Good Hotel, Overly Priced

The breakfast and location of the hotel was very good.

1) The room was very dusty and the windows needed to be cleaned much better. 2) The water pressure was very bad I thought it was just an issue with my room till I asked other friends traveling with me the whole hotel has this issue. the water is very weak or sometimes even cuts for a few seconds. 3) The value for money is not there. I'm paying very high amounts for a hotel that didn't meet my expectations of the luxury that meets this price bracket. 4) There is also a very big problem with their security personnel in the entrance of the hotel. The First and Second night of my stay I was asked to identify my self and my room number once I had done so the security still kept me waiting at the entrance to confirm that I am indeed a guest in the hotel. This is unacceptable and I have never seen this in any hotel in Egypt or the world. 5) Last day I went out to breakfast I came back to my room way before check out time and I had left the don't disturb sign on my door only to see the cleaning crew fully cleaning my room. When I had told them "what are you doing I have the don't disturb sign on" they had informed me that the room is already checked out in the system even though I hadn't done so or paid for anything so how could I have been checked out. Honestly over all the hotel is good if I'm paying 50% less than what I paid. When you put these price brackets to a customer than automatically the customer is expecting very high luxury from this establishment. I left very disappointed and really unhappy with the price quality.

Simply amazing and calm

Staff is really helpful, smiling and very kind. Food is tasty and made with love. Room is clean, comfortable with a unique environment around and design. Shows at night are calming souls. The location is practically the end of El Gouna north side so it is so calm, peaceful, and private.

It is not about the property itself but there are some instances flying at the summer time that you don’t feel okay eating in the open air.

Overpriced for egypt/el gouna, many missed opportunities

Rooms are pretty. In our room the shower lighting was quite dark. You could also hear the upstairs neighbours walking around, bad insulated. We were lucky they moved in during the last 2 days. The cleaning was done very good.

-The prices of food can be up to 100%+ more than in other places of el gouna. The food in the same time is below average. Drinks are up to 15x higher than what you would pay in a store in el gouna, seems too much. - service at dinner was sometimes ok, sometimes you get ignored for 15min until you even can order drinks -The kitchen should be more confident with spices. -The water (brita) is not good in taste, should be completely overworked. -For breakfast there should be more cooling for milk products. - the beach is man made.. the sea is not swimmable as the water is too shallow. - pool is ok but overcrowded for the fact, that the hotel is large and spacy. - pool restaurant insanely overpriced even for el gouna. You can charge european prices but then at least deliver quality. Overall I don’t understand why management is not taking control over these obvious problems. The prices are high and should allow to fix such things.

Excellent place and service.

Spacious, well planned and equipped Willa. Beautiful view from the front row location but still very private filling.

The outside facilities were covered with dust.

The shower strength was so low maybe that was just our room? Also the light from the shn kept peaking from the sides of the curtains no matter how we closed them. Nonetheless it was a great hotel

another amazing stay, my 4th! will definitely be back!

Super relaxing and chic atmosphere. Large comfortable rooms and bathrooms. Very quiet, great sleep. Nice staff willing to help. Sometimes with limited English skills though but without impacting the quality of service. Very nice music and atmosphere at the main pool and in the common areas. Geat breakfast buffet and food at the restaurant. Arabian night on the beach is a must-do! Fantastic kite club on a great uncrowded spot. Duotone gear of the year. Private or semi private lessons available on a beautiful lagoon with shallow water. Very friendly staff. Beach use and storage available too.

The gym is quite small with few equipments

Casa cook is a special place, I love it. Great location with good view of the sea and kite surfers every morning, villa swimming pools, nice breakfasts, live music at dinner time

Air conditioning system is quite loud, food is great but there might be more seafood choice

Great experience. Welcoming team and expectational engaging attitude that leave great impressions about El Gouna!

It is well designed and the location with the pool and beach view is quite relaxing. More importantly is how the stuff is welcoming and engaging, they make the whole experience really smooth. Big shout out to Chief M Omar for his food, service and the very welcoming and caring attitude and similarly to Mr Jameel and finally to Mrs Randa for the exceptional shopping experience!

