Spend the evening watching the sunset on the beach and come back to your cottage and sit by our propane firepit in your private back yard to count the stars! Or grill out with our propane grill or cook just the right meal in our completely outfitted kitchen. Or hang out on the NEW Screened Florida Room out front and say hi to the neighbors.
We offer a King bedroom with an ensuite bath/shower, a Queen bedroom that shares the hall bath with the cottage and a separate sunroom that has a full-sized bed that can sleep 2.
We use high thread count linens, extra pillows for your comfort selection, Turkish Towels, Fully Stocked Kitchen with all New Bosch and GE Profile Appliances. We even have a private, high end washer/dryer (no key cards!)

My husband and I had a great time at the cottage with our son, DIL, and 13 mo old granddaughter for a week over Spring Break We appreciated the location that is a short walk to North Lido Beach and St. Armand's Circle. It is also close to a trolley that can take you to downtown Sarasota. Loading up the wagon and beach gear provided by the host, we hit the beach most days and returned for sunsets. The cottage was well-equipped with everythng we needed.

The Flamingo cottage is in a great location. Not directly on the water but only a 3 minute walk down the path. Deb and Ed have left the ambiance of a quaint cottage with all the upgrades to make it perfect.

The Cottage was well kept, clean and fully furnished. Deb and Ed are great hosts and made sure we had everything we needed and that everything was as promised. It is well within walking distance to St Armands as well as the Public Beach. We enjoyed our stay!

Charming ranch style house in quiet residential area close to beach but away from crowds. Well appointed with wi-fi, big screen tv, fully equipped kitchen. Counter space for air fryer and slow cooker which we brought. Owners marvelous to work with and very supportive while one of us experienced a hospitalization. We'll be back!

Home is lovely and well cared for. EVERYTHING you may need is supplied: coffee, plenty of towels, beach chairs, umbrella, cart. Beach access is a mere 4 minute walk away. Deb is extremely accommodating, helpful and reachable even though it was over the Christmas/New Year holidays. Walk to restaurants is a breeze. As I said, the house is perfect.

I Family has stayed with Deb for the second time this year. We love this location and it’s sister cottage next-door. Great location, walkable to Saint Armands Circle, and just a short walk to the beach. Great environment and the beach is not crowded typically. We will definitely stay again!

A beautiful bungalow near the beach. Loved all aspects of the facility. It was great for my little pup. Lots of glassware, etc. so would be hesitant w/ young kids. Fabulous location and amenities. Check in is rather late; an earlier check in can be requested. We did have issues with check in as code did not work & were exhausted after a very long drive, plus needed to be available for family events. Otherwise, hassle free & lovely. Wished I had stayed longer.

My sister and I have been at Flamingo before, and we love the proximity of it to the beach and to our friends who live on North Pork Drive, around the corner. The two bedroom cottage is perfect for us and is so comfortable and convenient and well appointed. We hope to be able to return to Flamingo Cottage in the years ahead. We love it there!

The pictures did not do the home justice! It had everything you would possibly need and more. My husband and I came with our 2 teenage daughters and the location was perfect for all of us! Couldn’t have found a better rental. Will definitely rent again!

Perfect family vacation
I rented this house to be close to the Mote Marine Laboratory where my grandson had adopted an octopus. We were 3 generations staying in the house and it met all of our needs. It is away from the crazy crowded beaches, lots of nature to see in the wild. The black skimmer birds were nesting on the beach. We saw two manatees just swimming close to shore. We collected dead sanddollars and saw many live ones too. The free bikes provided were enjoyed everyday. The beach equipment was in good condition. I met the property owner one morning while I was enjoying quiet time on the front porch. He was making sure the house next door was ready for the next guests. A nice man who wants his guests to enjoy these great retro bungalows. It is sad the large condos are being built in the neighborhood.
I recommend: Mote Aquarium , Ringling Museum, kayaking mangrove, Siesta Key Rum Distillery

Sweet little house in the perfect location.
My sister and I stayed at the Flamingo cottage the first week of May. The cottage was equipped with everything and suitable for family members of all ages. Wonderful being able to walk to the beach. Located in the more quiet end of Lido yet walking distance to shopping and restaurants. We met the owners when we arrived - very nice people!

We enjoyed our stay at the Flamingo Cottage. Great location. walking distance to St. Armand's Circle and close to the beach. The cottage had everything you would need for a great beach vacation. Very clean and comfortable. We were also glad the cottage was pet friendly so we could bring our dog with us. Deb was a great host and we would definitely stay at the Flamingo Cottage again!

A comfortable cottage very close to Lido Beach in Sarasota. Excellent walking beach and sunset viewing. Walkable to St. Armands Circle for dining, shopping and galleries. A quiet location (once the new house across the street is finished), well appointed and very comfortable. My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed Flamingo Cottage.

Lido Key Flamingo Cottage...Wonderful!
Stayed a week with my family to celebrate a special life event benchmark for my younger daughter. We all enjoyed the cottage amenities. It was clean and comfortable. While the beach cannot be seen from the cottage, it is only about a 5 to 8 minute walk along a windswept nature path to the beach shoreline. It was really beautiful. Also only a short walk to St. Armands circle for shopping and restaurants. Book and enjoy!

We Will Return!
Our family of five traveled to the Flamingo Cottage and had a wonderful experience. This house provided for our needs. The pictures do not justify the proximity to the beach. Getting to the beach was our priority and this could not have been easier.
With three kids (6, 4, and 3) we were constantly returning to the cottage for forgotten items (pacis, blankets, milk, bathroom needs). The walk was simple, direct and would have trusted my 6 year old to manage it alone. If it was not for the construction of a hotel house nearby (lots of male workers watching), I would allowed for it. The street was only residents.
The house is dated in the 1960s. But if you can look beyond aesthetics, it serves every needs for going to the beach. Beautiful sand. Well located restaurants. We certainly will return.

Clean updated home with great location and amenities!
My family stayed here for a spring break getaway. We cannot say enough good things about this property. The amenities were top notch, including all beach gear (you could hop on a plane with nothing in hand and still have everything you need at this house), private outdoor space with tons of seating and fire pit, bikes, and everything in a kitchen you could ever want or need. The location cannot be beat. The convenient walk to the beach was a couple of minutes away and the north side of Lido Beach was quiet and secluded and perfect for relaxing or swimming. At night, a one minute walk had us in the center of St. Armand's circle. Deb was very responsive to questions and needs. We highly recommend this property and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The property is very well taken care of, very clean and the owner is very helpful. The location to the beach is fantastic and walking distance to everything St. Armands has to offer. We really enjoyed our stay. I should note that there is construction across the street. So lots of activity going on for the next few months. This is nothing the owner can change. The cottage is pretty tight though so the noise was not too bad. I wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to stay here again. Thank you.

Christmas week
We had a wonderful stay the week leading up to Christmas and enjoyed being able to host my parents for Christmas Eve. It is an amazing location and it was nice being able bike in the area. We were able to meet Deborah and she was incredibly nice, there was some construction across the street which she apologized for but really has no control over. I would recommend it as a great place to stay.
