This property is well maintained and sits in a very quiet location. We saw almost as many deer as passing cars. It was so peaceful that it felt like we were in a secluded location and yet, a few minutes in the car takes you to Frankfort's shopping, dining, beaches and more. Crystal Lake is also a very short distance away. We enjoyed nearby canoeing and tubing as well as Sleeping Bear Dunes. The owner was responsive and accommodating. I would definitely stay there again.

We spent five wonderful nights in the cabin as the home base for our ski vacation. My husband and son skied at Crystal Mountain, and I cross-country skied on various trails at Sleeping Bear Dunes, as well as at Crystal. The cabin was a good central point for our adventures: about 25 minutes to Crystal, and about 25 minutes to Empire. It was charming and cozy and is in a beautiful setting. Brian was very responsive and easy to work with; we couldn't have asked for a better place to ring out 2020 and ring in 2021.

I was looking for a place to stay in the Frankfort area that wasn't in town or a lot and sub location. This home was perfect. It is a beautiful log home, not huge, but large enough to be very comfortable. The bath and a half are a nice option as well. It is on 5 acres on a dead end street. There are other homes on the street but not close enough to notice. The street does not have a lot of traffic. In fact the most traffic we saw was from the family of 4-5 deer that came by almost every morning. The home is nicely furnished, well stocked with anything you would need and was immaculate. While the location is not in town it is only a short drive to town and within 20-45 minutes of everything we wanted to see. Frankfort, Beulah, Iron Fish Distillery, St. Ambrose Cellars, the Betsie River, Homestead Dam, Betsie Valley Trail, Point Betsie Lighthouse, Sleeping Bear Dunes and Gwen Frostic Studios were our points of interest, all within a short drive. The property is a wooded acreage that we enjoyed walking. The fall foliage was spectacular. Brian touched base with us ahead of our stay and promptly answered any questions we had. I can honestly say I would love to stay at this cabin again should I travel to the Frankfort area in the future. I would encourage anyone else to do so as well.

This property is very nice and is everything you think of when you hear “log home”. It is wood from top to bottom, inside and out so it fits in nicely for its location in the woods. There is plenty of outdoor space and the flower garden is very pretty. Because of the wood interior it is a bit dark and could use brighter bulbs in the lamps and the lighting over the dining table could also be brighter for game playing, etc. The living room furniture is very comfortable as are the beds. There is only one full bathroom but having a half bath helps. The upstairs loft worked well for our two young ones but adults using it need to be aware of the steps. The kitchen was very workable and had almost everything you may need. The home is only a short distance from downtown Frankfort and not much of a drive from most attractions. Overall it was a good time.
