Prima plek.

Vriendelijk personeel, ruime kamer, ligging vlak aan het strand v

Helaas is het restaurant gesloten wegens personeelstekort. Betekent ook dat na het ontbijt niemand meer aanwezig is en je ook geen drankje kunt bestellen. Op de kamer staat een koelkastje maar die is niet gevuld. Jammer zou fijn zijn als dat wel het geval zou zijn. Uiteraard tegen betaling.

Prijs-kwaliteit verhouding matig

Ontbijt was prima, voldoende keus en kwalitatief prima! Personeel ook aardig bij het ontbijt. Ontvangst en vertrek knullig geregeld en niet heel warm en vriendelijk

Kamers heel sober, oploskoffie en een aftands waterkokertje. Badkamer echt heel oud met douchegordijn. Zat smaak nog kraak aan. Prijs kwaliteit wat ons betreft daarom wat ver te zoeken, hebben in veel mooiere kamers gezeten voor veel minder geld….

details slordig: tv deed het niet; oude handdoeken; thee niet aangevuld en kopjes niet schoongemaakt; personeel deel van de dag afwezig, enz.

Ontzettend fijn!

Hartelijke ontvangst, relaxed. Goed ontbijt. Goede tips en suggesties . Zorgzaam bij vertrek waar ik echt niet in orde was en het geen probleem was om even langer gebruik te maken van de kamer. Zelfs het retourneren van de eerder gehuurde fiets was geen probleem, dat werd voor mij gedaan, erg lief. Het is een fantastische locatie, erg lieve host en een heerlijk verblijf gehad. Dank je!

Das Hotel liegt ideal in der Nähe zum Strand mitten in den Dünen. Die Distanz zum Ort ist zu Fuß in circa 10 Minuten zu

Die Lage in den Dünen. Das tolle Frühstück. Das sehr nette, Personal.

Genoten van Schier vanuit dit hotel.

Mooie lokatie en sfeervolle ruime kamer met mooi uitzicht.

De kamer was koud bij aankomst, verwarming deed het eerst niet. Restaurant was dicht.

Leuk maar de prijs niet waard

Fijn dat het zo dicht bij het strand ligt

Personeel sprak Engels en kon geen Nederlands. Bij ons hing het sifon van de wasbak los. En de schoonmaak mag iets beter hun best doen, vooral met al het zand wat je meeneemt.

De prijs/kwaliteitverhouding is heel erg uit balans. Voor mij een plek om niet meer terug te komen,

Uitzicht over duin naar zee (op 100 meter) Vriendelijke medewerkers met goede servicegerichtheid.

- De ontvangst vond ik matig. Geen receptie. Deur open, sleutel op de kamer. (contact met de fietsenverhuur op moeten nemen, sleutel en oplader zouden binnen afgeleverd worden. - De kamer is klein. Eén rechte stoel (op een tweepersoonskamer) niet heel erg comfortabel. - Geen plaats om in de avond een boek te lezen. De ruimte met bank was óf helemaal, óf vroeg in de avond niet meer open, donker. Dan maar een boek lezen op bed! - De gangdeur sloot niet goed. De dranger werkte dus niet naar behoren (Volgens mij niet in overeenstemming met regelgeving brandveiligheid) - De kamers zijn erg gehorig, oa door het klappen van de gangdeuren (zonder goedwerkende drangers) - De badkamer erg onder de maat, shabby.: o Smalle uitstap van douche voor/tegen toiletpot. Niet erg hygiënisch. o Scheve stang van douchegordijn. o Lampje heeft geen afdekplaat. o Eén van de doorspoelknoppen werkt niet. De voegen achter het handdoekrekje zijn zwart. Niet gezond, dus. - Laatste avond is het restaurant wederom niet open. (Weer contact met fietsenverhuur opgenomen. Mijn fiets was inmiddels opgehaald, geen diner dus!

Pleasant

Location is perfect, very close to the beach and water activities, also to the center 10-15 min walking. We had a view on light house from our small room. Nice paintings decorated the building, interesting books to read at the restaurant/lobby.

