Enjoy the wonderful Ocean view in this recently decorated Beach home. Only a few yards away to the Community pool and the Atlantic Ocean. Community pool for only 10 houses. We just love the outer banks. This trip is a escape from reality for us each and every year. The rental process is super easy and we try to renew our week each year. The cottage provides the best of all worlds: semi-views of the ocean, community pool, and homelike atmosphere. The property has provided the basic needs we have needed over the years including high chair, pack-n-play, washing machine/ dryer, and basic kitchen/cooking utensils. Only word of caution, is be a morning person as the sun comes shining in by 6 am if you don’t remember to add towels to the blinds to keep the sun out, you might be up early. Also the furntiure and decor is slightly outdated if you may attention to that kind of thing. Regardless, we just love our experience and “little beach house rental.” Looking forward to 2025.

Overall, the house (Atlantic Vu) was great! Our family loved the location and the large living area on the second floor. It is steps away from both the pool and the beach. Also, there are so many restaurants nearby! The staff who clean the house need to check under the beds, though. We found oranges, cereal etc. under the beds. Also, not all the lights were working. The master shower had rusty shower curtain rods. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with a few items that need to be taken care of. Thanks!

Great location Picture does not show outdoor furniture, but there is some - we would not have taken ours along if we had known. also old TV's were shown so we again took our own, but there were newer TV's there. Updated photos would be appreciated to future renters

Online the house is great. Upon arrival, yes it’s pet friendly, there was hair everywhere. In a chair in the master bedroom it was full of dark dog hair and dirty looking. There was stains all along the box spring in the full bedroom. Over all the furniture was dirty looking and definitely has been there for along time with no update. The pool has no shade or umbrellas or chairs. The location to the beach is excellent but that’s about all I can say was nice. It would have been great if it was clean overall.

Very clean and inviting space. Quick walk across to the beach and easy accessibility to the pool. Only recommendations I have is to finish upgrading the tv’s in the bedrooms, a normal size broom because sand on the floor is my pet peeve and the broom provided was teeny tiny! Other wise seems like the mattresses were being replaced and everyone slept great.

The house needs updating very bad. The TV in one of bedrooms was from the late 1950. It had a DVD player in the bottom of it We never got it to work There was a note above the thermostat that read do not turn below 76 or the unit will freeze up Do you know hot a house can get at that was temp. Found a dead crab in the tray of shells that was on the table Smell was really bad when you first came into the place

Nice house and great location, needs some updating. I hate saying this but the house is a dog friendly house and unfortunately there are a lot of strong dog odors ( urine in our opinion). The real estate company had the carpets cleaned for us but it only helped a little. Other than the odor the house was efficient, bathrooms need updating.

It was a great week for my family, including our two girls (8 and 6) and dog.Pros:- Pretty clean home. I was expecting a pet smell since the house allowed dogs, but surprisingly the smell was not there.- Awesome location. Beach is literally across the street (3 minute walk lugging beach stuff). Also centrally located to major attractions.- Community pool is very convenient and clean as well. We usually used it later in the day (no shade) and had it to ourselves for the most part.Cons:- Could use some TLC. Vacuum was ineffective. Hose sprayer outside is broken. Shower curtain has black mold. Squeaky mattresses.- Grassy area outside has little picky things that got caught in the dog's paw pads and irritated them. Also got caught in shoe/sandle soles and got tracked into the house. Ouchs in bare feet.

Summer vaca 2021
The house was as listed and very nice. Having the community pool was great for all. Beds need a LOT of work. Not very comfortable at all. Master room you could feel the springs in the mattress. Second queen room bed was soft but made a lot of noise. 3rd room beds werent comfortable either. Other than that the house was great. Property managers did a great job keeping us up to date on tropical storm Elsa and any things we needed to do. Everyone at beach realty was nice and helpful.

The house has been kept up nicely. The exterior and and deck look recently updated. The pet friendly house close to the beach is great. The carpeted stairs needs replacing. The only negative is the beds. The beds were not comfortable. They should definitely be replaced. The community pool was nice and accommodating.

Had a wonderful vacation, house layout is really nice for families. View of ocean and pool. Decor and furnishings are adequate/. Kitchen well stocked with all appliances, glassware and dishes. Housekeeping could have been MUCH better... found shoes under a dresser, dog food kibble under the furniture and the ceiling fans were filthy. Dog hair in the beds on mattress protectors. We are a dog friendly family but that’s not okay. Still had a great stay!

The house has a terrible dog smell.
Dottie went above and beyond cleaning the house and by trying to get rid of the smell. The guy that shampoos the carpet was great as well. He brought an electric scented blower and it helped tremendously. Both workers were excellent!!

Outer Banks vacation
We loved staying in Kitty Hawk and the location of the beach house to the beach was awesome. Great views from the house and only a short walk to get to the beach. The pool was very nice but it could use some chairs and umbrellas, you have to bring your own. The house could use some sprucing up but it wasn’t bad. The queen in the master in fine, but the one in the other bedroom needs to be replaced. It squeaks and is uncomfortable to sleep in causing your back to hurt in the morning. There was a shoe someone left under the dresser, paper behind the nightstand and lots of dust bunnies under the furniture. Bathrooms were clean and in working order, need exhaust fans installed in all of them. Some of the wands to the blinds we’re broke and one of the curtain rods was sagging in the living room. The kitchen stove needed a good cleaning. It stays very warm inside the house, especially in the bedrooms since the sign says not to turn the AC down below 76. A lot of water pressure in the shower. It could use a vacuum kept there since the carpet on the stairway gets very dirty. Needs new and larger rug in the entryway. Rugs and swiffer head had to be washed when we arrived. The outdoor hose has pinholes all through it and there’s no hot water in the outdoor shower. We had to call 3 times to get someone to help with the DVD player, that was a bit disappointing. In spite of these minor flaws we had a wonderful vacation.

Very close to the beach, nice pool, house is nice but very dated. The beds are old and sorely need updating, all the beds squeak so much they will wake you up when you move. The carpet on the steps smells so had to buy a couple air fresheners and the vinyl flooring and lack of rugs will have you sweeping like crazy. The proximity to the beach and the quiet pool are worth the minor setbacks though. The house had zero supplies to get you started though, not even a salt and pepper shaker. The rental company left a bag with some samples but no trash bag or toilet paper so bring your own!

We had a great week, this realty company is wonderful to work with. This house has the basics you need for a nice trip but the beds need updating. They are very noisy and the covers are very outdated. We were constantly waking each other by just rolling over. The shower curtain in the master really isn't functional.

Beach was beautiful and location of house was great. Pool was nice and convenient. Overall the house had what we needed but was very out of date and smelled bad even after they came in and sprayed. House was not cleaned well. Sand on floors and moldy shower curtains. Bathrooms were very out of date with mold and peeling paint. Tub didn't drain well. Kitchen stove made a constant strange noise and one of the burners didn't work. Broken glass by outdoor shower. A/C didn't work at first. Sign by thermostat stated that it had to stay at 76 degrees or above or would break. Very warm in the house! Asked maintenance to come in and they set it at 72 which was much better.

We all enjoyed staying in this house. The kitchen had everything you would need. Close to the beach and swimming pool. However the beds were sqeaky and the bedrooms and bathrooms were warm, no ventilation at all in the bathrooms, except a window.
