Charming Historic House in Downtown Mystic
About this house rental
Wonderful 1770 built cape with views of the Mystic River. Five minutes walk to Historic Mystic Seaport, five minutes walk to the numerous restaurants, bars and shops on Main Street. Five minutes drive to Mystic Aquarium and Olde Mystick Village. Just ten minutes drive to the nearest beaches and twenty to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun casinos. There will be accommodation for 8; two in ground floor master, 2 in upstairs queen bedroom, 3 in upstairs bedroom with full-sized bed and twin, and also a very comfortable pull out sofa in the open-plan living area. Please note, the stairs to the upstairs bedrooms are quite steep. Please notify owner of intent to bring a pet-there will be an automatic $500 charge taken from the deposit for unapproved pets.

We had such a great time. You can walk right into town. The aquarium was a short distance away. The house was beautiful. Great kitchen living area.

We could not have enjoyed our stay more. This house is so comfy and quaint, and the amenities and extras they provide made for a truly memorable time. We will definitely come back to this one! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had a great weekend stay here. The house was very clean, beds were comfortable, the house is well equipped and close to all Seaport has to offer 5 minutes away! Very much Ed enjoyed it. I would highly recommend, Bravo, Bravo restaurant, The Engine Room Happy Hour, and all downtown Seaport has to offer! The hosts James and Wendy were very easy to communicate with!

Family get together at this charming house. Great gathering area for playing board and card games. Open Kitchen is well appointed and great for cooking and chatting. The location is lovely too with walkable distances to shops and seaport. But not too busy when we were visiting (winter). Host responded promptly to our questions.

Loved this spot in Mystic - great location, great house, and living in CT, before coming I didn’t realize how GREAT Mystic is. Well appointed house, easy to find good dog walking routes, and VERY close to EVERYTHING. Would definitely stay again, and hope to make this a yearly tradition.

The house is in an excellent location where you can easily walk to many shops, restaurants & activities. The house was perfect for connecting with family & friends … we enjoyed grilling in the backyard and making s’mores. The house is very clean & comfortable and had absolutely everything you would need … from beach chairs, towels, kitchen, bathroom and laundry supplies. The hosts were excellent with communicating and instructions. We look forward to staying there again in the future.

The host was very responsive to every question. The house is one of the oldest in Mystic-it maintains its charm. It was clean, but had an old “musty” smell that we considered part of its character. The location was perfect! It’s on a beautiful street just a short walk to restaurants and shopping and waterfront. We had a great stay.

We had a nice vacation. House was very clean, kitchen was well stocked and it was a short walk to town. Back yard was nice for relaxing in our down time. Owners were very nice to work with. We would definitely stay here again!

Wendy & James were the perfect host. Great communication during booking and logistics for checking in. Their home is beautiful and so much larger than it looks in the pictures. I like to cook and the kitchen was fully loaded with everything you could think of needing. Beds were extremely comfortable. Location is perfect for leaving your car parked at the house and walking around Mystic.

This unique cottage was in a perfect location for us to visit family in Mystic. Our hosts have done a great job restoring this old home while keeping its charm. Our family was very comfortable and enjoyed our stay very much. We hope to return.

A beautiful accommodations for our short stay. Easy to walk to most of the restaurants and things to do in the area/downtown. We didn’t get to use the backyard but the space is set up for a perfect summer evening. Recommend staying here.

We had a quick overnight stay as we were in town for our College Roommate's surprise birthday on Mason's Island. The place was adorable, very clean and beds comfortable too. We were there just for a night to crash after the party so we were not able to truly enjoy all the amenities. Would definitely go back, especially when we have time to explore the town of Mystic!

Can’t tell you how much we enjoyed staying at Wendy & James’ place in Mystic.
The house is historic, dating back to 1770, but everything inside is beautiful and comfortable. We really loved our time hanging out inside the house itself.
You are just a 5 minute walk from downtown (and the walk is on a beautiful street). Really everything one could ask for in a Mystic Weekend.

We stayed for only one night. The intention was to paint wine glasses (originally we were supposed to do this in 2021). Unfortunately, I forgot to check the paint, which of course, dried out. So, we ended up sitting around, drinking wine, laughing and having fun. The house was very cozy, comfy. We walked into town to window shop. Very nice!

We were very pleased with this beautiful, quaint property. It was clean and well maintained. There was a lovely welcome note, cookies and bottle of sparkling water upon our arrival. The notes/tips throughout the house were helpful. Best of all, the location was perfect walking distance to the downtown.

This historic home is spacious and updated and set close to the town center and the water. We had a lovely family weekend enjoying all that Mystic has to offer. The house has a great back yard with a fire pit and we enjoyed a lovely autumn evening under a clear moonlit sky!!!

Although this renovated 18th-century cottage is on a busy street and occupies a small patch of yard between 2 larger houses, the convenience of the location is hard to beat. It's an easy, 10-minute walk to Mystic's charming downtown, and waterfront kayak and paddleboard rentals. Also a good location for biking around the town's many charming coastal areas, including the Mystic River estuary, various penisulas and salt marshes. House has good if noisy air-conditioning, laundry room and kitchen appliances. Beach equipment is in good shape. Landlords are pleasant and helpful.

The house was perfect for our family of five. The first floor layout enabled us to chat, play games, and cook lovely meals together. The outside space is comfortable and fun to hang out in the hammock. And the house is so close to the seaport an easy walk away. Finally, James and Wendy were so responsive and helpful. Can't wait to go back

Great Location
The location was perfect for walking to the Seaport and Downtown. Both distances were very doable for our kids (5 and 7) and it was perfect for walking our dogs to get ice cream without worrying g about them getting too hot (it was a very hot week). We would stay here again with no question.
