From here you can dominate the whole area as this is probably one of the highest house in Manuel Antonio. Relax in a hammock on your covered balcony and enjoy pleasant sunsets and Pacific Ocean views. Alternatively wake up to a cup of Costa Rican coffee and watch the sun coming over the Mountains. This unique villa has tropical almond floors throughout the house and is blessed with the best natural light and breeze. This home has a large master bedroom with AC and king size bed and 3 other bedrooms one with queen size beds, Ac , fans and a private balcony . 2 of the bedrooms are smaller. There are 3 balconies to dominate the views all accessible from the living area via quadruple French doors. Should you need 5 bedrooms in Total , we have a guest house which is just a staircase away from the pool area which can only be rented to the same guests using this villa.
Amenities: : We have a pool and a 1000 square foot deck and BBQ which appears to be the 'hang out area' as there is a perfect combination of sun and shade. We also have the possibility of a chef, so for a very competitive rate , enjoy dinner by the pool. Enjoy life as it is suppose to be.

We are not Located in a Gated community but in a neighborhood with other rental villas. The area is safe but at night the street lighting is poor. We do not recommend this villa for groups who want to be in a resort or for families with very young children as the bedrooms are spread apart for privacy. Be aware we also have stairs which may not be ideal for certain guests.

We can’t say enough great things about how amazing our time was here. We came with 5 kids 8 and older. It would be harder with smaller children, but our ages were great! Property was clean, housekeeping was outstanding & house manager was more than responsive. We hired the recommended chef for dinners and one breakfast, and it was worth every penny! We had monkeys every morning, and a beautiful rainbow. Truly paradise.

This house was perfect for our needs. It has it's own pool and right next door is a soccer field. My kids love to play soccer so that was a bonus! Plenty of bedrooms with comfortable beds and nice showers. All cooking utensils and appliances we needed were there. Short walk to many grocery stores and restaurants and only a few minutes drive to Manuel antonio park and beaches. We felt safe with the gated property. We were able to watch monkeys playing on the rooftops and treetops nearby. The host was easy to communicate with and the housekeeper came every day. She did our laundry and folded it all neatly and made up the beds etc. We had a great stay here and feel like it was a great value!

The house was terrific. Beautiful inside and out. I loved the private deck off the MBR (great for reading, a glass of wine during a rainstorm, or hiding from your kids). The house was well stocked, beds comfortable. The location is super - can walk to the grocery store and shops and restaurants. A housekeeper comes daily, and can do some laundry (which was so helpful!) The absolute highlight though was the house manager Naty who was INVALUABLY helpful in booking excursions and giving tips before our trip and while we were there. She was so on top of things and so kind and helpful. Thank you Naty for a terrific stay!

5 BIG Stars from me and my 3 adult kids and spouses. Rooms were great and the space you get made for great evenings of playing games and talking! Plus, the place is big enough to give you some privacy when you need a break from your family. This kept us all sane and stress-free. The views from the house were top notch! From the pool or balconies, you can drink your coffee and watch a pair of Scarlet Macaws soar around the jungle. One evening we were visited by a family of monkeys and a few mornings we had a few iguanas sunning themselves on the roof. The location was great. You can walk to a variety of local restaurants or to the beach with ease. Taxis were also abundant and quick to come pick us up. Our host, Naty, was just the best! Hard to stress how helpful she was in planning this trip and how many questions she answered for me to make this one of the best vacations our family has ever taken. Thank you, Casa Alta! We will be back again one day!

You're very fortunate if you are able to book this place. It was everything we expected and more. Very close to everything and yet we were still able to see a group of white faced monkeys, scarlet macaws, and a toucan on the first day! It is very private and the small pool was great for taking a dip after our daily activities. The layout of the rooms provided maximum privacy. The outdoor table in a covered area was a great gathering place even when it rained. There were a few minor issues (one upstairs shower where it was impossible to maintain the right temperature and some areas of the house got a bit hot), but nothing that was a major problem.
Natalia was amazing to work with and was very responsive. She did an impeccable job of arranging our activities and they all went without a hitch. I would highly recommend using her far all activities. We were promptly picked up and dropped off everyday at our house. All tours were very high quality and the private chef Natalia arranged for an evening was great.
The daily maid service was amazing.
Overall a perfect experience, I would book again without a second thought.

This vacation home was exactly as described. The home was clean. The house manager Natalia was fantastic. She communicates promptly and ensures you have a great time. During our stay, the gas for the stove ran out and within 30 minutes she had someone come to the home to change it. She knows the area and booked last-minute tours for the group. We would stay at this home again.

