Unfortunately I feel it important to write a honest and hopefully helpful review. Primarily because I had voiced concerns regarding other negative reviews before and after I rented this house, and was promised by vacasa that the problems had been taken care of.
They have not.
I am surprised vacasa property management company would be proud to have your name on this property. It is a complete disappointment and unsanitary. It is very clear Covid sanitizing protocol is not being followed along with any care or respect for guests financial investment and enjoyment of vacation time. Ironically, several of our family members became sick while staying here.
The items below to name just a few are completely unacceptable.
The house was not ready on arrival. We had to deal
With the master bathroom outlets broken, we had to fix a broken toilet, ice maker is broken, all the blinds are broken, stove top doesn’t work well, dishwasher does not work consistently, all the furniture is ripped, broken down, dirty and old. There is one bar stool at kitchen bar, the kitchen cupboards and pantry are dirty and in complete disarray. The carpets are disgusting and unsanitary, filthy and stained. The kitchen floor when wiped with a towel came up black, filthy. The mattresses are old and covered with a foam pad that has no cover to be sanitized and washed between guests. The house does not have enough towels, coffee mugs, wine glasses and seating to accommodate the number of guests allowed in house rental. The deck is old and full of slivers. The house siding is rotting, the landscaping very unattractive. There has been no care in providing a comfortable inviting vacation home. We are offended to be taken advantage of not personally viewing this home before renting and lied to on the description of it on your vacasa sight.
We will be writing a formal letter to vacasa for restitution. We rent homes all over the Pacific Northwest and this is the worst home we’ve ever rented.
The one star is for the beauty of wapato point and lake Chelan. This home doesn’t belong here in this condition, to rent to people coming for their vacations is shameful.

After the first day I though I would give a five start review - I had read other reviews before coming and I saw that many of those were obsolete:
- the house was clean despite of some reviews from earlier
- the mattress was good and sheets were clean
- some equipment was old, but that did not bother us, some furniture was tired but that was ok.
Other than that, I liked the atmosphere of the house and it had a great location
Then two things made me somewhat upset:
- both toilers broke during our stay. It is not a fun digging into the flushing mechanism when we paid like two thousand dollars for a stay, on the top of that we stayed with our friends who visited from Europe and we were embarrassed because of the situation. I think this problem was reported long ago, I am not sure why it is a big deal to change the toilets at this price range.
- We still noticed the problem with the bunk bed - one was sturdy but the other shook when my son turned in the bad. This did not let both kids in the bunk bad sleep well.

Fantastic Trip. The home was nice. There were a couple of things. The queen bed in the room with the bunk beds was worn out. Two adults in that bed would roll into the middle which they gave up on and slept on a air mattress. The couch had big tear in it. The shades were in pretty bad shape. Other than that everything was great and we had a wonderful trip.

Very well- located one level home with all the essential amenities. Walking distance to the water , walking paths. Home demonstrated signs of significant wear .. window coverings did not block out enough sunshine for our kids to sleep well , unfortunately.

Beautiful house on wapato
This house is perfectly located with an amazing view to the lake and across from the pool. Everything was clean and nice. The kids enjoyed every amenity. The only down side some outlets in the bathroom don’t work. Ran out of plastic garbage bags, and laundry soap. Kitchen utensils, plates should at least serve 12 like the listing says. Also had to fold laundry when we got there stuff in the dryer and unload a full load of dishes. The grill out side needs to be replaced! It needs a little TLC! The actual house and place we loved so much. Thank you

Old Tattered and Worn would be an understatement
Our multigenerational family of 8 rented this house for the week and we were pretty shocked at the poor conditions. There are a lot of amenities such as ample sleeping space, kitchen supplies, towels, and bedding but it is ALL dirty, old and mismatched. I would guess the bedding (other than the sheets and pillow cases) hasn't been washed in years. The stove is something straight out of the 70's which was useful for heating some tots but nothing else. The couch has rip marks and flat hard pillows that should be thrown out along with the plethora of old food staples left for guests to share DURING A PANDEMIC! Really not ok. One toilet seat is basically worn down to the innards and broken. The bunk beds are not put together correctly and an accident waiting to happen. We were suprised one did not collapse and we are not large people. Horrible mattresses which you get used to after awhile because they are better than the floor. ONE bar stool....yes ONE. We had to rewash all the pans, dishes and utensils due to extreme sketchiness. There were 4 total mugs so bring some paper cups. Also, there are a lot of old kid toys that are porous just there in dirty containers...festering....with something....along with the carpet that had huge stains that looked like dog urine. The bathroom mirrors were broken. The paint was coming off the outside of the house. Kudos, however, to the landscape team that is putting in an effort to make it presentable to those driving by. All in all the only good thing was the view up the lake from the 3 of 4 chairs that weren't broken on the deck. I 100% do NOT Recommend renting this home and recommended that VACASA fire this client until they put some effort into their rental investment. If not, please update the website to let everyone know what they are getting and charge $80-100 a day maximum.

