Fab property in Barry.

Keith is a great host. Keeping in touch making sure everything was ok. Facilities were spotless and the beds comfortable. Lovely little touches made us feel welcome. Would absolutely recommend and would definitely return.

Enjoyable Welcoming

Spacious welcoming had left some extra food and wine to welcome us comfortable settee and great facilities

unable to control heating were cold overnight so when arrived in on night out were cold and would of liked maybe the heating on for a while aware had the fire but cold in bedroom

Host does not like negative feedback - Shame apartment has such potential in a stunning location

Read the didn't like before you read this. Brilliant Location - Ideal for walking to the beach. It is about 15-20 minutes. Asda is just down the road so you have somewhere to get any supplies you may need during your stay. There are a lot of accessories that can be used. This was our 2nd visit to the apartment and unfortunately our last - see comments below. I would recommend that people go to Barry but after my run in with the host maybe not stay here. I do not want anyone to have the same experience as me. It was nice to have somewhere to come back and chill out and watch TV after a long day at the beach, chuck something in the oven and just relax. However, I wouldn't really say that this is a positive to this particular apartment as this can be done anywhere really. I guess even if you were in a hotel or hostel you would be able to relax. It is not where you stay but what you make of it. I love Barry and despite being told negative comments about the place it is definitely somewhere I would visit more regularly. I will not be staying here, maybe a hostel is more suitable and would provide a better score?? 2nd stay here so this host has had a lot of money in the last 6 months. I said I would stay again and recommend it - I now strongly retract that statement. My initial score was 7 which irked the owner and caused him to bombard me with messages about it. Despite me being pleasant and polite in my feedback I was not completely honest in my first submission. The owner agreed that due to my feedback it was best I didn't stay again? Whatever happened to the customer is always right or trying to make amends? Surely as a business owner you do not tell your guests not to rebook. I do not have enough room to explain the whole situation correctly. Just know that I gave the property a 7 with the only niggly point being dust. Until the host practically harassed me to the point I had to block him. This is my honest review now!

The host!!! I ran out of room to complete a full review of the apartment and who owns it The host did not like my feedback stating that because my previous mark was a 7 it was as bad as a hostel. Not sure what hostels you are staying at that you would mark them a 7?? Please all be wary of booking and leaving anything negative. Host does not like it and instead of accepting that everyone is entitled to their opinion he becomes quite bullish and despite requests not to text he continued which resulted in me blocking him. This is such a shame as the apartment isn't that bad, but I do have a few pointers for improvement: It is basic and could do with some modernisation We experienced a lot of dust in the bedroom - it wasn't dust that had accumulated over a few days. It was thick and clumpy and all over the frame and under the bed The mirror was dirty and looked like someone had 'squirted' liquid over it There was a bike left in the hallway - the apartment is quite small and so are the hallways so this was a potential hazard Two showers in the cubicle but only one works - remove one? Cabinet in the bathroom is not really safe - potential health and safety hazard Have wooden slats to put on the floor in the shower, wouldn't recommend as not very safe either Place just felt this visit like it needed a good clean £25.00 for a log fire I booked by mistake - I did express this to the owner - no offer to refund - just left us a bag of marshmallows to toast - they would have cost £2.99 from B&M . This was a complete rip off.. £25.00 for a bit of kindling, some fire lighters, wood and 'free' marshmallows.. The host has left a sour taste in my mouth.. just be careful of staying here and leaving negative feedback. If it is anything lower than a 9 or a 10 I get the feeling it irks the host. Like I stated if you are in this business you have to take the rough with the smooth. This second submission is now my honest feedback.

The whole experience was superb from start to finish. Good communications with Keith from the start. He let me have an early check in at 12 noon at no extra cost which really helped. There were a couple of little surprises in the apartment: pastries and a couple of beers. I really can't fault the place and will stay here again when next in town. Cheers, Stephen.

A great experience

The location was perfect for us and the apartment itself just the perfect size for a family with a toddler. We've been provided with a cot for the little man and because we forgot our linen there, Keith was extremely helpful and posted it out for us. There is a lot of effort put in for each customer; we've been welcomed with a bottle of drink and plenty of fruits to keep us going for the weekend - my little boy loved them! Pastries, milk and all the ustensils you need to prepare yourself a breakfast/meal while staying in. It's only a few minutes drive to the beach and the fun fair. Supermarkets and shops nearby. It was very calm and quiet, not a noisy location. A great stay! Thank you.

A good base for exploring the area. Very friendly hosts with plenty of information to give.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable. There were nice complimentary touches on arrival like a bottle of fizzy wine, sweets, fruit juice and milk in the fridge, coffee, tea etc, very nice! Keith & Sharon were very helpful.

The set up is brilliant. Good taste to everything and the log burner is a bonus 😉

I think the technology in the house needs to be updated a touch. More like the Tv's need to have a bigger connectivity so you can stream youtube from your phone to the screen(for kids). But thats a small thing really. Can't complain about anything else

The host was very inviting, went the extra mile to make our stay memorable. There were plenty of extra touches such as a bottle of wine and breakfast in the fridge that we wasn’t expecting. Keith was lovely and really made a difference to our stay.

Not being able to gain access to the property after 7pm would have been slightly easier if we could have accessed the keys from a key safe however the host gave us a great tour and showed us where everything was.

Cute and quaint apartment

The owner Keith and Tracey housekeeping so so lovely and informative even down to the little towel for the dog that was left and the lovely complimentary tea,coffee,milk,biscuits,water and wine lovely touch