A great property. Amazing views, balconies, and bedrooms. Our family had a wonderful time staying here. The kids loved the pool and all the nooks, crannies, and levels to the house. We weren't even at the residence more than half of each day and saw so many things - a parade of monkeys, scarlet macaws, iguanas, a local soccer match, and more. This place was in a great location and many restaurants were within walking distance. All the tour places will pick you up from this location.
The hosts were extremely responsive and communicative whenever we had a question. We rated this 5 stars but had a couple quibbles that we just wish were advertised up front... Laundry is not on-site. A maid comes every day (which is amazing!) and does the laundry and folds it and leaves it at the house. This is great for the most part - but if you were planning on being able to do a quick load on your own, you can't.
Lastly, while the residence does have air conditioning, it's not completely under your control. When you leave the residence, the air conditioning units in each room will turn off. The air conditioning unit in the main room will only function from 1300-2200. I will say we visited during the hottest week of the year and I don't think these things would typically be an issue. But, while we were there, the unit in the upstairs bedroom struggled to keep the room cool enough to our liking. We never returned to a cool home, but the bedrooms cooled off very quickly.

Stayed here 12 years ago and came back to this house.. Oliver and his team do a great job! The house is gorgeous and private, the addition of a shaded patio by the pool is great add. We will definitely be going back next year!

Natalie the property host will take care of ALL your needs and questions. Groceries, transportation, excursions... she is just a whatsapp message away. Her responses are SUPER quick too!
The house-- There are 3 levels. 2 bedrooms on 3rd level, 1 next to the kitchen and living space on 2nd level, and 1
on 1st level. All have bathrooms. If you are concerned about stairs, this probably isn't the place for you. The kitchen table only have 4 chairs, but there is a table and 5 chairs outside by the pool. There were 8 lounge chairs by the pool. There is a full kitchen to cook and a BBQ available for use as well.
Location-- walking distance from markets, casual shopping, MANY restraunts, and bus stop to go to the beach or Quepos. The bus price was 385 colones at the time Feb 2024. A taxi can be pricey, but Natalie can get you in touch with a good one.
We had 8 people in our group and flew into San Jose. It is a 2.5 hr drive from the airport. Natalie can get you a private shuttle. You can rent a car....but if you're not used to driving in a foreign country I'm not sure I'd recommend it. There are NO addresses in Costa Rica. Everything is labeled by home/hotel/restraunt name. I'm not sure there is many laws for driving there beside maybe a speed limit.
A chef is available and a maid for laundry. We didn't utilize the chef, but the maid did clean often. She didn't cost but we did leave a tip.

Our family had a great time at this house! Pool was wonderful and Natalia was so helpful in booking excursions and transportation. We saw a sloth right by our house as well as parakeets and toucans. Grocery store and restaurants close by is you don’t mind some hilling walking. Highly recommended!

The house was lovely - just as it appears in the pictures and very clean. Natalia, the property manager, helped with all logistics and even set up activities for us. Tamara, the housekeeper, kept the house spotless and even did our laundry for us. We highly recommend this house for anyone looking for a place to stay in Manuel Antonio!
A few tips - You might want to consider renting a car. Manuel Antonio has narrow roads, lots of traffic, and no sidewalks. The house has a parking space. There are little grocery stores all over Manuel Antonio but they are expensive. The Max Pali store in Quepos is bigger and much less expensive.

Everything about this house was perfect for our family! The pool was refreshing the bedrooms nice and cool and within walking distance to the local bus stop and grocery store and many restaurants. Natalia the house manager was very helpful with information for excursions and transportation.

We has a wonderful stay and the staff went above and beyond to assist us in every aspect. Very clean and the pictures were accurate.
One bit of advice would be that the grocery stores in the area are very overpriced but we learned that there are better options in Quepos, just down the road. The bus will get you there for roughly .80 cents/$1.60 round trip.

Casa Alta is a great accommodation, with a homey feel and all the amenities needed. It's spacious and neat. It could have benefitted with a couple more seats in the living room, as all 6 of us could not sit together inside.

Wow, this house was just amazing and in a convenient location. We had the whole house to ourselves on our honeymoon and felt very spoiled. We saw so much wildlife - monkeys, macaws, parakeets, agouti and more around the house. We were able to walk to most restaurants and shops or get an Uber to the places we couldn’t walk. Natalia was so helpful planning our tours, transportation and grocery shopping. She was very communicative and always there when we needed her. I even wasn’t feeling good one day and she offered to go to the pharmacy for me. We already want to go back and stay here again!

What an adventure our family had in this beautiful area. The beaches were amazing and so many wonderful restaurants. We greatly enjoyed our stay at Casa Alta. The location was perfect-we could walk to several grocery stores and restaurants. The bus stop was a short walk also. To be honest we showed up on a weekend fairly late at night and we weren’t sure about the area. But after exploring in the morning it really is a charming and friendly neighborhood right in the heart of everything you want to be near if you are touring Manuel Antonio or visiting the beach.
You have all the conveniences of the city with the little shops and restaurants around the corner but still surrounded by constant wildlife (parrots, monkeys and birds of every sort) and a beautiful pool in a well manicured courtyard filled with palm trees and flowers.

