Fantastic place to rest and starting point to visit places around Puglia

This masseria is an oasis of rest and tranquility. It resides 5 km outside Ostuni, which is one of the many great authentic and historic villages to visit in Puglia. The masseria is nicely located in the countryside and biological orientated. I loved specifically the large sweet water pool without chlorine (ozon regulated) and the ambiance and the very kind staff and (biological, real taste) food from the garden.

Nothing to mention, though the bed in our room was not the most comfortable

Esperienza di basso livello, follia scegliere questa destinazione con quello che si trova sul mercato.

L’unica nota positiva sarebbe la piscina se non fosse per la vista sui ponteggi e

Ho viaggiato in 4 continenti, visitato più di 100 paesi e mai sperimentato una cosa del genere, il che mi ha portato a documentare tutto con foto e video che posterò su Google. La masseria al contrario di quanto mostrano le foto sul sito si presenta incompleta, a tratti sembra quasi inagibile. Una struttura spoglia, fatiscente, povera di cenni storici e di alcuna caratteristica che richiami la regione o la storicità della zona, se non un forno che quando in funzione rilascia una nube di fumo tale da rendere tutta la parte superiore (dove era la nostra camera) inagibile. La camera, che ha un ingiustificato prezzo di 430 euro a notte, si presenta graziosa all’apparenza, per nulla pratica nel concreto: la porta di ingresso presenta una serratura difettosa che si blocca spesso dall’esterno lasciando gli ospiti chiusi fuori dalla camera. La tenda della camera (che non era neanche rotta) non copre neanche metà della porta a verti d’ingresso rendendo impossibile dormire dopo le 6:30 del mattino quando la luce ti batte direttamente in faccia. Lo scarico si incastra spesso e l’acqua continua a scorrere per qualche minuto dopo il suo utilizzo così come succede al soffione della doccia che continua a perdere per 10 minuti dopo averla utilizzata . Il primo giorno ci accorgiamo di due sedie rotte sul terrazzino della camera e lo segnaliamo prontamente alla reception che le rimuovono dopo ben 3 giorni. La direzione in generale non è in grado di offrire assolutamente il tipo di esperienza che vogliono rappresentare con i prezzi. Sprovvisti del menu a pranzo per la piscina perché ancora troppo presto, sprovvisti di un portiere notturno o qualcuno che resti in caso di emergenza. La struttura all’interno non è accessibile dopo le 23:00 neanche ai suoi ospiti!!!!!! Nessuna persona che resta di notte, nessun numero verde. Abbiamo avuto un problema di notte e ci siamo dovuti mettere a urlare nella speranza che qualcuno ci sentisse.

A unique and delightful stay in the countryside.

This Property truly respects the land. The food is Farm to table. It is unique in its architecture. The staff is very helpful.

we were told we could bring some wine, but were charged a corking fee.

Excellent hospitality & brilliant vibe

The property is huge, very romantic and historical. The staff are extremely polite & attentive. We extended our stay as well. The swimming pool is gorgeous, the property has an amazing vintage feel. Fabrizio & Cosimo are wonderful at the property. They were super helpful with whatever questions we had. The rooms were spacious and the bathroom is well equipped and spacious too. The beds were super comfy too.

Wonderful, relaxing and beautiful Masseria

Stunning property with incredible swimming pool and wonderful, quiet, relaxing surroundings. Friendly and welcoming staff. Clean and comfortable room with well functioning air conditioning. Lovely welcome.

More vegetarian options on the menu would be nice, as well as a regularly changing menu which would encourage guests to eat more often at the Masseria. Despite dinner being very good, the menu is very overpriced and should be tempered a little both for dinner and for the breakfast “extras”.

Absolutely authentic masseria

Breakfast was lovely - very authentic and the masseria offers really nice touches. For example we had their home made granola one morning with their own Kefir. The pool area is a gem - fabulous place to relax. The staff is so welcoming and they did everything to make our stay memorable. The on-site restaurant is worth visiting and we had a great meal there. The surrounding countryside is idyllic.

This hotel is very much work in progress

The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was generally good. Nice views from the grounds.

There are many things mentioned on there website that were unfinished. Example is the Spar and gym & the pool was empty. The room does not have a safe or tea/coffee making facilities and there is only a rail to hang your clothes on. Most of the walks were overgrown and need cutting back.

The staff were all so kind and the property had a lot of fun additional elements like a beautiful pool and huge grounds as well as cooking classes and a top notch kitchen.

Stunning venue, beautiful scenery, the perfect Italian escape

A beautiful Masseria, in a stunning location. Fantastic food and attentive staff. I cannot recommend staying at this Masseria enough, you will not be disappointed.

proximity to all the gorgeous towns in the area. quite and relaxing. the artwork on the property was stunning and to only find out it was the owners daughter was even more lovely. very knowledgeable staff that helped us chose great dining over 3 nights stay.

Masseria San Paolo Grande is a place for those who seek the experience of South Italy compressed in one single place. Calmness and intense flavors are surrounded of olive trees in this 14th century walls which magically derive the character of all these centuries. Highest quality of service in all levels…Thank you Francesco, Sami and rest of the staff for the worth remembered hospitality! A blind folded recommendation!

It might seem as exaggeration but as much as you try there is nothing negative about this place…

we very much enjoying simply everything about this place. it’s a gorgeous property in a central location while still feeling secluded and romantic. we loved the staff and service. the food was incredible and the environment was just magical and so luxurious the whole time. can’t wait to go back.

Superb

Beautiful country hotel.

The place is beautiful. the grounds are lovely and we particularly liked the garden where we had both dinner and breakfast. The food and drinks were exceptional. We also found the staff incredibly helpful and friendly.

There were limited amenities in the room. A couple of hangers for clothes, even though we were two to a room. No waters or little touches like tissues. Very bare bones. But the room was clean and the shower was large, which we liked.

Wifi was not working Breakfast was limited We had to pay for the bottle of water that was in the minibar. But nothing else was in the minibar so E thought it was included. There were a lot of noise at night outside

Very good

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Whenever we had a query or a request they were happy to help. The room was extremely spacious and the bathroom was clean and large. The air conditioning wasn’t that strong however we did go during a heatwave

Huge property and nice rooms

The Masseria is huge, the staff is very friendly. The room is in a very nice and modern style, very clean, comfortable beds. Huge shower. It‘s definitely worth to stay here.
