About this house rental

Perfectly situated 1 mile from Downtown, 2 miles from UVA and a short drive to the interstate for vineyard access, this home is the perfect fit for large families, weddings, bachelorette parties! With 2000+sq ft, 5 queen beds and a fenced-in backyard, there is plenty of room for all!

When you arrive you'll find your beds made and ready for you, along with all the necessary towels and toiletries laid out for you upon arrival. In addition, you will have access to a full kitchen, spices, and coffee essentials. There is parking in the driveway, and plenty of parking on the street in front of and beside the house.

Other things to note:

NO PARTIES: As a home in a residential neighborhood, we ask that only you and the listed guests spend time in our home during your stay. We also ask that noise levels be reigned in after 11:00 pm so as to maintain a high level of cordiality with our neighbors. You and your guests are more than welcome to celebrate as you see fit in the home, as long as it doesn't disrupt our neighbors or involve inviting lots of additional friends over!

BACHELORETTE PARTY RULES: While our above house policy states that there are no "parties" allowed, we're happy to welcome guests for a fun bachelorette weekend on a few simple conditions. Please do not invite additional guests beyond those who are staying in the house. We ask that you be respectful of the family-oriented neighborhood, being respectful of noise level, especially outdoors and at night. We ask that you respect the space and treat our home like your own. Beyond that, we're happy to accomodate bachelorette parties on request!

In other words, if you're looking for a fun girls' weekend visiting wineries and spas, and your group will be spending time together in our home together laughing, sipping champagne and opening presents, we hope you'll consider our home! But if you're planning on a large event with many outside guests, we'd ask that you look elsewhere.

CHECK-IN & CHECK OUT: We try to be flexible with check-in and check-out time on a case-by-case basis. Please message us, and we MAY be able to accommodate an earlier arrival or a later departure.

"DAMAGE" DEPOSIT: The security deposit is not authorized unless a claim is made for damage from a guest within a 7-day period after check-out. This serves as peace of mind for us, so we do not continually have to replace things between guests.

ALSO NOTE: We have a tenant who lives in our basement with a separate entrance. She and her dog are typically very quiet and respectful, but don’t be alarmed if you hear the occasional noise from downstairs!

This property was perfect for our needs. Four college dorm mates planned a four-day, three-night stay to tour the homes of Jefferson, Madison, and Monroe, plus the UVA campus. All of our destinations, including restaurants, were an easy drive from the house. The house was outfitted with everything necessary to make our stay completely comfortable.

I actually booked this for my parents and their friends who attended mine and my wife's wedding in the area. It was a great place: clean, spacious, reasonably close to downtown. It's perfect for big groups. On top of that, in the frenzy to leave town, some people forgot some items in the house, and they kindly sent these items back to us via mail! Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

This is a lovely home away from home and the owners are a dream to work with. They responded quickly to all my questions and really made us feel welcome. The house is immaculate inside and looks exactly like the pictures. The neighborhood appears to be in "transition" and I admit we were worried when we drove up, but once we stepped inside the house everything was perfect. There was a lovely welcome basket and a personal note to greet us. This home is large - plenty of space for our group of 8. We were supplied with all the necessities and the kitchen was well stocked. And I must say that every one of us remarked on just how amazing the beds were. You will get a great night's sleep! My only suggestion would be to put a king bed in the MBR . There's plenty of room:) Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

Loved this house and the hosts were so accommodating! Comfy beds, lots of space, and lots of thoughtful touches. Loved the wall with all the info about the area! We were visiting for a family emergency and had to add a night to our stay and Hunter made it super easy to do so.

