Beautifully designed property, perfect for families. There’s all sorts of little corners easy for kids to be entertained. Even a well designed playground, kids pool and lots of toys both at the beach as the big pool. The beach area is where I could live forever. Good music playlist too.
Minor details, overall ordering a la carte is expensive. Bottle of water €6,5 isn’t very inviting to stay hydrated 🤣

The property is like a haven. Great atmosphere, lovely architecture, recently renovated. Wish we had more days to stay!
Nothing, everything was great!
2.5
breakfast was good, staff was polite
Beach - so much necessary to improve - guests were forced to bring by themself the mattresses for the sun beds, the sun beds old and worn out, the pathways dirty
Kids were loud, shouting and screaming everywhere

no coffee machine in the large suite.

Location is right on the beach and there is a lot of shade. The beach and pool are safe for children.
There is no suitable children’s menu

We were upgraded to the pine suite.
That suite provides a privat pool - amazing especially for our toddler.
It made our staying even better.
The garden suite we needed to go for one day wasn’t so practical. Really spacious and modern, but also pretty dark and loud. For people without a toddler maybe perfect because it’s really close to the bar.
The breakfast was well selected, the food in the restaurant pretty good with a modern twist and the fine dinging experience is great. Nice creative cuisine - worth a try.
The privat beach was clean and several sun lounger were provided.
The hotel is like a small tropical garden, very beautiful.
Anyway you feel welcomed as a family with a small toddler there. They have a nice playground for all kind of ages.
There is not enough sunshade at the privat beach or at least they are not big enough.
With a small child sometimes a bit annoying.
Especially the pool for babies/toddlers didn’t have any shadow at all so we really couldn’t use it.

The room, restaurants and staff eere amazing.
The pool was small and the sea was top hot due to its location; it is a closed bay and no stream that eould fresh up the water to be cleaned or to cool down. We had to go to another beach club.

Some really good design. Green spaces.
Found it strange for a seaside resort not to provide space to dry your swimsuits. Had to use the chairs.
Restaurant really hot - not enough fans provided.
No coffee machine in the room (as was stated in the description).
Toiletries were in some fancy bottles, but I'm sure they were filled with some generic stuff. When we arrived, there was no soap or body lotion in the room, and when i asked, they brought us some proper products (very different from what was in the room already).
Horrible sewage stinks around our room - we were not able to open a window or sit in the otherwise nice patio.
Do not recommend!

The resort is very nice as well as the staff and food.
The internet connection was very poor. There are some rooms which are close to the bar and are very noisy.

loved the location, nearly everything about it. it’s excellent for families with small kids which we were not.
we loved the massages with Ilia they were excellent . We loved the rooms and the beautiful views and being able to walk to other gorgeous restaurants and in to town .
the only thing was the music being played at the bar

The exterior and interior design of the hotel are great. Every little detail has been thought through. The staff was very nice. The room has everything you needed and also of high quality. Breakfast was great. The atmosphere at the beach is great, very good cocktails.

The nature and the green areas. Felt like Thailand. Location excellent by the beach and very quite.
Value for money. Too expensive for what is offered. Rooms and facilities can definitely being improved. Some staff weren’t polite and client oriented. Mostly in restaurant. Finally we had communicated to the Hotel that we are going to celebrate our birthday and they didn’t bother to arrange anything to make our birthday special. Last year we went to a 5 star in Rodos and from the beginning till the end we were treated like kings and queens for our birthdays. In EKIES they didn’t care at all…Hotel lacks of personality and some good vibes. Someone has to be the hostess there.
It’s not the infrastructure that makes gusts feel comfortable but the people. So Management needs to think their policy around. Hotel needs more smiles, more kindness and professionals not just workers and nice swimming pool. I found guests more welcoming and smiling than staff.
Finally the beach in front is like a lake. Not like standard Halkidiki beaches. But in walking distance you have Karidi beach which is paradise.

The private beach was excellent. The breakfast is very good.
The room was small and not very clean. The shower head holder was broken and the room itself needs some renovation. There were cracks in the walls. The ceiling is low and you can hit your head easily. My girlfriend was feeling sick and we wanted to pay for an extra hour or two after the check-out which is at 11 a.m.(and check-in is at 15:00) but one of the managers was not very compliant at all and gave us only 30 minutes and quote "not a minute more"!

It’s a stunning setting and comfortable relaxed hotel where they are not constantly trying to upsell.

this is a nice high-Standard resort at a wonderful beach.
Unfortunately our room was not made every day.

Fantastic hotel within beautiful local nature, full of trees, bush and flowers. Both restaurants are a must. Clean rooms, great selection of products for the mini bar. Excellent personal products. Beautiful decoration.
There's nothing I can point of, other that a lot of little kids screaming around. But that's not the hotel's issue rather than the families letting kids loose.

The property is stunning and our room was beautiful. The staff and amenities were amazing as well. We enjoyed our breakfast buffet every morning. Lunches and dinners were either on site or at a nearby cafe during our stay. The meals were delicious, portions were perfect, and it was beautifully displayed. Every evening we would sit by the ocean and enjoy a chocolate shake or espresso shake while we played Uno. On site, Exploreboatrips provided amazing service on our day excursions to Diaporos Island and to Mount Athos. The views, snorkeling, amazing water, accommodations, friendly service, and beautiful rooms were more than I expected. Our family of four absolutely loved our stay at Ekies. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

The team (bar, restaurant and spa) are brilliant. Breakfast is excellent, the design of the hotel is lovely (very boho - and chilled). It is very kid friendly! If you are a couple travelling alone looking for peace you may want to find another hotel. The facilities at the hotel are very good (they even have a pump for big inflatables!). Great restaurants (Paris and Melia) in walking distance of the hotel.
The kids club is miss sold. Its for over 5s that can swim and is run by the watersports team (so its all water based). There needs to be a kids club (for an hour or two) for kids aged 3 or 4+ that is on land. My daughter was desperate to do things with other children but is 4 and can't swim independently. Given there were so many kids at the hotel of this age I think it would be very popular and it was definitely missed by many parents we spoke to.

- nice beach area
- beautiful hotel complex
- good breakfast, great choice
- very friendly staff
- very clean
first of all it was quite a shock to us when we arrived and the hotel was full of families with children. probably 90% of the guests were there with their toddlers. unfortunately the fact that ekies is more of a family resort was mentioned nowhere - neither on their homepage nor on booking. you just see the beautiful pictures that promise serenity and a relaxing holiday. there was always somebody crying or screaming around you and the pool is literally unusable as it is more of a children’s playground. for a couple like us who just wanted to have a nice relaxing holiday that was a big minus.
this point leads us to the next issue. it seems like most of the rooms are connected with each other or at least with one more room - probably to make it more flexible for bigger families to stay.
on the homepage you can book a room or an interconnected room.
we had booked a junior suite - thinking we would have a nice big room for our stay. on arrival we found out that we were supposed to stay in an interconnected suite. at first we didn’t mind, cause if you have a room like this in Germany it doesn’t really matter (guess we have other acoustical standards). it turned out the next morning (quite early) that the sliding door was more like a paper door. we could hear every single word and noise the family next doors were making.
so we went to the reception and asked for the room we actually had booked - no connection door.
as the place was fully booked the only option they had was a so called white suite. we were told it was 2 classes higher than what we actually booked but they would upgrade us for 70 euros more per night. as we just wanted to have a quiet room we agreed. unfortunately it turned out that this white suite wasn’t very luxurious after all. the bed was standing in the middle of the room on a podest (dangerous if you forget at night) - no bed head or light switches next to the bed.
