Great stay, lovely property
My wife and I have just checked out after a five day stay at this apartment. We have nothing but praise for the whole experience. The flat is clean ,
warm and comfortable and has everything you might need for a holiday in New York. The subway is a 15 minute walk away - or a short hop on the bus if you have an unlimited metro card - my wife and I are both disabled and the stairs were a bit difficult - we managed though. Vasili and his wife were wonderful hosts and very helpful. The cupcakes on arrival were also a lovely touch. I hope we will be back to see New York again and we would happily stay here.

Ditmars Astoria gem
Quiet, cozy getaway in the middle of charming bustling urban neighborhood. Easy walk to the subway (N and W), grocery, at least 5 gourmet restaurants and countless casual eateries and bars. This is our second stay at this property and Vasili is a wonderful host.

Great apartment in lovely area
We stayed as a family group of 5. The apartment is spacious and well equipped. The hosts are lovely and were welcoming and easy to talk to. The immediate area has plenty of shops and restaurants and the subway is only a ten minute walk. Subway into central manhattan only takes around 20-30 mins. A really enjoyable week and would recommend to others.

Perfect place to stay in Queens for a group of 4-6
The unit is uniquely fit right into the Ditmars-Astoria neighborhood of Queens, NYC. And I mean REALLY, literally, uniquely fit. It has one sister unit next door that is actually connected (doors are locked in between), but outside of that is small local businesses everywhere! You take one foot outside, and the neighborhood feels perfectly New York, w/o huge skyscrapers like Manhattan.
Vasili was an incredible host, and was always helping us out when we needed to call. I could not find the check in instructions on the app, so I had to call Vasili, but it seemed more like an issue from the development of the application. Plus, Vasili answered right away and we were able to get in quick!
The place is clean and VERY spacious. Has a very modern feeling inside as well.

Great space in a terrific neighborhood
I was here with my daughter for a summer camp for two weeks. We actually rented this part of the rental and a floor above which had two bedrooms, bathroom, larger kitchen and living space so we only used the property shown for sleeping and another bathroom. First, this is located in the heart of Astoria, you step out to bars, restaurants, grocery stores, among many other amenities, including the laundromat close by which we used. it is a safe and family neighborhood where we quickly established a regular coffee shop stop on our way to the subway station which is about .4 mile but we are used to walking so it didn't take long. We came home late at night from shows to a bustling crowd and always felt safe. I was also pleased with how easy it was to check in with the lock box and I always received a quick response from the owner to my questions. For the downstairs space shown, there is a largeish bathroom, a pull-out sofa bed which could fit two young children but not two adults and a bed a back that could sleep two average adults. there was also a pack and play for a baby. The tv worked great and we were able to log on to netflix, hulu, etc. It is located on a bustling street but is very quiet downstairs. If you are only staying downstairs there is a very tiny kitchen but because of all the great restaurants, we usually ate out even if we could cook. Would definitely stay here again.

Steinway Apartment
We enjoyed staying at this apartment & was a short walk -6/7 mins from Ditmars Bvld station. You always got a seat as this was the end of the train line. Allow for station upgrade work at weekends this summer! So handy to get into Manhattan each day.A blind for the front door would be good for privacy. There’s quite a lot provided-bed linen, towels, kitchen dry ingredients, fridge had pizzas in it. Good availability of hot water. The owner communicates v well by email & answers queries efficiently.. Very good choice. 😀

Great place and location in Queens
Great place to stay in a quiet neighborhood. Spacious and comfortable. A screen for the front doot would be the only suggestion otherwise could see all the way to the back from the street.

Fabulous location
Me and 3 girlfriends rented this property for 9 nights. We had an amazing time. The apartment is spacious, clean and had the basics for cooking, showering, etc. If we ever had questions Vasili was very quick to answer.
We highly recommend this place and the neighbourhood of Astoria. It was a great haven after spending a day in the city and the subway is not far from the apartment. Astoria has plenty of shops, restaurants and bars nearby as well.

The place was very good. Only one of the showers takes time to warm the water, but everything else is very good! Highly recommended!

The place is beautiful, spacious and absolutely spotless. The neighborhood has great shops and many great restaurants. Nice walk to the subway. Allows you the chance to check out the neighborhood.

