About this house rental

An adorable and private cottage in downtown Nevada City - just a few minutes walk to the shops, galleries, cafes, bars, restaurants, and events of the charming and historic Nevada City. The Downtown Bungalow features a bedroom with a queen memory foam bed, flat screen HD TV, closet and chair. The bathroom includes organic shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and lotion, plus a hairdryer and luxurious towels. The kitchen has a full set up including a coffee cone, coffee press, burr coffee grinder, juicer and all the appliances, pans, and dishes you need for your stay (a regular 12-cup coffeemaker is available by request.) A gas grill is on the patio. There is a dining area and lovely outdoor patio under a pergola for your morning coffee or afternoon cocktail. We provide French coffee beans, tea, and sparkling water (+treats!) The Bungalow is a separate building on our property, with owner interaction at a minimum. There is private parking for one car. There is heat and AC (during warm months only) in the Bungalow, + a ceiling fan. Please note that the Bungalow is a small granny unit, appropriate for one person or a couple. The shower ceiling is on the low side!

Please note that we charge a 10% bed tax on our nightly rate (i.e. $14 for our standard $140 nightly fee). This is payable at the Bungalow at check-in. cash preferred. It is a hospitality tax that goes directly
to Nevada City.

The Bungalow is on a quiet street yet just a short downhill walk into lively downtown Nevada City. The property is beautifully landscaped and there is a seasonal creek running just outside the Bungalow. There are numerous hiking, biking, and running trails within walking distance from the property. The amazing Yuba River is a short drive away.

Small and sweet and all we need for our magical time on the River Yuba. Kathy is the best!! always available for anything we need during our stay and the most accommodating host ever. The bungalow is comfortable and light and lovely. Fit for anyone who wants to feel comfortable away from home.

THE PERFECT bungalow for 2. Charming doesn’t begin to describe this peaceful,enchanting, immaculate, whimsical rental. Best nights sleep we have ever had away from home. Treats and treasures are supplied. All our senses were satisfied. We hated to leave.

The bungalow was lovely and well supplied with everything that we needed to have a comfortable and relaxing stay. Our host, Kathy, provided everything that we could possibly need and was very helpful in informing us of local attractions, and outdoor opportunities. My husband and I enjoyed a short 2-night getaway at this lovely property. The bungalow is small but comfortable, packing all we could need in its cozy space. Kathy is a wonderful host and included special touches that made us feel especially welcomed! We enjoyed an easy and pleasant walk to the independent shops and restaurants of Nevada City under a clear blue sky on our first full day. On our final day, we greatly appreciated not having a list of chores to complete before leaving, elbowing us to hold on to our “vacation vibe” a little longer while a gentle snowfall turned Nevada City into a scene from a Christmas Card. We’d love to visit this property again!

This is an ideal getaway for two. Immaculately maintained and every detail had been carefully and lovingly thought out. It’s an easy walk into a charming town and a short drive to an array of outdoor activities and sites. We WILL be back! Thank you for wonderful time in your bungalow!

This sweet bungalow has everything one needs to feel cared for away from home. It’s so welcoming and charming and extremely easy to use as a base while exploring the Yuba river and the town of Nevada city . The owner is accommodating and available should you need anything. This is our 2nd time in the Bungalow, and we were just as pleased this time as our last. The cottage is adorable and spotlessly clean. We spent lots of time out on the patio enjoying the runaway sweet peas along the bank of the stream. We’d certainly stay here again!

The bungalow was clean, cozy, quiet and convenient. Plus it was stocked very well. The thoughtful extra touches made it extra special. Kathy, the host, was quite nice and very accessible if need be. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and highly recommend it.

Staying at this little bungalow for a weekend getaway was AWESOME. The location can't be beat, it was super clean and comfortable and thoughtfully designed. Kathy was awesome with communication and a 5 star host, and even went above and beyond to return a couple of belongings that somehow I forgot to pack up. Can't recommend enough, I hope to return again in the future next time I am in the area.

My wife and I enjoyed staying in the bungalow for a couple of days. It's the 2nd time we've stayed there. There's a lot of special touches, some treats on the table, fresh strawberries in the fridge, the body wash and shampoo were great, towels are very nice and thick. It's very close to downtown and we love sitting on the patio during the evening. We used the kitchen to make breakfast everyday and the fridge kept our refeshments nice and cold. It's a great getaway for us to enjoy the smell of the redwoods, forest and be a couple of degrees cooler as we live about an hour away in Roseville.

Great little bungalow. They have done a great job recently renovating this little bungalow. And everything was very clean and functional. Despite the title it is about a 10 mile minute walk to downtown but no big deal. Highly recommend.
