Our family enjoyed a long weekend to celebrate a couple of birthdays. The view was beautiful, the house was big, open and perfect for our small gathering. The game room downstairs was a bonus.

This house was just perfect for our family to gather, cook some meals together, let the kids play, and get some time in a kayak on the beautiful water. Great swimming weather during our week too!

The whole family loveeed staying here! Kids were extremely excited with the bunk bed room, which had lots of space. Those balconies with the views are just splendorous! The Kayak, tv, comfy sofas are def a plus; only down side is we didn't get to live here for the rest of our lives!!!😂 100% recommended!!

Even though this was booked through VRBO, the host is Vacasa and they try to get you to use their portal - but it's not easy to set up since it wasn't booked directly with them. I would message through VRBO and would not hear back half the time.
Check-in was not great, our party arrived at 4pm but the cleaner was there until 5pm. To add, they didn't do a thorough clean, very messy floors, had to unload the dishwasher, tons of small flies stuck to the stove lights.
House itself is quite nice, but:
- There was a hole in the middle of the deck, big enough for a kid's foot to fall through
- Railing was very wobbly and did not feel safe at all
- One of the screen doors leading to the patio was completely busted - does not retract/move
- Half the outlets in the house did not work
- They list the house as having AC, but it's only on the main floor and basement, the top floor has none and was very hot the first night
- No extra garbage bags, just the ones that were already on the bins
Communication:
- When I'd get in touch with Vacasa, they would tell me local staff would contact me and that never happened
- When asking about issues with the house, the reps at Vacasa had no clue how to help
The Pros:
- Beautiful view
- 2 kayaks that were fun to use
- Lots of towels & toiletries
- Decent amount of cutlery, dinnerware & appliances
- Kids loved the bunk bed room

This was our first time to come to Washington and chose this location to be close to a friend we were visiting. We were impressed with the house. It was spacious. The beds were comfortable and clean. We slept great.
We enjoyed the wildlife with the bald eagles flying overhead all day, the seals and dolphins in the water, and starfish on the shore when the tide went out. The kayak was nice to use but make sure to bring steady water shoes or tennis shoes as the barnacles and oysters are very sharp and will slice skin easily. Bring bandaids.
The showers are nice and hot and have great water pressure. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.

Beautiful home and view is stunning. Location is peaceful and the lake is calm. We harvest oysters in the front.
*** HORRIBLE kitchenware. Everything is rusted, burnt, and doesn't work. I suggest bring EVERYTHING you need to cook with as well as your own coffee machine.

We spent Mother’s Day weekend on a family trip here and LOVED the location and the size and makeup of the house overall. Eagles and seals were out all weekend and the beach was gorgeous. Really great spot for a large group wanting to relax together. Lots of seating inside. Decks on every level, and every room except the bunk room has a view!
There is no place to unpack or hang clothes in the rooms or bathrooms though so expect to live out of your suitcase on the floor. The entrance to the neighborhood is also very steep, kind of an hairpin turn, and easy to miss. Be careful and vigilant upon arrival.
Overall this was a great stay and we would consider this house for a future stay.

Loved the property and the views. The home is beautiful. Only thing we didn’t like was that blankets and other items were dirty and there was pet hair everywhere. The room also smelled like urine.

A great time was had by all!

This house provided an excellent setting for a quiet weekend of puzzling, drinking, and listening to music. The waves lapping on the rocks directly below the bedroom windows was a peaceful sound to hear each morning.
The strong suit of this house is that it provides an excess of lounging space. Enough for 4 people to sprawl out either upstairs or downstairs. The main weakness was the dearth of cookware which was an impediment as my group cooked family-style meals every morning and night for 3 days.
4.0
Overall, this was a fantastic place to stay. The layout of the house was perfect for our group of 9. 3 bedrooms upstairs and a bunk room on the main floor with 4 large bunks. There were 2 bathrooms upstairs and 1 on the main floor. There’s also a large downstairs area with a huge sofa and large TV.
The location is wonderful – I can imagine how fun it would be to kayak or paddleboard on a nice day.
With that said, there are some issues that should be addressed.
It’s a very nice house but things are falling apart. Cleanliness was ok, but it hasn’t seen a deep clean in quite a while. The kitchen was the main area of concern. The electric skillet doesn’t work. The skillets for the stove are warped so barely work on the glass stove top. No cookie sheets. No glass wine or cocktail glasses – just plastic or metal. Only 6 bowls for dining. There’s no toaster. Just a toaster oven that barely works. 1 measuring spoon. Only 1 measuring cup. The dishwasher is about to fall out of its housing. The bottom drawer of the oven doesn’t close. The paper towel holder is about to break. Bring your own plastic wrap, baggies, aluminum foil, or cooking spray.
It seems like the owners could reinvest some of their profits into addressing those items above – it wouldn’t take much. But, for the price we paid, we expected a higher quality experience.
I would love to stay here again but will be packing my own kitchen stuff.

