The Space:
Aguasalá is an oceanfront 1 bed 1 bath apartment on Isla Verde Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Puerto Rico and arguably the best urban beach in the Caribbean. From Aguasalá you and your guests will be staying right on a 1.5 mile-long beach and will be within walking distance of endless options for dining and nightlife. The apartment is located 5 minutes from Luis Muñoz Marin airport and includes dedicated parking for one vehicle. You will love the beach views from every room in the apartment and the recently renovated kitchen and bathrooms. The property sleeps 2 adults in 1 queen bed.
This building offers access to a coin laundry in the lobby, where guests can access washers & dryers.

LIVING AREAS
Enter the flat, and you are greeted with beautiful beach and ocean views as you look across the dining room, living room, and balcony. The dining room comfortably sits 4 adults and has a convenient opening to the kitchen counter so you can serve meals buffet style. The living room has a flat-screen TV with cable and Netflix watch your favorite shows as you enjoy the views and tradewinds. The living room also has a wonderful layout for socializing. Enter the balcony and you will feel like you are literally on the sand. It doesn't get closer to the beach than this!
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
The master bedroom has 1 queen bed with epic views of Isla Verde Beach. There is a flat-screen TV with cable and Netflix. There is a full bathroom with a showerhead and fresh towels and essentials. The master bedroom has a closet. There are also drawers for extra storage.
PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY):
We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability.
KITCHEN
Aguasalá's kitchen has granite countertops and is equipped with a 4 burner stovetop, microwave, full fridge with icemaker, and a coffee maker. The kitchen is small but has everything you will need for an extended stay. The kitchen opens up to the dining and living room.
GETTING AROUND
We recommend moving around via Uber if staying within the general Isla Verde and San Juan area.
If you decide to rent a car, please keep in mind that this building has one assigned parking.
LOCATION
Aguasalá is located on Isla Verde Beach, Puerto Rico. This is arguably the best urban beach in the Caribbean. The beach is 1.5 miles long, and the Isla Verde strip has a long list of dining and nightlife options. The apartment is 5 minutes from the airport and has car rentals, supermarkets, a Walgreens, and multiple hotels and casinos within walking distance.
There are many things to do in the surrounding areas; here are some of our favorites:
Chill at the beach! It is one of our favorite beaches in Puerto Rico and a must-do if you stay at Aaguasalá. The apartment has beach chairs, towels, and a cooler for a long day at the beach.
Lunch or dinner at La Placita de Santurce a local market with 20+ restaurants and awesome nightlife. We love Santaella restaurant, local cuisine with a modern approach located in La Placita.
Shop at The Mall of San Juan. This mall is a 5-minute drive from the apartment and has excellent shops and dining options.
Explore the El Yunque Rainforest. El Yunque is an easy 30-minute drive from the property and is the only rainforest under US Flagship.
Spend a day in Old San Juan. Aguasalá is a 10 min drive away from the oldest city in all of the US. There is a lot of history to be seen and great food and drinks to have.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, especially during the peak months of Hurricane Season, which are July to October. Travel insurance is inexpensive and will reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, this will depend on what the coverage purchased covers. Make sure to review and understand the options before purchase. Disclaimer: we are not associated with any travel insurance companies.
AMENITIES
West Indies strives to deliver top-notch service and amenities to guarantee our guests feel at home while visiting our properties. All of our properties are outfitted with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach/pool towel per guest. Our properties typically include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler.
West Indies provides the disposable amenities necessary to get your vacation off to a comfortable start. These amenities include 1 set of hotel size soaps and shampoos per bathroom, 3 garbage bags, 1 roll of paper towel, 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 dish soap, 1 dish sponge, and a small amount of laundry detergent. We do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is your responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock with whatever else may be needed for the duration of your stay.

Check-out time is at 11:00 am
NO SMOKING: Smoking is strictly prohibited. A smoking fee of $500 will be charged if violated.
NO PETS: No pets are allowed at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if violated and you will be expelled from the property.
Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 8 am, no parties or noisy activities during these hours
The host will not pay for a hotel, vacation rental, or transportation expenses incurred because of an interruption in water or electrical service. If water or electricity is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests have the option of canceling their reservation and requesting a refund for the nights not used. Under no circumstances will we refund consumed nights.
All bookings are contingent on signing a short-term rental agreement sent via email. It must be signed within 48 hours of booking or before entering the property, whichever happens first.
Maximum occupancy of 2 adults/children at all times. This includes visitors.
Max. occupancy is strictly enforced and exceeding it may result in immediate cancellation of booking or being expelled from the property.
Towels and linens must only be used for their intended purpose. Do not stain them with food, grease or any other substance. Do not use towels to clean up any mess. Stained towels/linens will be charged.