Please consider chrome cast enablement for TV in the room to give higher flexibility to watch my own TV streaming subscriptions.

They have only one restaurant The beach is not for swimming & in additional they don’t have any facilities on it no beverages no towels nothing. The hotel is over rated & very expensive At night you have to walk in the dark

The variety of food is not enough The idea of not having drinking water or mineral water ,we have to use used glass bottles even when I bought water & I pay it it was glass and not plastic,the hotel was obsessed of the idea of not using plastic ,even the straw was made of wood what reflected the taste of the juice or the drink.

Great for the purpose of unwinding and having a quiet time.

The place is very clean, and very quiet. Serene and calm design and furniture, modern and minimal and earthy. Perfect for a vacation of relaxing and unwinding. Food was absolutely great, for breakfast lunch and dinner. Great quality, and for really affordable prices. Great variety too.

We had bad service. The staff seem to be undertrained or not trained properly. They weren’t friendly or hospitable. There was also a lot of grouping of staff at times that just give a highly unprofessional vibe.

The unique styling of the hotel and room looked great from inside especially with your own pool.

I love that it was high class individual adults and not kids. And the professionalism of the hotel staff and concierge made me feel that I was in Europe or in Dubai.

The food at the restaurant could have been a bit more nicer but it was okay and the mosquito problem at the restaurant was unbearable.

Fab hotel, so relaxing

What a fab hotel! From the second you arrive it just feels utterly relaxing! We had the best time! The rooms are sp comfortable and big, the food fantastic and great to see so many healthy options, the spa, the grounds, the pool - beautiful! Most importantly, the staff!! So lovely!

The only thing that needs vast improvement is the gym. For such a large spa and a hotel that attracts such a large wellness clientele, the gym is really poor. It's style over substance, the equipment is really minimal,there are no mirrors, water, bikes, and a really small selection of equipment. It's tiny too so I would really recommend this is reconsidered as it is the only drawback from the hotel.

Casa Cook is an experience by itself, a must-try!

Casa cook was incredible! The hotel has a very special vibe, staff is extremely friendly, food and restaurants are great. We were in a junior suite room with sea view and it was just incredible. Private pool with easy access to the beach. Extremely clean and thought-through. The breakfast area is very chilled with a bar and a screen for movie screening at night. The pool is wonderful to spend the day, eat and have a drink. It’s kite surfing friendly (storage, Duotone school right by the hotel) and very well located. Bahi at the reception is super friendly and helpful. He helped with all bookings and recommended lovely places.

Don't tell anyone how good it is here!

Just loved it here. Going back with some girlfriends! Loved the vibe - Sam the DJ by the pool (loved his music) - the food was amazing, especially the bediun night and love their intention to become net zero - the masseurs were excellent - the facilities are fab - love how they got people to play volleyball on beach one day - love that it's so relaxing and friendly but equally calm - all so good. Overheard conversation by owner of El Gouna one day, who was sitting near to me, and was impressed at his apparent commitment to protecting the local environment.

Just a couple of few things which were minor - hairdryer in rooms are impossible (heavy, on a short cord and you have to press button down continuously - clearly not designed by a woman!) - occasionally some things were forgotten when our room was cleaned - and they could really do with a woman on reception to complement the male receptionists, who were great but perhaps not over welcoming or could speak great english.

Relaxing and beautiful designed hotel

Relaxed and chill place for a couple of nights. We spent a week here, doing lots of diving excoursions and a trip to Luxor. The hotel is very nicely but basic decorated, rooms are spacious and the beach is long and not crowded. The cocktails and the pool lounge are great.

There was some kind of “entertainment” a lot of evenings, live music, DJs or bands. It was a bit too loud for our taste, as we didn’t want to participate. The food is okay - for the price range and a 5* hotel it was not worth it. You get better prices in town. Also: Note that the beach is not good for swimming as the ocean is not deep enough and you have to walk in shallow water before you can actually have your knees in the water.