This is a beautiful home in a wonderful location, right on the water. The house is modern, spacious, clean, and well-stocked. We had 6 adults and 4 kids and there was PLENTY of room for everyone. The main floor is so spacious and made a great headquarters for playing games, eating, and enjoying family. The kayaks were so much fun as well. I would definitely stay here again!

Can’t beat the location! If you plant to cook and eat in the house I recommend bringing what you need. The kitchen is not very well stocked gear wise.

The Brinnon beach house was a fabulous getaway for our three generation Father’s Day weekend! There were plenty of inside activities available during the rain with enough elbow room for fun, recreation, and/or quiet relaxation for everyone inside the three story home. Yet you’re a few steps away from seclusion walking on the beach, kayaking in Hood Canal, or a short car ride to hike in the Olympic Peninsula or dining in Brinnon.
One of my favorite times was sitting on the expansive deck watching the Bald Eagles fly by within a few feet, circle above the water, dive to catch their prey, and then fly a short distance to perch in the nearby trees. The home came with a small telescope that made viewing eagles and seals spectacular.
There was plenty of room for nine of us and our dog. The beds are comfy and there’s plenty of hot water to go around in the morning, and the washer and dryer came in handy during our 5 day/4 night stay.
The regional property director, Leslie, was a great communicator. She responded quickly to my inquiries, and was extremely helpful in making our stay comfortable.
We enjoyed this beach house and area so much we’ll be booking it again next year.

The views are amazing! Every day we saw bald eagles flying by and a few seals popping their heads out. Tons of water bids floating around during our stay. We loved the beach and sat in the sun for several hours on one day. Enjoyed a short hike and ate oysters and chowder at Hama Hama.
We did have a few issues and managed to deal with them without much disturbance to our vacation. The dish washer was full when we arrived. Not really a problem but annoying that we had to put things away. There was no propane in the tank for the bbq so we cooked hamburgers inside rather then on the grill. When we went to have a fire in the fire pit, there were no matches. There were two lighters but they didn’t have any fuel. Thanks to the neighbors next door we got things going and enjoyed roasted marshmallows.
We really did love the location and it is a fun house! You can’t beat the views in every room!

Modern property with breathtaking views from the main and upper floors. With available kayaks, ventured out to watch the otters, fish, and blue herons that frequented the cove. Don’t forget to pack extras, the nearest grocery store was about 25 minutes away. Hiking near the property is limited; the home sits adjacent to highway 101. Out teens enjoyed the pool and fooseball tables, and my wife and I enjoyed soaking up the sun on the deck. The welcome basket was a welcomed touch!

such an amazing property! i think it's the nicest i've ever booked. perfect accommodations for 3 couples and kids. the open layout of the main level was perfect. the view was breathtaking! it snowed about 6" during our stay, which cramped our plans a little- but it was just fine staying in and cozy instead :) The downstairs family/game room was a perfect spot to have our 7 people enjoy the big tv. the beach made for some fun rock-hunting, but bring your beefy shoes- everything is covered with oysters/shells. some previous reviews mentioned issues with A) heat, B) curtains and C) grill, but those have since been resolved. all heaters worked, all bedroom windows had curtains and the grill was brand new.
all around, a terrific spot, and i hope we can visit again!

Beautiful views and beach below house!!

Great house right on the water with a fire pit, kayaks, stunning views, a game room, big kitchen and 4 bedrooms. Only downfall was the house clearly hadn't been cleaned well (mess in the kitchen, house not vacuumed, dirty towel left over, clogged shower drain). I texted Vacasa multiple times but never heard back about sending someone to come clean.

