About this house rental

This holiday home has generous decks on three sides accessed by sliding doors, ideal for indoor/outdoor living. Situated on 3 acres of native trees and shrubs, this creates an ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of city living.
Our holiday home stay has five bedrooms, three with queen beds, one with a king single and a single bed and one with three single beds. All have quilts and pillows, but we do require that guests bring their own sheets, pillow cases, towels and tea towels. Extra pillows and blankets are stored in the bedroom cupboards. There is a fully equipped kitchen, dining and living area. One bathroom has a shower over the bath, vanity unit, hand basin and toilet. The second bathroom has a shower, vanity and toilet. There is a separate laundry with a washing machine and trough, with direct access to an undercover clothes line and outside fish cleaning sink. The large outdoor setting and gas barbecue on one of the multiple decks provides the perfect spots for relaxing and enjoying an evening meal. The mozzie zapper guarantees your comfort and serenity. The wood heater can be used to warm the shack.
The three acre property is fully fenced (ring lock), providing your dog with ample space to run and play. A fenced enclosure on the deck enables you to go out and leave you dog in a safe and restricted area with kennel and dog beds. We would prefer dogs to be kept outside particularly if wet and sandy.
Before guests leave, we do ask that you leave the shack in a neat and tidy condition.
With Nine Mile Beach being only a five minute walk and a further 25 minutes to Swansea you can spend a pleasant afternoon exploring this peaceful seaside town. Swansea also offers a golf course, exercise park and playground. Kate's Berry farm, wineries, Metus and The Lost Falls, Lake Leake (trout fishing) , Bicheno Wildlife Park, Freycinet National Park (Wineglass Bay) and Coles Bay are all within fifteen to forty five minutes drive.

10 mins from Swansea, 5 mins to beach is this lovely holiday home. Big in size big in character. Everything was as listed and house was clean. Ample wood supplied for a great food fire which was set on arrival all it requires was a match. Only one tiny negative is windows require blinds but as I noboggy

This was our fifth stay at Serenity as a family. We love the relaxed house and the laid back vibe of Dolphin Sands / Swansea. The house has most things you need for a relaxed beach holiday!

We had a great time at Dolphin Sands, Dallas’s house is wonderful and looks even better than the photos. Plenty of space inside with several different options to sit down, and plenty of chairs. Would be even better if linen was provided - make sure you bring your own tea towels, bath hand towels etc. All in all a great new years with four other couples who all fit comfortably.

We rented serenity for 8 days for a family gathering. although it’s stated in the description and we were fully aware … the one bathroom with the toilet inside that area was grossly inadequate . We had 8 adults & even though the house slept 11 … I shudder to think of morning ablutions with that amount of people in the house as we did struggle with that aspect . The house is basic , beds comfy and great outdoor space. . The kitchen although tiny was functional . We did have a fridge that leaked water and the washing machine had no cold water option . Despite all this , we did enjoy ourselves . Bad phone reception and would benefit from WiFi availability or perhaps a dvd player for when the weather was bad . Would I come back ? Probably not for a family gathering but for 4 or less people yes .

This beach house is a perfect getaway on a natural bush block close to a stunning beach. The house has everything you need to be comfortable and relaxed. There was a great selection of seating on the large wrap around deck. We all absolutely loved our stay. Thankyou

Overall it was a very pleasant experience, but given it was a very hot day on arrival we found there was no air conditioning and very few windows and doors with screens. We think these items would be a very welcome addition to this property.

This was a place for us to refuel. With space around us, a deserted beach, great shells and driftwood treasures. Lots of chess time with the kids, and oysters from Melshell. Found an incredible art gallery just up the road, King's, and purchased some beautiful pieces. Was just what we needed to farewell the dreary winter and welcome spring. Thankyou for having us.

This was my extended family’s third stay at Serenity House. We love the easy access to a practically deserted beach. Dolphin Sands has a nice relaxed feel to it, and is a great base for day trips to Swansea, east coast wineries, Freycinet and Bicheno We can’t wait to come down again in 2023

The property is spacious and very comfortable and provided everything that we required for our stay. There was plenty of space outdoors for the children and dogs to run freely, to enjoy their play and for the children to ride their bikes safely on the property. The property is just a short stroll to the beach which was the highlight of our stay. We will definitely consider returning to this property.

This spacious house is about 100 m walk away from the beautiful Nine Mile Beach. The house is well appointed in terms of finish and furnishings and well maintained. There are 3 double bedrooms, and 2 other bedroom with two single beds per room - so very flexible for different groups. Also, very dog friendly (fully fenced yard). There is very little through traffic along the road and the home is set back far enough that you can barely see the road or hear traffic. Conversely, there are masses of birds and lots of interesting bird talk. Very friendly and courteous dealings with owner. The house also has expansive covered deck areas but with different alcoves so that people can all sit together, or find a quieter more private space , but the deck areas are accessible from three sets of food in the main living space of the house. Highly recommended for larg(ish) groups of people

We shared a very relaxing 5 days and of course my dog had a wonderful time on the magnificent beach which we had to ourselves added to which the convenience of it being only approximately 8minutes drive, the surroundings of shack was very quite and with the sound of a variety of birds very enjoyable.