Really nice property - really had everything we wanted. Was VERY clean and well stocked. Multiple bedrooms that worked great for us. Managers were so easy to work with and were very responsive. Allowed us to stay a few extra hours to get packed up following a wedding. The only issue was were surprised there was someone living in the basement. Absolutely zero impact on us - we never saw nor heard them - but did not see it in the description - maybe it was there -but don't remember it. Know that hanging out on the deck may be discouraged after 11 pm - it was not an issue for us. I give 5 stars because it was 5 stars. Thanks, Andy

The property was spotless, and just as advertised. It was a very relaxing stay with the family. The backyard was perfect to let the dog run and the deck had just enough shade to be able to sit outside. The location was great.

A family wedding brought 8 of us together on Memorial Day weekend. The house was super clean with plenty of room for all. Kitchen was well stocked. Lovely neighborhood. Would highly recommend!

This property was wonderful for our adults-only friends and family reunion! Plenty of space and stocked with all the essentials - only thing I would call out is while the vrbo listing is factually correct, I wouldn't count an air mattress in the living room as "a bedroom" (there isn't a pull out couch). Just something to account for if going with a big group and banking on a 5th bedroom.

The property was clean, spacious, beautiful and located in a residential neighborhood. Upon arrival we found a box of snacks awaiting us on the kitchen table, which I thought was a very nice touch. Great location! Easy drives to supermarkets, local bars/restaurants and the UVA campus. Six longtime friends stayed at this property to attend a football game and we were all glad we chose this property. We had one issue with the front door lock but that was quickly resolved by the host. Highly recommended!

Everything was just what we needed. Easily found it, access with 4 digit code, whole place was stocked and functional with extra things like soap, trash bags, TP, paper towels so didn't even have to hit a store up. Plenty of room for large group to be comfortable!

We stayed at this property for 3 nights with family of 9. The location is convenient. The kitchen and dining area is big enough to have family gathering. Bathrooms are clean but the door to the deck could get a new paint or better clean. Overall we are happy with our stay and would recommend it.

This home is in a great location for people wanting to park and drive into Charlottesville. Quite clean and as described in the listing. My only recommendation for the host to improve the stay is to let the guests know further in advance what the check-in procedures are. I had to reach out to the host the morning of my check-in to ask for the details, as they hadn't sent anything to me yet.

We had a great experience! Perfect location - quick ride to the wineries & delicious downtown eateries. Hosts were very accommodating, even mailed a couple items that were left! Snacks were provided upon arrival and great local favorites suggested! Will stay here again if we’re in the area!

This house was perfect for my sister’s bachelorette weekend in Charlottesville! Host’s provided us with early check-in and late check-out which was super convenient. The house is very clean and comfortable. Stocked with a coffeemaker and grounds! Some previous reviews mentioned that the upstairs loft bedroom tends to be warmer but there is a window unit that is more than efficient. We were concerned at first since it was mid 90’s most days but the room was cooler than the downstairs when we kept the door shut to trap in the air. Definitely a great option for a good size group of people!!

The property was exactly as pictured, with plenty of entertaining space and sleeping for a larger party (8 girls). I did not give the listing an overall 5 star rating for 2 reasons: 1. we had a breaker switch from too many blowdryers and we did not hear back from the hosts after numerous attempts to contact and find out where the breaker box was located; 2. this location is not in the best of neighborhoods, but it is a prefect distance from downtown and the campus. Despite these minor downsides, I would overall recommend staying here!

This beautiful home made for a wonderful weekend away to Charlottesville. Our group of 10 was more than comfortable with enough space for everyone. The home is located in a lovely neighborhood that is quiet and safe and very close to nearby grocery/restaurants, the train station, and downtown mall. The home is well appointed and the hosts go above and beyond to ensure everyone feels welcomed and has the best experience visiting Charlottesville. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice location nearby restaurants and shops. Very reasonable price for this spacious rental. Privacy is a plus! Clean except for the refrigerator needed a little more cleaning. No paper towel to be found. Comfortable on the first and second floors. The third floor with the other bedrooms was warm with just one small AC unit. However we didn’t need those bedrooms. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms! Clean and made beds and plenty of towels and blankets. We had a great time and recommend this rental. Thank you :)