This house was a perfect size for our 10 person family and we would love to book this place again in the near future. Furniture in the living room and family/pool room is very comfortable and huge for gatherings. Beautiful wooden dining room table and comfortable chairs/bench. The outside patio was amazing for hanging out and looking at the water, mountains and watching all the animals....Picture-perfect! Kitchen is excellent for families that love to cook and entertain. Kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, pots and pans, cups, coffee mugs, plates, and salt and pepper-spices. A good size refrigerator and oven works great. Has a crockpot, Big countertops and kitchen island have lots of room for baking/cooking. Love having 3 stories as the game room downstairs is great for having fun even late night or watching a movie with the whole family. Pool table is pretty good.
However there are a few items that definitely need changing or fixing:
1) The beds were super firm - consensus between everyone that they could be a little softer or have an extra mattress pad.
2) All the heaters in the bedrooms upstairs were not working at all. Heaters work in the bathrooms very well so not sure the issue in bedrooms.
3) There are no trash cans in any of the bathrooms or bedrooms upstairs. Would be nice to have at least one upstairs somewhere even in the bathroom/laundry room would work.
3) Primary bedroom does not have curtains on the side window where the neighbors can see in. I have seen a few past reviews that said the same thing. I had hoped it had been fixed by the time we arrived but should have inquired. It seems like a very simple fix, but there was only a sheet put up instead.
4) Please please please update grill- they need get a new outdoor grill. I just saw several reviews that stated the same thing. It's really old, very dirty and wasn't functioning properly. By the time we wanted to use it, it was on Thanksgiving Day, we didn't want to ruin anyone's holiday by coming out to fix it.
5) Soda machine downstairs doesn’t work so not sure it should be included as an “amenity”- kids were s disappointed. We would even have paid for the sodas if it had been stocked.
Final review--House, layout, views and location are all worth it! Just hope for a few updates to make it perfect for our next stay!

What a beautiful home with beyond amazing views! We stayed this past weekend and everything was a 10. Great location, close to Brinnon if you need anything. Beds were very comfortable and bedding was first class. Showers were also great. Only problem is we wanted to stay longer. Local contacts of Leslie and Jessica (Jennifer) were very responsive and awesome! Don't hesitate to book this vacation home.

The house is spacious, sunny, and well-equipped (we never even used the pool table). From the house and especially from the decks, there are tremendous views of the Canal and wildlife. The water is very close but access down to it is for the spry. Excellent access to hiking, HamaHama Oyster Saloon and birding at DosWallips.

Very delightful stay. Loved being on the beach on beautiful Hood canal. There were a couple of things that were not present that we felt should have been provided, namely: a box or two of tissues, TV instructions (especially the upstairs one which we were unable to operate), advertising that should indicate the limitations of programming without a fee. A better condition BBQ.

Fantastic spot, well laid out for big groups with excellent views. Kitchen was well stocked with gear and the games room was also really nice.
Could have used some more blankets to be available and the upstairs bedrooms could be improved with curtains however we have no other complaints.
We got snowed in on our last night and getting out of the driveway was impossible for one of our cars. Vacasa called us to make sure we were okay (power had died also after a tree took out the power lines down the road) and offered advice on the safest way to head back to Seattle. They were also understanding of our need to leave a car until the snow melts.

We experienced a septic blockage and sewage backed up into the house running all the toilets in the home over and causing water to leak w the ceilings and thru the can lights. We immediately called the area manager and was told we would be moved. We were then offered a house a hour north of our current house. We were at this current location because we were spreading the ashes of our parents at the seal rock camp ground. So that would not have worked. So we went online and the only property we could fined was in the lake cushman area whick was still over 35 minutes away from our location. The house we got in lake cushman was considerably smaller and not on the water. Long story short is the septic problem put a big damper on our plans and forced us into a position where we had to settle for a lesser enjoyable area and home for what was already a stressful and emotional weekend. I hope i will be reimbursed for the obvious price difference in the home and some for our inconvenience!

Enjoyed our stay.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay and agreed we would go back to this same rental again. We have done a fair amount of local a nation-wide traveling and used many different rental companies. We rarely would choose to stay in a rental a second time - so it says a lot for us to want to go back.
The cleanliness was not ideal - the floors did not appear to have been recently mopped in the kitchen, and the carpet in the dining room had someone else's popcorn in it. That being said, this house allows dogs so we as consumers understand that usually means there will be signs of other dogs (maybe not as clean?). We enjoyed being able to bring our dog, so that outweighed feeling slightly grossed out when I wiped water off the laminate flooring and the paper towel came up looking rougher than anticipated. Also, the blinds upstairs in at least 2 of the bedrooms were not functional, and neither was the pot-filler behind the stove. These were reported to management. Lastly, the one concern we had is that there is not a landline. Neither of us had cell service there and the lack of a landline meant if there was an emergency in the home...you would be in trouble. It would be nice to have a landline for this reason - even if you charged a fee to use it. The first day we were there was windy and we woke up to the power being out. We had to drive about 10-15 minutes to find a cell pocket - but the Vacasa team was very responsive. The power came back on within a few hours after we called. I would rent with Vacasa again due to how wonderful the customer service was when we had an issue - this has not been our experience with other companies that manage multiple rentals.

Great location, great home. Very quiet and fairly well appointed. My family had a wonderful time here.
A few small things that kept me from giving it 5 stars for the price: ice maker does not work, grill was in poor condition, one of the upstairs beds was extremely firm, no disposal, and the bottom floor was very musty smelling.
