Adequate

Location is brilliant, you are very close to many little shops and restaurants. The staff are very friendly and reasonably helpful. Room service was fast and the food was very good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good, all be it a little limited.

The hotel is old and decor is a little tired. They have not put any significant Load Shedding prevention/mitigation solutions in place other than supplying a torch/lamp should you need a light in the dark during an outage. The bed was fairly uncomfortable and the room I was in was very noisy (located right next to reception and on the entrance side courtyard, so consistently had guests and staff making a great deal of noise either outside my window, in reception or outside my room). Amenities are reasonably basic. I did not find the rate to be good value for money (travel a great deal for both work and personal and have stayed in far superior for much less!) Lastly, waiting staff at breakfast were not very good, the atmosphere was thick and I was not even offered a cup of coffee.

Great location in Stellenbosch

Great location in the centre of Stellenbosch. Staff are wonderful and really helpful. Rooms clean and tidy and we had a great view from ours.

we were stuck in a room that was smaller than a caravan. the bathroom was smaller than a small kitchen table. if you were round you would not fit in the shower.

The location and the fact that the breakfast was included. Also the room was very big.

Having to use the stairs from ground especially in loadshedding, the parking was also tight and the orange juice at breakfast not being 100% juice

Supper at the Stellenbosch Kitchen was amazing - food was well presented and really tasty - we had the beef sirloin and the beef fillet.

Has a lovely atmosphere, good location and staff are very helpful & welcoming

Would have liked lights to stay on during times of loadshedding, as is the case in some other hotels.

Very well run place and excellent service

Well run place and great for a couple of nights. Staff were very friendly and accommodated our early check in and organised our airport transfer. We enjoyed the well appointed 2 bedroom apartment for our family of 4 including a complete kitchen and laundry. It is in a central and secure part of the town and also has a very good restaurant for dinners on site

One of the bathrooms was too small and little water pressure, queen bed in main bedroom was a bit small, limited buffet breakfast

A happy stay!

Excellent location, lovely staff, room had everything and sparklingly fresh and clean. would definitely stay there again.

The restaurant didn’t give me the 10% discount. I guess partly my fault for not pointing it out at the time I paid the bill. I wasn’t too unhappy but mentioned it to the hotel management so that in future they flag the restaurant that the patron is a hotel guest.