Working hours of the stuff are very short, compliments to the management but super uncomfortable for the guests. Food is very basic, restaurant in front of the hotel offers much better quality for the lower price. Monday and Tuesday restaurant and lobby are closed (except of breakfast ). I left my luggage after check out in the hotel and before taking a boat came back to pick up my belongings… Even light in the toilet was switched off, no stuff available to give me back my bag. Was afraid to ask a cup of coffee ( it was raining outside). Owners saving money on everything, it’s so obvious to the guests. Shower gel strictly 1 small jar per day for a room with 2 adults…

That we could not enjoy to sit on tarras., in the afternoon or evenings because hotel was close . And it was not possible to eat in the evening.

Very good

Situated right behind, and partially on, the dunes, the hotel is unique for the island: cross over the dunes and you are on the beach. To get to the ocean itself, however, is still quite a hike, as the beach, especially at low tide, is more like a vast bleak expanse... Liked the food: limited dinner menu, well done, surprising vegetarian options next to traditional steak and fish. Solid breakfast buffet, lunch available. Stylish bare dining room, lots of light, and a nice corner with large sofa's to relax, or pick a book from the exchange library.

Rooms are rather tight, dominated by a large bed. On my own, traveling light, this did not pose a problem, but I can image that a couple with luggage may find it hard to get organized.

Very overpriced hotel!

Beautiful location,very friendly foreign staff that did very much their best!

Very overprized! Cheap decoration,it was very hot and even in the most expensive room there was no fan or aircon and with the windows open we were very bothered with all the mosquitoes. Breakfast only started at 8.30 and was quite poor,only boiled eggs,some cucumber and tomatoes,bit of cheese and some muesli, I mean for the price we pay,unbelievable! We had the penthouse with 2 bedrooms.One bedroom the bed was not made and there was a lot of dirt under the bed.No towel by the toilet,plastic flowers in the window.An iron board that looked like an animal ripped it! The owner had an arrogant attitude and my impression was that with a cleap fix they want to make a lot of money from a hotel with a lot of potential! We live in South Africa and I would advise the owners to travel there and stay in a hotel a 10th of there price to experience what a proper hotel room should look like! The photos of the hotel on advertising does not do justice to reality! We heard from locals and other guests also complaints! We loved Schiermonnikoog, but next time definitely not in this hotel!

Marvelous place

The overall hotel experience was very lovely. The location was ideal and even though the hotel rooms were a bit old and not the best design, they were in great condition and clean. Beautiful place for dining. Fabulous breakfast and so welcoming staff. I had one of the most inresting and tasty burgers. And we did not have problem with chaning our dates which I booked incorrectly by mistake.

Not so good was responsivnes for our message on booking and than the menue was only in Dutch, but that was the case for whole Island. For foreign tourist was not very easy in this way.

Beautiful stay at Hotel om de Noord

Friendly staff, personal breakfast "buffet". The one dinner we took in the hotel was superb. Location is excellent, with a great view of the sea. Also the elevated terrace was nice.

During the 2 days that the kitchen was closed for lunch and dinner, also the sitting room was closed.

Weekend getaway

The location was great. The restaurant serves good food in a cozy atmosphere while the terrace was perfect for afternoon drinks. Excellent staff!

Perfect location for a relaxed holiday!

The location was superb! It was exactly what we were hoping for. The view from our room out over the dunes was spectacular and the beach-y vibe of the room made us feel very comfortable. It was located far enough out of the town but close enough and easy enough to bikes everywhere. The restaurant menu provides for most dietary needs and has a great drinks/wine/beer list. Beautiful landscapes together with wonderful friendly service in a relaxed and laid back hotel made for a perfect summer holiday! We were also so excited to see a live jazz band out on the terrace playing in the late afternoon sun, part of their summer jazz program. Super!

The bathroom could have a little upgrade but otherwise it was perfectly adequate. The breakfast was simple, well presented and catered for most tastes but could do with more fresh fruit. The restaurant provided a small and satisfying menu but lacked consistency from day to day.