We truly enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and organized. The location was perfect right next to the beach. Which is what we were looking for. All the attractions we went to was super close just an Uber ride away.

This apartment is in a very busy area so expect lots of traffic with very little parking areas at restaurants etc.
The apartment is dated but clean. It didn’t have cable, only Roku so I missed my local Puerto Rico news in the mornings. The best thing for me was the view and a great beach. Not all of the gates to and from the beach were working so we had some additional walking.

Everything was amazing, check in, check outand communication was perfect. The place was very beautiful especially the views from the balcony. The easy access to the beach was a plus. Everything you needed was close by. I cant wait to come back!

We love the Carolina beach area, and this small apartment is a great place for two people to enjoy sun, sand, surf, crystal waters, and amazing food and drink. We walked everywhere and had a wonderful time. The building is so friendly, and the apartment is well-furnished and clean. The only suggestion is to better equip the kitchen with things like a spork, a cheese grater, and measuring cups and spoons. Overall, a real winner.

Neysha, the property manager, was a godsend. She was very responsive to all our needs. She made us feel very welcomed and was easy to relate to. Always available. The unit was convenient, clean, with a beautiful view in a building with friendly helpful security, easy access to the beach and local restaurants.

The apartment’s location is excellent and the view is unmatched. The unit was reasonably clean by local standards (tables, floors, furniture, bathroom, working surfaces were all clean). On the other hand, the windows, door and window rails, and tight floor corners have not seen a deep cleaning in years.
The host and the building security were very friendly and helpful.
There was plenty of hot water, good air conditioning (only used 2 days since the weather was very comfortable), and the electricity and the appliances were reliable. The cable/internet service was another story: very unreliable, but that was not due to the host or the building equipment, but to the poor service of the local Internet provider. There are also several electrical switches, TV and other remote controls with no function. There aren’t any outlets in the bathroom.
The kitchen is small and has the bare necessities, skimpy on cooking utensils.
The furniture is a far cry from the one shown in the website. The wooden kitchen tables and bedroom furniture have been replaced with white Melamine furniture, with numerous old gouges, water damage, hot damage, scratches, and delamination.
We have been coming to Puerto Rico yearly and staying at Marbella for about 30 years and found this unit to be above average, but not excellent. In general, if you are not planning to spend much time at the condo, the location and view are great, but it could use a facelift and periodic deep cleaning.

We truly enjoyed our stay. The only issue we had was the gap on the door that allows the A/C to literally cool the entire outside hallway. With the electricity problems in the Island it's sad that it's wasted away. A simple door change would do

The property manager, Jessica, was very helpful and provided drinking water, as well as the property had water shipped in for general apartment use (showers, cleaning, cooking, etc) for 3 hours of the day. Although it was not the fault of the rental company, we were refunded a portion of our cost for the inconvenience. Despite the unavoidable inconvenience of the water main break, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property and would recommend to anyone going to Puerto Rico.

The location was excellent and the apartment has many positive characteristics (view, available supplies for bath, kitchen & beach, parking, security, onsite amenities, etc.) During our stay, a large area of San Juan had a water main break for a number of days. The property manager, Jessica, was very helpful and provided drinking water, as well as the property had water shipped in for general apartment use (showers, cleaning, cooking, etc) for 3 hours of the day. Although it was not the fault of the rental company, we were refunded a portion of our cost for the inconvenience. Despite the unavoidable inconvenience of the water main break, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property and would recommend to anyone going to Puerto Rico.

I’d say the most disappointing thing with this particular condo is the fact the owner decided to put 2 external AC units on the patio instead of replacing the internal unit for the central air. So the beautiful view of the beach and sound of the waves crashing was muffled by the sound of the two compressors on the patio along with blowing 120 degree air in your face, not exactly ideal for patio relaxing time.
Not a terrible condo, but for the price you should be able to do better in the same building or nearby.

