The space
1. The house has a VERY steep driveway, only book this space if you are comfortable with that. No parking vehicles in the garage. There are 2 parking spots and wooden stairs next to the driveway that are associated with this property.
2. The bedding and mattresses have been all updated since the fall of 2019. New carpet was placed in spring of 2021.
3. Trash Must Be Removed by Guests! We do not have trash pick up.
Trash Bins are in the MPOA Swimming Pool parking lot above the Mini Golf
parking lot.
4. Although we are located inside the resort, amenities like water parks, skiing, tubing, and golf, must be paid for separately. Discounts are not associated with renting this house.
Guest access
Guests can access the entire home including the garage for gaming, gear, and pets. No parking of vehicles in the garage.
Other things to note:
SNOW REMOVAL IS NOT PROVIDED - This is important for guests to know because if you arrive after a snow or ice event it is unlikely you will be able to get up the drive way. If you are staying during a snow or ice event you should move your vehicle to the bottom of the drive or to our along the street gravel parking space. Or you maybe trapped at the top of the drive unable to get your vehicle out safely. We will not be responsible for towing or other expenses incurred by guests for towing or recovery of vehicles that have slid off the drive way or somehow become trapped because of snow or ice.
You may need to check in at the guard station when entering the resort.
We only offer the rental of the house. All activities at the resort must be purchased directly from Massanutten Resort.

We had a long weekend at your property. we enjoyed the house greatly, wish someone would have cleaned the porch and back deck some. But otherwise very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware.

We love this house it's our second time booking it. It is very well stocked. There is plenty to do and we love that we can bring our pets. However, this time was a bit different with the clean aspect. It definitely can use a deep cleaning or at least more attention to cleaning. I found soda cans in the drawers when I opened them. There were cookie crumbs all over the couch. Shower liners need to be replaced and I had to wipe down the fridge and rewash almost all of the dishes we used. Thanks for allowing us to stay at your home.

I travelled from Florida with my dog for a family weekend get together. My 3 daughter and 2 of my grandkids came in from the DC area. Had a great time playing ping pong, foosball, and darts. We also enjoyed some of the resort amenities including the driving range and escape room. Nice place although the driveway was a bit treacherous especially after it rained.

The communication was great with the property manager. The driveway is steep so if you don’t have a 4-wheel drive, I recommend parking at the end of the driveway. The property was very accommodating and had a lot of essentials provided!!! We enjoyed our stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this house. It had plenty of space for our family. We thoroughly enjoyed the games galore and the pretty view of the slopes from the driveway. As other guests have commented, the driveway is very steep, but there is parking on the road and halfway up. A set of stairs from the road half way up was also helpful. No problem at all. Thanks for the relaxing and fun vacation.

Our family winter getaway was perfect, thanks to this beautiful property. Our boys loved the basement as there were plenty of things to do; ping pong, foosball, darts, mini-hoop, weight-lift, etc.
All three bedrooms on the main floor were comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean with plenty of towels.
As others mentioned, the driveway to the house was very steep. We wouldn't recommend it for any old folks or people with problems walking up or down the hill.
While we were checking out from the house, the front door knob came loose, and we had to contact the property owner to let him know the problem. The owner was very responsive in regard.
Overall, we had a great time at this property and resort.

We loved our stay- the location was great for visiting James Madison University. We enjoyed the downstairs bar area and seeing the deer in the morning. The house was well appointed and had everything you can imagine!! Once you get used to the driveway, you’re good. It’s very steep and takes some skill. You can park along the road if you don’t have a vehicle that is up to the challenge. :)

We came to hike and relax and this was the perfect house for us. The house was well stocked, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the back porch, darts, ping pong and board games. Our front wheel drive Minivan did not make it up the driveway. I think part of the issue was that we arrived after dark and it was too dark to see where we were going. There was space to park at the Bottom of the driveway and it all worked out just fine. Massanutten was impressive and I would recommend this house without a doubt.

The property was even better than advertised—absolutely charming. Loved the game room downstairs and the secret room. We were only there for a weekend, and so didn’t begin to have enough time to use all that this property had to offer, but will definitely have it on the list for a return visit.

Beautiful house!
The house was great with so many fun games for our family to enjoy. It was extremely clean, well appointed, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could need. The driveway is no joke as noted in the listing, but we had no issues. Would definitely stay here again!