Great apartment
This apartment is perfect for visiting New York. It’s a short walk to the subway station which takes you into Manhattan. There are lots of restaurants and bars nearby also. The apartment is well equipped with everything you would need. Communication with the owner is easy and nothing is too much trouble. If visiting New York we would definitely stay again.

Really clean and very hospitable owners
We absolutely loved our stay in this home! The house was very clean and it had everything that we needed to function for our one month stay. The town of Astoria was quaint and everything that we needed was within walking distance which was nice. We also could not ask for nicer hosts! They responded to any inquiry that we had with lightning speed and they even brought us some goodies from the cutest little bakery on the strip (Martha’s bakery- you should check them out too!) I would recommend this place to anyone who is in the market and we hope to be back ourselves in the future!

Great Location, very thoughtful owners! Great space for family gathering!
We were looking for a place close to NYC in a nice neighborhood, and we found the ideal place. The layout of the place was great, very clean, lots of space and decor was eclectic. Owners were very accommodating and nice! They brought us a tasty cake from a local bakery. Speaking of the neighborhood, it was perfect! Many great restaurants within walking distance on Ditmars. Everything you need is within a short walk including the train to the city. Ditty’s is a nice nightclub spot for late hangout. The bathroom is a little tight, but plenty of hot water for the 7 guests. Parking is difficult to find on the street, but I would suggest using the Parking Lot on Steinway and 20th Ave., the rates were reasonable and it’s a five minute walk to the unit. Overall, you can’t beat this place if you are looking for a family outing or just a place to hangout with friends with quick access to city, restaurants, bars with a very friendly neighborhood vibe. You will not be disappointed!

Excellent stay in Astoria
This apartment perfectly accommodated our group of 4 adults, 3 teenagers and one child. The unit was clean, spacious and included all the comforts of home. There are numerous restaurants, bars, grocery/retail stores and a park nearby. The train is conveniently located and only a short walk away. The owner is extremely accommodating and he quickly responded to my questions. Communicating with him was a breeze. He was even kind enough to welcome us with a delicious marble pound cake that my family enjoyed throughout our entire stay. All in all, this experience made for a memorable visit to NYC!

Amazing place
We visited NY for thanksgiving and had an amazing time. The owner greeted us and was very helpful. He even bought us a pie. The pictures do this place no justice-it’s absolutely beautiful. You’re a 5 min walk to the train station, parking on the Road was free, the grocery store is open 24 hrs , bars and restaurants are all in walking distance. The owner is very nice and has a great personality. The beds were very comfortable and the place was very clean. We will definitely stay there again when we come back. Do not second guess your stay here-it’s a must!

Big space in ⭐️Queens⭐️
We loved this place, there’s plenty of room for a small group or a family, we were 3 friends on a weekend getaway, we stayed on the main floor, and basically only slept there, the place was quiet, never heard any noise, and would definately consider staying again, The only thing I’d like to see changed, were the blinds on the front door, and maybe an additional lock from the inside, it’s a great neighborhood everyone is really nice the apartment is really clean, the huge table was beautiful, the furniture was well maintained, plenty of space for everyone to relax, all the basics of home from kitchen to bathrooms to beds, everything was great🌟 thank you💫

My girlfriend, her sister's family and I live in Rockaway, which was hit hard by Hurricane Sandy. My girlfriend's sister and her family had lost everything except the clothes on their backs, and we eventually all had to find somewhere else to stay for a while because we didn't have power, heat or hot water and the area was a disaster. It was very difficult to find a place where we could all stay, either together or separately, which included 2 teenagers, 1 bouncy 3 year old, and a cat. Fortunately we found Vasili and Beatrix's lovely place. They said given our circumstances they would be more than happy to take us, including the kids and the cat. They made us feel very welcome and were very gracious hosts, making sure we had whatever we needed.
The place is lovely and very spacious, and we loved that there were 2 floors (my girlfriend and our cat took the bottom floor to ourselves). The beds and couches were comfortable, and there were plenty of extra pillows and blankets. The area is great too, lots of great places to eat and stores to get groceries nearby. The only thing that I would have looked for is some dresser space, which isn't a problem unless you have an extended stay. This was a great place to rent especially for larger groups, and we highly recommend it.
Thank you again Vasili and Beatrix for helping our family survive through a difficult time.

