body wash- also snorkeling gear - beach chairs and coolers. We had already bought all that prior to arriving at our stay unknowingly. But it’s def good to know for the next trip. I will def consider this place again for our next stay. The AC is perfect - TV in living room and rooms. Nothing bad to say about this place - wish there were more like these on the island. Def on the top. Good views also. Thank you Dexter for your hospitality you have a gem with these homes.

Dexter was a great host. The property itself was beautiful and provided beach chairs, a cooler, snorkel gear and plenty of towels. The pool was also super warm and great for a dip!

The property was excellent and VERY clean. I agree with other reviews that driving into the area does look a little sketchy but once at the property, everything was good and we learned from driving around that that is just the way things look on the island. My 75 years old mother and I stayed here and we would not hesitate to stay again. The pool was recently put in and is heated. Just down from the property is Compass Point Marina, which has a breakfast and lunch spot called “An hour late” that we ate at twice. The property is very close to Red Hook but you will need a vehicle to get around, taking taxi’s everywhere will be expensive.

My husband, son and I stayed here for a week over Christmas 2023. We had never been to St. Thomas before so were unsure what to expect. The owner of this property made it simple. The condo was everything we needed with a beautiful view from the balcony.
Dexter (owner) provides all necessities (linens, towels [including beach towels], fully equipped kitchen with tea towels, dish soap, scrubbing sponge, paper towels and garbage bags, ample shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the bathroom. In short, the only thing I might have desired but didn’t have were tissues.
There is a small beach a two minute walk away that rarely has anyone else on it. Getting in the water is a bit of a challenge due to the rocky sea floor, but one becomes more adept each time and it is so worth it to have the beach to yourself.
A grocery store is close (very expensive but extremely convenient).
Red Hook (dining, car ferry) is a short drive away.
Dexter runs a car rental service so we took advantage of this. Someone meets you at the airport with the car, and again at the curbside departure area for its return. Very easy.
In short, we would stay here again if we returned to St. Thomas.

The unit were very nice and as advertised. However, the surrounding area is in bad shape. As we were pulling up to the villas, I was worried I made a horrible mistake with this booking. Luckily, the villa did not match its environment. The villa was beautiful. The manager Dexter was very nice and took time to deal with the wifi issue we had. I had to help but I didn't mind. I could hear his family in the background of every call, that let me know he was stopping what he was doing to attend to our needs. I would definitely recommend his villas.

2nd time staying here. There will be a third, 4th, etc. it is close to red hook, easy to get downtown and elsewhere. Quiet location. Food center grocery is a minute away (although they are EXPENSIVE, go to Pueblo instead).

Beautiful condo with everything you could possibly need. Beautiful view of the ocean bay from the balcony. Dexter the owner is so very accommodating and friendly. We even rented a car through him and it was probably the easiest experience renting a car I have ever had. We will 100% be returning, and will use this host indefinitely.

This villa is exceptional. All amenities listed in the details were available. I literally have zero complaints. The property manager Dexter was available everytime I needed some information regarding the island.
We had a little trouble finding the location (due to Google Maps not being extremely accurate) but once we did, it was very easy to navigate to and from the villa to all the locations we visited.The only thing (which is so menial, I don't know why I'm listing it) is the bathroom did not get cool, but short of that, its a perfect villa. Its extremely quiet and has a good view of Scott Beach.
My wife and kids did not want to leave! I would definitely recommend this property and we will be staying here again when we return to St.Thomas.

We rented both a condo and automobile from Dexter. It was a great experience. The condo is close to fun places to visit like Sapphire Beach and Lindquist Beach. The condo is close to Red Hook which has nice restaurants and shops. Dexter is incredible to work with and very understanding. I messed up my departure time (which has never happened to me before), but Dexter was extremely patient and worked with us. He is a great guy. I would highly recommend that you rent both your condo and automobile through him.

Dexter's apartment was roomy and comfortable. Communication with our host was good. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony for breakfast and in the evening. The roads in the area are a bit challenging, but it was still reasonably easy to get to various locations on St Thomas. Several grocery stores were close at hand and Dexter's recommendations for groceries, restaurants and places of interest were very helpful. Although we had our own masks and snorkels, we appreciated the fact that the apartment had fins and swim towels for our group. There were only a few minor concerns. The water pressure was fairly low, although reasonable in the shower. Additionally, the communal dryer did not work. In total, a comfortable place to stay as a good jumping off place to explore various areas around the island.

From the start to the very end… Dexter, his family and his employees were extremely helpful and attentive… everything in the Villa worked well and we were extremely comfortable. Dexter is a great host. This unit is a very nice 2-bedroom, clean, modern. Close to Red Hook center, near the beach. Please note that this unit does not have a dishwasher and the washer / dryer is shared with the other units in the building. But I didn't need either so no concerns for me. Dexter also owns a Car Rental company. You must have a car, so I highly recommend using his company. He and his staff are very responsive! I would definitely stay here again.

Condo is located conveniently close to Sapphire Beach Marina for sailing and parasailing, beaches for swimming and snorkeling, car ferry to St John, kayaking adventures, shopping and restaurants. Property was spotless and well stocked with the essentials. We enjoyed the view from the third floor balcony! Dexter was extremely helpful when we ran into some travel snags. He is so personable! I immediately felt comfortable with him when we spoke over the phone. You can find fancier locations to stay, but this property was a real bargain for the comfortable accommodations and convenient location!

The property was not at a resort. Instead it was in a little neighborhood that was near a small beach. It felt comfortable and not so touristy. That’s what I liked about it. I could walk down to the small beach and not have to worry about it being crowded.

Dexter is so easy to work with! Be sure to consider renting a car from him. His help with the rental car made our arrival and departure super easy! We enjoyed the freedom to explore the island fully. (Beach chairs as part of the car rental were another added bonus!)
In addition, Dexter is a great resource as far as places to eat and "not to miss" on the island. Our view from Paradise Point, at his suggestion, was a final celebration of the beauty and wonder of St. Thomas before we departed!

My family I stayed for a week, property was clean in a quiet neighborhood.. There is a Supermarket near by its a bit pricy so I would recommend shopping in town.
Our host was very kind only a phone call or walk across the street, offered to let us use their washing machine since the one on site had some issues.
A rental vehicle was also provided for a very very great price compared to others. I would definitely recommended this place to anyone planning to visit the island.
