We weren’t expecting luxury.. we booked our trip for an holiday weekend at the last minute, and we were looking for a place we could bring our dogs along. So it surely fulfilled our “needs”. However, The home was not clean and not as maintained as the pictures appear. Definitely outdated pictures from the home’s current condition. The side deck and path to boathouse are falling apart and would move even with our 30lb 2 year old walking on it. When we arrived the AC was not working and the house was 80 degrees our first night stay. The host was responsive to that issue and sent someone out to fix it while we were there. It wasn’t until we were packing up to end our stay that the AC finally caught up. Felt a little more like camping than we hoped. We were glad to have local family nearby so we didn’t have to cook or use the grill that appears it hasn’t been used in years sitting on the falling apart deck. Perks… the neighbors were super friendly and actually allowed us to use the private boat ramp to put our boats in the water. Overall… time on the lake with family is what we were after and we got that. This lot has great potential in desperate need of some TLC !!!!

Rented this lakefront property from July 1 - July 5. Good: owner rented for less than a week at a reasonable price / Lake view / dock / kayaks & canoe / relatively flat lot / plenty of parking / propane in bottle for grill. Bad: front porch handrails rotted and loose / mouse droppings on counter, in cabinets, and on top of two beds / not very clean inside / outside grill / side deck not usable (rotted and mildewed) / wood walkway to lake had screws sticking out (pointed end) / ladder on dock needs blocking to make it easier to use / air duct in kitchen sticks up and will catch your foot / owner did not respond to text about mouse droppings. Overall - we have owned 2 lake properties so we understand bug issues when you aren't there full time. We are even understanding of rodent issues but have someone look after your property if you aren't there to check on it, especially if it hasn't been rented in a while and guests will be arriving. The place needs some serious "love". And the dock ladder needs a block put behind it where it hinges. It is a full-on core workout to get out of the water because it pushes inward creating the wrong angle.

For the price, it met our needs. Interaction with the owner was good and the amenities were great. However, the place is in need of major updating and also regular maintenance. While I was there, I picked up lots of sticks throughout the property (that we also used for a bon fire one night), changed lightbulbs and tried to treat the place as if it were mine. There were some lights that just did not work. Not sure if there are electrical issues, or what (which also concerned me from a safety perspective). There are two bathrooms, one for the main bedroom and a shared bathroom. Both are in need of major updating and maintenance. The kids used the shared bathroom and the sliding door is a safety issue as it fell on one of them. Many things were labeled throughout the property to remind folks of the quantity of utensils, to put the knives back clean and dry or face a fee, etc. I get it, they want people to respect their property. We always do that anyway, but I'm sure others don't. Here's a run down of the pros and cons: Pros Had everything we needed Awesome boathouse Access to kayaks and canoes Grill, fire pit Screen porch Great location on a private cul-de-sac Friendly neighbors Check out time was good (11 AM) Cons Reminded me of my grandma's house Smelled weird (the smell came home with us... we had to wash our clothes multiple times) Beds were old and very uncomfortable Floors were spongy throughout the house Lots of bugs inside (millipedes, centipedes, etc.) Needs major updating Was dirty looking inside and outside (decks could use a power washing) Outdated furniture and not very clean Layout is odd Porch light/fan needs fixed Overall, it met our needs for the week and we had a good time.

Great house, great views, perfect getaway!
Great house, great views, perfect getaway!
Read some reviews that made us wonder what we might be in for, but so glad we rented anyway. Ok let's start with the only bad at all. Yes the bunk beds are only good for kids, but they are bunk beds what would you expect. Yes we did see a couple ants once or twice, but let's be real its a lake house.. what would you expect... Home is well furnished, kitchen is extremely well prepared. The backyard is absolutely amazing. Huge firepit with picnic table on the water, good size dock for enjoying the lake, swimming, fishing, making use of the canoe/kayaks, or just watching the sun come up while enjoying coffee. We will without a doubt be returning!! Do yourself a favor and check this one out.

The location fit us perfectly. Outside amenities were great. Inside was not clean. Most beds were comfortable. Plenty of room to spread out.

Moderate awesome is true.
Moderate awesome is true.
Dock area is great, plenary of dock space and room for boat. House worked ok but is outdated. The bunk room is kid sized. Not for the all adults we brought. Overall a good stay house just needs some basic maintenance

It was all fine except the lighting in the kitchen. It was very dimly lit and then one of the kitchen lights flickered and even went out so it was even darker in there.