Great House!
My family stayed here so we could spend a weekend with my daughter who attends JMU. It was only a short drive from the campus and a very nice area for us to enjoy time together as a family.
The house was clean and all of the listed amenities were available to us. We'd be happy to stay here again in the future!

A wonderful gateway
We had a great time at this beautiful place. The house is comfortable, well equipped, perfectly clean, with excellent beds... We had everything we needed. The place is also packed with games, which made our little ones overly happy the whole stay and turned out very helpful on a rainy day. Finally, the location is great, close to massanuten attractions. We hope to come back one day!!

Great Home
This house was a great place to get some RnR when not on the slopes. There was plenty of room for two families to spread out. The kitchen was well stocked, there were ample games and entertainment & the host was quick to respond to all communications. The host was great - they were upfront about their personal weather policy and flexible with our requests. We are grateful to have found this rental and will definitely stay here again.

JMU graduation weekend!!!
Close enough to JMU for graduation weekend but we were able to enjoy the cabin. Clean, good space, the hidden room and games were perfect! Owners super as well.

Really great place to spend a weekend
Went out for a weekend with family. The house itself is spacious, well maintained, and a lot of fun: a secret room? amazing. The driveway is NO JOKE so be sure you can make it! Easy drive to Swift Run Gap entrance to Skyline Drive, and 1835 Smokehouse just outside the entrance to Massanutten had very good barbecue. Great time all around!

Long weekend family trip. Great accommodations. Clean and comfortable. Had all necessities and more. Having dart board and ping pong added to the fun. Highly recommended VRBO! I was initially hesitant to book because it is in a resort area. If you are there for extra activities you will love it. We were looking for a quiet low key weekend with lots of hiking. The house although in a development was private and quiet. Driveway is adventurous but easily doable with our suv. Highly recommend the local breweries (cave hill farm and elkton) and local hiking at the NP. Bear fence was a favorite!

Plenty of fun things to do inside and outside the house. The description of the driveway (a challenge, but doable) was spot-on, and communication with the owner was pleasant and fast. Would love to visit again as my son (5) grows into all the toys/games on-site. *I can see how this house would be a great low-key bachelor party location, as well - basement beer fridge, ping pong table, darts, N64, PS5, and all the bro-down accoutrements.

Great House!!
We had a ton of fun at this home and the resort. We loved the basement area and ping pong table. The beds were very comfy. We parked our minivan at the bottom of the driveway and walked up the steps, which worked out fine. Have fun!!

It was my families first vacation since 2019 because of the pandemic and it turned out to be the perfect home and location to be with everyone, relax and enjoy ourselves. We will definitely be back!

Great Getaway
The place was perfect for us. We have stayed in the area before and love it. It was quiet and peaceful. The place offered everything we needed. There was plenty of room to roam around. The dining room table was perfect for game night. The deck off the back of the house could use some upgrading, but being in the mountains does take it toll on outside furniture.

Really FUN home near Shenandoah
Our group really enjoyed our time here. It perfectly suited our needs, and we had a ton of fun cooking, in the games room, and around the neighborhood as well. AND it's in a great place to go on hikes in Shenandoah!!

Fabulous time
We enjoyed a fabulous time at this great mountain house. The kids loved the hidden room and spent hours playing board games. The ping pong table and foosball table were big winners for our family. The house was extremely clean and well stocked. We can’t wait to return again.

Our stay was wonderful! Enjoyed the scenic views from the house. Loved being able to just hang at the house and do things and not having to go anywhere. The secret room was our favorite! The driveway was interesting as well, very steep.. we made it up and it was worth it. Already talking about planning another trip and specifically to this house!

Perfect Get-away!
This house was perfect for us! The layout, games, and it’s super clean with all of the important upgrades. We came to get out of NOVA during COVID, looking for solitude and nature. So favorites were hiking, fishing, darts, ping-pong, and a fully functioning smart TV with strong WiFi! And happy we could bring our pup. The screened porch also definitely a favorite.

Stayed here for long weekend, place was just what we were looking for. Had issue when first got there, cleaning crew was never booked for visit before us. Called and was addressed immediately.

Awesome time
We had a great time! The doors for the washer and dryer unit were off so we hung them back up. We also organized the wires that were by the tv/fire place. The hidden room downstairs was our favorite hang out spot! Loved playing darts.