Wapato Point House stay June 10 -12th
This house does have a lovely view even though it is not on the water. We had deer in the yard every day. House was clean and ready for us at check in time. They had plenty of towels and appliances. The stove was very old, definitely retro, did take quite awhile for burners to heat up. That being said everything worked and we cooked several meals using the grill and the oven. It was lovely to sit outside on the covered patio and enjoy our meals. We were in town for a funeral and it was nice to come home to a lovely view and relax.

Not up to Wapato point standards
We had a great time enjoying the Wapato point neighborhood and amenities but the house was not great. I had read the reviews prior to booking and had anticipated it to be a little below average but gave it a chance Bc the owner had stated the items had been corrected. That was not true. We were not able to check in until 4pm because the cleaner was still at the property, that would be fine if the house appeared to be cleaned at all. The floors were filthy, there was dust on every lamp, window, blind, and bookcase. The toilet in the master is broken, only about half the electrical outlets work in the house, the mirror in the main bath is still cracked and all the appliances are outdated/don’t work well, there is trim missing and even a patched large hole in the wall that hasn’t been painted. The owner clearly only uses this house as a rental and has no pride of ownership.

Disappointed
It’s a shame the owners have not given this house the attention and upkeep it deserves. It is in one of the most beautiful locations at Wapato Point, and has so much potential.
Over a two-night stay, I noted over a dozen issues with the condition of the house and its amenities. This includes issues previous guests mentioned in reviews, and the owner replied that they had been fixed, but as of this review date 1/11/21, they in fact have not:
-Master bath toilet broken flushing system. Toilet runs non-stop after flushing.
-3 out of 6 lightbulbs out in guest bath.
-Crusty old stained towels, ratty old bed linens.
-Stained old carpet coming up from floor.
-Trash and lint under and behind all furniture. The dust was so bad we couldn’t stop sneezing during our stay.
-House feels dirty and unkept overall, bad smell, cobwebs, sticky surfaces.
-Showerhead is 5 ft in guest shower, much too low for average height
-EXTREMELY loose and dangerous bunk beds. **This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. I wouldn’t allow my son on these.
-Blinds broken in guest bedroom, living room, bunk room, master bedroom
-Ancient stove and microwave
-Broken bathroom door locks
-Extremely loose, old outlets. Most too loose to hold a plug.

The home is nice, the service is awful
The home is beautiful, in a great location and comfy. The service around the home awful. I hate being a negative Nancy but it was bad. It was not clean or prepared for new guests(wet bathroom mats in the dryer, vacuumed but filthy floors, food left on the grill). We tried asking for help due to a circuit flipping and it being behind a locked door, but didn’t get a response and had to call multiple times over 9 hours. For what you pay per night, 0% worth the.

Not what you're paying for
We have rented at Wapato for over 20 years and there is a standard expected when you rent a home on the Point. The house was worn, but that was not the issue. The place was a dump. Broken door knobs, broken vanity mirror, garbage under the sink, not a matching pan with lid, not a workable frying pan at all, lumpy old mattresses and pillows, missing deck chairs, a gas BBQ you would not to use (for safety and level of grime, closest full of boxes and a dirty foam bedroll to name a few. Vacasa (property management) responded when we called and apologized for the condition of the home. For $6000 it was not what we expected when renting on the Point. Steer clear.

Chelan
Check in was easy, location near the pool was great, internet didn't work the majority of the trip which was hard as we were working a portion of the time. Owner gave a slight discount to compensate the inconvenience.

Would not recommend this home
This home is very dirty and needs a big facelift. It does have a good layout with a beautiful partial view so perhaps the owners could invest a little money to upgrade.

A Gem at Wapato Point
My family and I absolutely loved our stay at the Lake Life house. The house offers the most fantastic deck looking into a view of the Cascades and the sunset. It was very enjoyable to have glasses of wine from a few of the Chelan wineries (we especially liked Siren Song - they even deliver!) while we took in the view from the Adirondack chairs on the deck. We had everything we needed here. Plus, the couch and the king beds are really comfortable.
The kitchen is well appointed and I love the tasteful and pretty decorations throughout the home. There are also tons of movies and games, and the satellite TV was great. We also watched Netflix and we were able to access our Prime acct too.
The Wapato Point neighborhood is very safe, and we would see the security guards driving through the neighborhood. It’s a great place for evening walks, as you have several shore areas to explore.
I highly recommend this home. We will definitely be back!