We were scheduled to come up next week (ignore the arrival date posted). But Hurricane Sandy gave us some issues. I asked to reschedule. He said "fine". Another day, I said never mind, we can come. He said , "Fine." Then, another day, I told him we have to reschedule. Once again, he said, "Fine." He is so nice and friendly to deal with. He was so understanding about our circumstances due to the hurricane. This is a good and decent man to deal with. I personnaly find that important when you are trying to pick a person to rent a house from. I look forward to when all of our issues due to the hurricane are resolved, and we can enjoy a nice time in his beautiful home.

My family of 10 (!!) came to experience New York but spent over half of our 5 days in Queens around the corner from the apartment on Ditmar street. We had kids who could be sent down to the roomy lower level of the apartment (yes, 2 floors!) while the adults could enjoy the upper level in peace - try that in a suite (never mind a room) in a hotel in Manhattan. This place is immaculate and comfortable - it is truly a home-away-from home, which was reinforced with welcoming treats from Beatrice and Vasili. If you absolutely must be on Manhattan....well, there's nothing I can say here to convince you, but consider that the subway is a few blocks away (you will have to get past the distracting shops, restaurants and bars on Ditmars however!), and you're in the City in minutes.Would my family come back here? - in a New York minute! This is our second stay at the apartment. We will definitely return as the apartment is in the middle of everything (food, stores, bars, subway) but is roomy and quiet at the same time. It is also very close to Manhattan.
Vasili and his wife who own the apartment are great hosts. It was too bad we didn't see them this time.
We definitely recommend this rental for anyone looking for a reasonably priced and comfortable stay in New York City.

My Family and I (9 of us, three children and 6 adults) booked this rental for a week and we were very satisfied. Vasili and his wife were very friendly and helpful. Whenever we had a question they were super helpful and also we want to say a big thanks for the taxi service Vasili recommended to us for our trip to the airport. They were on time and very friendly. The apartment was clean and just like the pictures. It was really nice to have a comfortable place to come home to at the end of a long busy day.
The neighborhood is great. We enjoyed walking around in the evenings when it wasn't quit so hot and checking out the little shops. We all felt completely safe and never had any issues walking to and from the metro station.
There are a lot of little grocery stores (near the subway station there is also a nice little organic market) and restaurants around the neighborhood as well. We highly recommend Martha's Country Bakery a block or two away from the apartment. Very yummy.
We would recommend this property highly and would happily stay here again.

The apartment was very nice, clean in a nice quite neighborhood. The apartment is perfect for a big family. The owners were very nice and they made sure our stay was comfortable. The only thing I would say for the owner is to get some dehumidifiers because the apartment is very humid, just like the rest of N.Y. I'm sure, but it would have made the stay a lot more pleasant. I am so happy and grateful that we booked this place. I had several friends visiting NYC and needed a place that was comfortable, close to the city, and wheelchair accessible. This was the perfect spot. The decor was stylish and modern, the rooms were enormous, and the location was ideal. Vasili was always a pleasure to deal with whenever we had questions, as were the neighbors! Thank you so much!

The owner, Vasili was charming and very helpful, pointing out local places to eat and shop. My family and I - 5 of us stayed for one week. It was a lovely apartment, very well apportioned. We were able to cook in several nights, having shopped in the local (walking distance) market. Delicious restaurants and bakeries were also within walking distance. It was very convenient to get into the City by subway. It was also convenient for us to visit family and friends on Long Island. Astoria is a wonderful neighborhood with restaurants, shops, beergarten, Astoria Park, hookah bars, as well as neighborhood bars and social clubs.
It felt like home. I plan on returning with friends this summer.

We made our first trip to NYC for the World Police & Fire Games, we traveled by car into the city the same weekend that Hurricane Irene threatened to destroy NYC area. Thank God she did not and we were able to still make our trip ! There were some delays with the games and such but we had a great time! WONDERFUL!! This convenient and lovely space was perfect for our first visit to NYC! We felt safe and found it very easy to get around and found Astoria to be the perfect place logistically! The townhouse was clean, modern and comfortable. The local area was lovely with lots of little shops, restaurants, cafes, etc. Thank you Vicilli and family!!!! You were all wonderful and we will be back for sure!!!!