Our trip to Costa Rica was amazing! This is our second trip to Manuel Antoni but the first time we stayed in a house. Our family of three travelled with a family of five. Casa Alta was amazing and met all of our needs. It was nice how the rooms are setup because everyone was able to have their own space. The pool was perfect for morning coffee and daytime swimming. The biggest bonus is Naty the concierge, we are so thankful to her for all of her help! Sue was able to setup all shuttles, connect us with a taxi driver, schedule day trips and an a home chef, really she can help with anything you need!! While there we visited the beach, the national park, went on a catamaran cruise and a deep sea fishing trip with Jackpot Fishing out of Quepos - highly recommend!!! We caught over 40 pounds of mahi and were able to have it shipped home!!🤩 Great Costa Rican food at Amelios and Aqua Azul and you have to go to Cafe Milagro for coffee!! Another bonus is that the bus stop is steps from the house and you can get around easily for under a dollar per person. Highly recommend this property!

Casa Alta was the perfect house for our reunion of friends. It was well supplied and comfortable. We spent most of out time outside by the pool which was lovely. With all that said the most amazing part of our stay was Natalia the house manager. She was always available and speedy to book any adventure or service we requested. This was a beautiful property in a beautiful town. Natalia was very helpful with our stay. We highly recommend the beach concierge service - it’s nothing we’ve ever done before and was so luxurious for a small price. It’s a bit of a tough house for families with elderly members or very young children - the stairs to two rooms were steep and the floor was very slippery. The master bedroom does have an extra bed in it if you want to keep your youngest close by, though.

Family vacation in Manuel Antonio
Great house in good location to walk to neighborhood grocery store and restaurants. Short drive to beach. House feels like it is very private, with extensive tropical plantings, although it is close to everything. We didn't see any monkeys but we saw and heard many birds. The house manager was very helpful and we had two amazing dinners with a local chef! Would definately stay again!

Family fun for 8 Adults from California
Our family of 8, aged 22-61, three couples and two singles stayed for a week. We loved this house, its spaciousness, the pool, its location, the views and so much more. We loved having the daily cleaning services of Tamara. She does an amazing job. What a treat to have someone else take care of such things while we all got to enjoy our vacation and just relax! We have only positive things to say about Natalia, the property manager. She was helpful, easy going and always available (she assisted with information and location of an urgent care for an unexpected allergic reaction), and other needs like local information and booking of memorable excursions of a lifetime! Our family enjoyed being picked up and dropped off at the house for ATVing, Ziplining, Whitewater rafting and Manuel Antonio Park. The door to door service felt safe and really took the hassle and anxiety out of the usual unknowns. We would definitely stay here again. The quaint town was close and convenient. Pura Vida in Manuel Antonio
We cannot say enough great things about this house! The communication from beginning to end was great. Naty is a gem and made our check in/check out and excursions go so smoothly. Would HIGHLY recommend the Canopy/Ziplining excursion recommended by Naty. It was awesome! We were a total of 8- 2 families with our teens and the house has plenty of room! Great markets and the restaurant down the street called Isla Verde had the best food! We felt very safe walking to the markets, bakery and restaurants just down the street. Tamera came just about every day and this house was SO clean and it was a nice treat to come home to our laundry done! The pool was also nice to cool off. We will be back!

Perfect Location Fabulous Views
Casa Alta was wonderful. The house was great and the location made it perfect! The property manager Natalia was super! She helped us plan the details of our trip ahead of time, and remained helpful to assist our family with coordinating everyday transportation and booking the daily excursions during our stay. We flew Sansa to Quepos, we were met at the airport by our driver, then promptly met by Nataila for an early check in. She gave us a tour of the house, told us everything we needed to know about the house and the area, and continued to remain accessible the entire trip. That goes along way when your in a new place with the family(incl. 5 & 7 y/o kids) in a foreign country. Costa Rica is amazing and Manuel Antonio is the best of it. While we stayed at Casa Alta a rental car was totally unnecessary. There are 3 grocery stores and many of the best restaurants are only a leisurely walk away. The National Park & the best beaches are totally accessible by bus. The bus stop is at the end of the block and passes every 30 mins. The buses are clean, safe, efficient; a great way to experience the area in the local way and only about $1 per person per ride. Casa Alta is top tier in every way. We will be back to stay at Casa Alta again. Hopefully very soon!

Was supposed to be 8 of us ended up being 4 and it was the best trip /stay ever ! The house was phenomenal! Clean ! Beautiful just amazing and the VIEW !! NATALIA is the BEST ! Great communication she took care of us from beginning to end !! I would definitely be back and most definitely recommend!

First family vacation
My family recenty stayed at Casa Alta and it was a wonderful first family vacation. There were a total of 6 adults and 1 baby (11 month old). The house was lovely- had everything we needed. The pool was fantastic and a great way to cool off. I can not thank Natalia enough for being the super star of the trip! She booked all our excursions and transportation to the airport. I feel like there is nothing she can't do 😊. She was incredibly prompt to respond to any question I had and even texted to make sure we got home safely. Another highlight of the trip was Chef Luz. She came to the house two separate nights to cook dinner and the food was delicious, definitely our best meals by far. Thank you again for a very memorable trip!