I’d say the most disappointing thing with this particular condo is the fact the owner decided to put 2 external AC units on the patio instead of replacing the internal unit for the central air. So the beautiful view of the beach and sound of the waves crashing was muffled by the sound of the two compressors on the patio along with blowing 120 degree air in your face, not exactly ideal for patio relaxing time.

Find another unit in this building for a great vacation and amazing views.
We have stayed in this building before and looked forward to coming back this year. Upon arrival, we realized this condo has not been cared for at all. Sliders didn’t close or latch, the peep hole is an actual hole in the door, the bedroom window glass is broken and a safety hazard. Kitchen was a train wreck too. Not clean or cared for. Gross really.

The view is amazing ! You fell asleep and woke up to the sound of the waves. The property was very safe and close by to many restaurants. It was also conveniently located near Walgreens, CVS and the airport. Minor flaw was the rusting on the faucet of the kitchen and the side of the fridge. The front desk security was very friendly and helpful with tips of getting around. The property staff was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

We were comfy and the view was breath taking. Waking up to the ocean every day was wonderful. Communication was fast anytime we had a question. Super close to the airport. Walking right out to the beach was so easy. We stayed 7 nights and were happy with our stay. The beach chairs were camp chairs and one was broken, as was the beach umbrella. But you can also rent these items right on the beach. So, don't let the minor things hold you back. 9 days of relaxing on the beach
Beautiful view of the beach. Clean unit in older building with newer furniture and decor. We felt very safe. Security and COVID cautions were taken very seriously. Property manager was very friendly and helpful. Only compliant is the lack of dishware and age of pots and pans.

Beautiful view!
The view from this condo is breathtaking! You will not be disappointed! The condo itself was clean and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable. We used the balcony so many times during our stay. It was in the shade, which my husband needed, and allowed us to sit out there at any time. The water in the ocean is so many beautiful colors of blue/turquoise and made every day start with a smile as you looked out onto the ocean.

Beautiful Location Close to Everything
We had a great experience at this property. We were able to spend plenty of time on the beach but at the same time, were just a ten minute drive from Old San Juan. The building had great amenities available to guests and the view was unparalleled. We did feel that the apartment could definitely use some cosmetic upgrades that are not seen in the photos. Overall, we had a great experience with West Indies and would most likely stay again.

Great experience
We are from PR but we live in USA. We reserved a week long stay to be close to family while visiting during the COVID pandemic and it ended up being like a vacation for us. Views are breathtaking, you don’t get tired of the ocean. The beach is super clean, sunrise and sunsets are amazing from this location. Close to everything!

Great view
Managers was very easy to work with and prompt responses. The apt was clean and comfortable and had everything needed for our stay including beach items like towels chairs and cooler. The view of the beach and ocean was beautiful. The property is quiet and older but well maintained and everyone is very polite. We had a very nice experience

Nice location and incredible view
My wife and I stayed here for one week in February 2020. Everything was as expected and as presented in the listing. Walking distance to several restaurants and of course, you are right on the best beach in Puerto Rico. Had no issues streaming basketball games and movies on the included Wi-Fi.

Good, But Room for Improvement
There was a lot to like about this condo, but there were also a few issues. The location was wonderful - the building sits right on one of the most gorgeous beaches on the island, and the view from the condo is spectacular. Security was good, and the neighborhood was quiet and safe. On the downside, the kitchen wasn't very well equipped - there was only one cutting knife, and no large skillet to cook with. Also, we had a problem with the key fob, and the property manager had no idea what to do. We finally located an office within the building that was very helpful, but we only found it because another guest told us about it. Overall, a very pleasant condo, but a few improvements would be helpful.

Beautiful view and central to everything
Beautiful view and central to everything. There are many places that you can walk to you and the beach is absolutely beautiful. Just a quick drive to old San Juan and from the airport. Close to the rain forest which is a must while you’re visiting :)

Great Location! Great Views!
This property was fantastic! We loved everything. The apartment was spotless, roomy, and comfortable. The security staff was excellent, always there to help with any questions and eager to make suggestions.There's plenty of restaurants within walking distance and fantastic places to visit a short car or Uber drive away. The beach is kept ultra-clean and perfect for swimming or just lounging... and not overcrowded! The staff member from West Indies Mgmt, namely Miguel, went above and beyond his duties to make our stay perfect. He even let us check out two hours later as our flight home was delayed. And did i mention the airport is just a ten minute drive! We would definitely rent here again..it was great!
